Chapter 003 Signing
Olivia thought about it and looked at Jenson, a man she had known for eleven years, and even if he became a real couple, she should not be at a disadvantage. "Then, let's sign an agreement and get married by contract."
Jenson's eyes twinkled, "Okay, will you draft the agreement or should I?"
Olivia immediately said: "I write, write the agreement for you to look over, think it is okay, we will sign, contract marriage to block my mother's mouth, and also my quiet."
Jenson smiled: "Then write it now, I'll look at it when it's done, and if it's okay, we'll go to the Civil Affairs Bureau this afternoon to do the formalities, just as I'm free this afternoon."
Olivia: ...... Why does she think Jenson is in more of a hurry than she is?
It must have been her mistake, Jenson was just helping her out.
"Okay, I'll go write and print out two copies of the agreement on the printer later. jenson, you stay here and have some snacks and wait for me."
Olivia stood up as she spoke.
Jenson nods with a smile and a wink to make herself comfortable.
Olivia stood up and remembered where she was. She looked around nervously, but the customers around her were either sipping their coffee or chatting with their friends, not paying any more attention to her.
So it seems that her conversation with Jenson was not overheard.
Olivia breathes a sigh of relief and rushes off to draw up the marriage contract.
After Olivia walked away, Jenson pulled out his cell phone and called, and when the person answered, he ordered in a low voice, "Tommy, push the 3:00 p.m. meeting to 9:00 a.m. next Monday." Tommy was a little surprised, the afternoon meeting was quite important, but she didn't ask too many questions and respectfully responded, "Yes, Mr. Foster."
Jenson hung up the phone.
Half an hour later, Olivia came over with two pieces of paper, she handed one of them to Jenson, the person followed and sat down and whispered to Jenson, "Jenson, look at the agreement I wrote." Jenson took the paper, put the agreement on the table again, and looked at the contents of the agreement carefully.
Olivia has written four conditions.
First: Jenson is hired as Olivia's boyfriend (or husband) and is paid $5,000 per month, including food and housing, and two sets of clothing each season.
Second: During the agreement, if one of the parties meets true love, the contract can be terminated early without compensation.
Third: During the agreement period, both parties will not interfere with each other in their private lives.
Fourth: If both parties do not meet true love during the agreement period, the contract period is one year.
Olivia said apologetically, "Jenson, my coffee shop was opened last year, last year also lost money, this year, although not a loss, but also not profitable, I can only pay you so much, but I can cover your food and accommodation."
Jenson said indifferently, "It's okay, I have a job."
He then asked Olivia, "Can I change this agreement?"
Olivia nodded her head: "Of course, if you think something is not good, just ask."
Jenson asked Olivia for a pen, and when he got it, he crossed out the third agreement and handed the paper back to Olivia, saying, "There are only three agreements, so you can reprint two copies and we'll sign and fingerprint them."
From now on, he, Jenson, is "underwritten" by Olivia.
Olivia looked at the third article he had crossed out, frowned, and after a few minutes, as if she had thought better of it, she finally said nothing more and reprinted the two agreements as Jenson had instructed Both of them signed their names, Olivia also brought the ink, and both of them put their fingerprints on it.
Jenson lifted his right hand to look at his wristwatch and said to Olivia, "At this hour, the Civil Affairs Bureau is still working, so let's go do the paperwork now."
Olivia was a little hesitant, "But, Jenson, I only have my ID, the details are in my mom's custody."
It took several hours to go back and forth to get detailed identity documents, and by then the Civil Affairs Bureau was closed.
Jenson smiled, "You have an ID card, I'll take you to the police station to open a certificate, you can also apply for marriage procedures. It just so happens that I have friends who work at both of those places." Olivia...... She really thinks that Jenson is more anxious than she is.
A few minutes later, Jenson led Olivia out of the cafe.
He led Olivia to a Mercedes Benz, unlocked it, pulled the door open for Olivia like a gentleman, and gestured for Olivia to get in.
Olivia looked at the luxury car in front of her and, influenced by her big brother's great love for cars, Olivia recognized that this kind of car was worth several million dollars.
Jenson is a rich man?
As if she could see Olivia's confusion, Jenson took the initiative to explain, "I bought this used car from a friend of a friend for a few tens of thousands of dollars to raise my class when I go out." Olivia: "......"
Jenson This car, if new, will cost several million dollars, even if it is a used car, it is more than tens of thousands of dollars, and it looks 90% new.
But that's Jenson's business, she doesn't ask.
When Olivia got into the car, Jenson closed the door for her and then pulled out his cell phone to make another call.
In less than two minutes, Jenson got in the car and said to Olivia as he put on his seatbelt, "I talked to my friend, let's go to the police station and get a certificate, then go to the Civil Affairs Bureau and we can do the paperwork."
Olivia nodded, "Jenson, your friend is so helpful."
Jenson smiles, and his friends are very giving.
After the car started, Olivia carefully inquired about Jenson. Although they had known each other for eleven years, they didn't know each other well, and even her brother didn't know much about Jenson. "Jenson, where do you live? Where do you work?"
After the question, Olivia hurried to explain: "I am not genealogical, or we have known each other for eleven years, I still do not know where you live, and now we are going to contract marriage, I think, I always need to know where you live."
Jenson replied good-naturedly, "I rent an apartment in Goldlake Garden, my house is a little far from where I work and I don't want to go back and forth, oh, and I work for the Flento Group."
Olivia was relieved to hear him say that he was renting a room. She was afraid that he was not a simple person and that she would get into trouble, such as when his parents thought they were not worthy and dumped a check for $5 million on her to leave.
"The Flento Group has good benefits, right? The apartments at Goldlake Garden are expensive, and the rent is not even low for one month."
She wouldn't have had that much money to rent an apartment in Goldlake Garden anyway.
Jenson was patient, "The benefits at the Flento Group are great, I went in right after college and worked there for several years and made a decent income to support myself."
He glanced at Olivia and added, "Even after I'm married, I can afford to raise a wife and children."
Olivia quipped, "That's natural, Jenson is the real quality guy."
Jenson smiles and accepts her compliment.
One hour later.
Civil Affairs Bureau
A man about Jenson's age was standing in front of the Civil Affairs Bureau waiting, and when he saw Jenson's car slowly arriving, he immediately greeted him with a smile, and when the car was parked, his smile was so bright that it could rival the sun high in the sky.
Jenson and Olivia got off the bus one after the other.
The man looked at Olivia and asked Jenson with a smile, "Jenson, this is my sister-in-law, right?"
Jenson turned his head to look at Olivia, who wasn't shy, since she and Jenson were pretending to be a couple anyway, and graciously extended her right hand, "Hi, I'm Olivia."
