Chapter Wild 'n Out
Mira’s POV
The last week was very interesting for me.
Liam still comes for his ‘nightly visits.’ And I will be honest when I say that I am a little surprised. I didn’t think of him to be the kind that is that sexually frustrated that he would need release on a daily. But I am certainly not complaining. I don’t know if it’s because of me or his sexual appetite, but I enjoy the idea that he can’t get enough of me. I certainly can’t get enough of him.
But now I’m sitting with another thought of concern. Am I his mistress? I keep hearing both ‘yes’ and ‘no’ in my head as I try to answer it. I’m worried, because deep down I know I’m happy that he comes to me almost every night. I know that if he’s getting it from me, he’s not getting it from someone else. He’s the Alpha for goodness sake. I see women throw themselves at him all the time. So this thought does make me feel somewhat good, but doesn’t that make me desperate?
Is this what a ‘side girl’ feels like? Always waiting for him; ready whenever he is; happy whenever he gives you attention.
I don’t want to be anyone’s ‘side’ girl’. Last I checked, I was the one that made this arrangement. If anything, he’s my ‘side piece’.
I think I need to state this so we’re on the same page. I’m not his to do with as he pleases.
But then there’s another rising problem. That care-free and, I think very dirty, voice in the back of my mind is getting more prominent. She’s making me think, do and feel all sorts of things. She’s turning me into a sexual fiend and I like it, and I think Liam does too.
She’s building this sense of confidence in me, making me braver. I’m saying and doing things I would previously never let leave my mind. Liam is seeing a side of me that I usually kept hidden to just myself. I shouldn’t let him get access to this much of myself, especially since I’ll be leaving.
At breakfast this morning, I actually had two servings. I’m a foody yes, but I tend to control my food intake. But I was just too hungry.
Recently, it’s like I can taste food better, and it’s even more delicious. These people should really start considering having steak for breakfast.
“Hey you. What’s with all the food? You’ll get fat if you continue like this.” Aubrey chuckles as she’s trying to joke with me.
“Oh don’t you worry. I don’t get fat.” I smile back.
She looks at me curiously. “Really?”
“Yeah. I’ve been a foody since I was a kid. I eat and eat, but don’t pick up any weight. Apparently I have a very fast metabolism.” She almost looks annoyed. “But now that I think about it, do you think it’s a wolf thing?”
She snorts. “It’s definitely not a wolf thing. Have you seen Don, the fatty? He was also there at the barbecue. Wolves have good genes, but we gain weight too.”
I nod unbeknownst at this. “Oh.” I take another bite of the crispy bacon.
“You’re really oblivious aren’t you?” Aubrey says looking at me chew.
“Huh? What do you mean?”
“Nothing. Anyways.” She leans in closer and away from the other’s chatter. “I may have a surprise for you.”
“Really? What kind of a surprise?”
“I’ll tell you later. I must first confirm it.” She nods her head towards the guys. I guess she needs to get their permission for it then.
She really is my saviour in this place. Always making an effort to get me out and into things that are close to what a typical human would call normal.
“You know they’ll probably just say no.” They’ve all been so stressed out lately, I don’t think they’ll be bothered with a request regarding me.
“Not if I already have one of them on my side.” She smiles cheekily.
I raise my brow. “What do you mean?”
“Just watch and learn.”
She pulls away from me.
“Wait. You’re going to do it now, here?”
“Yeah. Why not? They’re all already here.”
She turns before I can even bother respond. She clears her throat loud enough for everyone to hear, gaining attention to her. She really is getting more confident.
“Alpha, I was wondering whether it would be fine for us to go on another outing outside backgrounds?” She doesn’t say it with a firm enough voice, but damn, kudos to her for going directly to the Alpha.
Noah seems surprised and annoyed.
“Where do you want to go Aubrey?” Liam sounds like he might consider it.
“Well, it is Friday. I thought we could all go to ’Wild ‘n Out’, just out of town.”
Noah’s eyes widen and he jumps up from his seat. “Are you out of your mind? Why would I let you go there?”
She grumbles. “Noah, it’s just a club, and it should be fine, especially since all of you will be going as well.”
“All of us?” Liz looks excited.
“No! Why would you want to go there? This is her doing isn’t it?” He points directly at me.
Really Noah? I think you’re the big brother that hasn’t figured out yet that his baby sis is all grown up.
Aubrey rolls her eyes. “No--. Actually she doesn’t even know about it. I wanted it to be a surprise to her.”
“A surprise to go to a night club?” Mason asks.
“Yeah. Well, not that any of you may know. But, she loves dancing, she’s a dancer actually.”
“You’re a dancer?” Liam looks shocked for not knowing this.
“Yeah.” Aubrey continues. “That’s what she does in the woods all day. And I think it’s pretty unfair that Theo is the only one that gets to see her.” Liam is giving me an angry look. I’m just happy that no one can see him. But I don’t think Theo’s chuckling is helping.
“It was just by chance that I got a glimpse of her dancing the other day. I thought taking her out to dance will be good for her……….And I think it will be good for you guys. You look so stressed these days.” She adds on.
That’s when Theo speaks, “A night out does sound good, but if not, I don’t mind my private shows.” He shrugs his shoulders innocently.
Oh I see now. Using the big quiet guy to agree and actually help persuade the others to persuade the Alpha. But I think it’s having another effect on Alpha dearest.
Noah still groans annoyed, but the others are all looking at Liam expectantly.
He’s quiet though, like he’s thinking of reasons not to go, i think.
“Well, everyone has been a bit stressed out lately. Maybe the night out will do us all some good.” Liam gets up from the table.
Everybody else though seem surprised and happy at his answer.
“Oh yeah. We going clubbing.” Mason stands up and smiles in Noah’s face.
Liz leans towards Aubrey and me all excited. “Guys! I haven’t been clubbing in ages. You better help me choose an outfit.” We just giggle with each other.
“I think we’ll need to help each other out with that.” Aubrey smiles.
“You better not be wearing anything short!” Noah shouts across the table. He’s clearly listening to our conversation.
“You better not be keeping an eye on me tonight.” She shouts back.
Later that night
We’re all in Aubrey’s room trying to get ready for tonight.
Whoever filled my cupboard with clothes did think to get a bit of everything. I doubt it’s Meg, because these short, bodycon dresses don’t look like something she will approve of. But then again, they were hidden in the back of the closet. I don’t think I would have found them had I not looked.
Aubrey asked to borrow one of the dresses in my closet. She says she doesn’t own anything sexy because Noah always puts it back before she can pay for the stuff. Luckily we’re almost the same size.
I give her a black halter-neck bodycon dress. It’s long sleeved with the shoulders cut off. With rhinestones stitched in on its bodice. It’s short, but it looks amazing on her, and matches her dirty blond hair. Besides, with the neckline and long sleeves, Noah can’t complain too much.
Sarah is putting on a sleeveless emerald bodycon dress, with a simple v-neckline. However, it is just as short and the sides are open and covered with only a sheer lace material, going all the way down the dress. The colour makes her short dark hair pop.
Liz is going all out tonight. Something tells me she doesn’t get to do this a lot, and she wants to make a statement. She has a nude coloured, halter V-neck bodycon dress on. It is backless and runs down just above her ass. There are thin chains hanging from the back of the strap at her neck, all the way down to the edge of the dress, just above her ass. Only a toned body like hers can fill a dress out as confidently as she can. I’m just glad she let me do something about that hair. It’s so long, and I’m happy we decided to go with curls. It gives it more volume. She looks like a supermodel.
Me on the other hand, I am just wearing a simple maroon bodycon dress with a plunging neckline. It has a wrap dress design with ruching on the side and has slinky straps. It sits tight on me, it’s making all my curves look extra curvier, and this was actually the safest dress to choose from. The colour does make my long hair and eyes pop though.
I guess we’re ready to make our way down. With our high heels, the whole house knows we’re making our way down the stairs.
I can hear the guys in the living room chatting and laughing. I wonder how long they’ve been waiting.
As we turn the corner to the living room, we see the guys sitting on the couches, but the moment Mason catches sight of us from the corner of his eye, he stops talking and gives a loud whistle. Everyone is looking at as now, they actually stood to see us better.
They all look so surprised with our outfits. I’m hoping we didn’t over do it. Theo just gives us all an impressed smile as he nods his head in disbelief.
Noah just looks annoyed and clenching is jaw.
“You girls are gonna get the club shut down.” Mason chuckles.
I see Liz do half a twirl out of appreciation for his compliment.
“What do you mean. These girls can get us free drinks.” Aiden says just as Liam hits him over the head.
“Ow, what was that for?” He looks annoyed.
“Come on. Let’s go.” Liam sounds all serious. But he looks annoyed as well. Why? He doesn’t even want to look at me.
Don’t be desperate for attention Mira. Don’t go to him. Make him come to you. I tell myself this, so that his attitude can’t dampen my mood.
We take two cars. The girls didn’t want to split up, so Theo offered to drive us in one car, while the others took another. We look like the type to go sit in the VIP section the way we’re all dressed up and driving in black SUV’s.
We got to the city and when we stopped, I knew we were in front of the club, with the way its neon lights keep flickering.
I get out and make sure I’m near one of the girls and in sight of one of the guys. Apparently, I was told to remain close to them. They don’t want me running off somewhere, or out of sight in case I do something ‘traitorous’. Whatever that means. But I don’t want to do anything to ruin tonight. I intend to have some fun.
And no. I didn’t forget that I’m practically kidnapped. And now I’m going clubbing with the people. I guess I just figured to see the silver lining in things. Who knows? If I was difficult, maybe I would still be stuck in that dungeon. But here I am, at ‘Wild 'n Out’, getting a clubbing experience free of charge. What can I really complain about?
Let’s have some fun.
