Chapter 88: Rescue (4)
"It's those bastards."
As soon as Didi said those words, all four of the Warmen gulped some saliva.
All of them knew that they were no match for the goblin that was sitting in front of them.
What was worse was that Dawn's body was getting better by the minute.
The poison doesn't even need to be mentioned as the wound on Dawn's stomach was closing.
Dawn's arms were also reattaching themselves with the help of some light.
And if Dawn woke up while being in his perfect state, even the mighty Warmen would have to die.
At least, that was how they saw the situation as they looked at the kneeling Moris and the unconscious Dawn.
They weren't even taking the other two goblins that are standing silently by the side as they were too weak.
It was then.
As the Warmen was considering whether to fight it out or just retreat, the gray goblin spoke while having some leisure in his voice.
"I forgot about the humans invading because of the recent issue back home, but to think that the humans would get arrogant just because we didn't strike back..."
That goblin's skin had literally bulging veins all over his body as if he couldn't contain his anger right now.
"Aren't you getting too cocky for coming too deep in the forest?"
Whoooo.
A white light came out of his body as he released his power. It covered the whole area where they were taking a conversation.
If the Warmen had to describe the white light, it would be too soft for it to be some kind of attack.
That was the reason why they didn't mind it too much and didn't take any action to protect themselves.
However...
"Huh? Don't you think so?"
Crack.
The land suddenly had a crack in it when Moris whipped his head towards them.
The white light that covered the area dimly soon turned into vapor. However, they felt something was different as they felt pressured.
"Shit!" Gaize muttered as he tried to stand against it desperately.
The pressure was heavy, and they could see it take form as the land beneath them was giving in.
It wasn't even something that should happen in the first place, so they couldn't easily believe it.
Believe that a goblin that was only kneeling could exert this much power and pressure on the strong Warmen...that was ridiculous!
'N-no...if the Myth is true...'
However, Gaize didn't think that way. In fact, he knew how strong Moris was when he first saw him.
It was because he knew what kind of goblin Moris was that he believed how Moris could pressure them like this.
If anything, Gaize actually wanted to escape as soon as possible to report this to their higherups in the Warman's home.
Why?
It was because not only the Warman but all of the east's forces would cease their wars and come to the Raoz Forest to destroy the Myth.
That was how absurd the Myth was.
Either way, Gaize knew that he has to get out of here now.
However, the situation isn't as easy as Gaize thought it would be.
If Moris wanted to destroy them, he could have just stood up and made the Warmen meet their maker right this instant.
Wait. Gaize thought as he stared at Moris.
'Wait...maybe, he can't!?'
When Gaize thought of this, he carefully examined the situation if he was right or not.
After all, he knew how strong the Myth was. Instead of taking his time, making Dawn be exposed to more danger, Moris could just kill Gaize and the others.
However, he didn't.
And the answer Gaize arrived at was...
"He can't."
...Moris couldn't do anything in this situation and could only threaten the men from afar.
Why?
Gaize shook his head when he asked. He didn't know to know. He just needed to take advantage of this fact.
What's more, there may come a time when they could kill Moris. That is an achievement that would beat killing the Goblin King.
No...it was the grandest achievement one could make when it concerns killing the goblins!
That was why Gaize looked at his subordinates with a hand sign when he saw Moris was looking at Dawn.
He made sure that they wouldn't be noticed as they planned.
Meanwhile...Moris was just calculating things in his head about what he should do from now on.
'I can't defeat them while I'm healing...the king.'
Moris looked at the two goblins that seem to know that they have no place here.
'They can't help in this situation...'
Moris knew that Didi and Hig were basically useless here, which didn't make the situation better.
What was worse was that Moris couldn't heal Dawn in one go. He would have to use whatever he used before twice just to complete Dawn's treatment.
That was how severe Dawn's injury. However, Moris knew that letting the enemy know about this was crucial.
That was why he was taking his sweet time in threatening them.
But when Moris looked at the Warmen again, he soon knew that they realized it.
Why?
It was because the will to fight could be seen on the Warmen's eyes. Before, they wanted to retreat as soon as possible, and in any way possible.
If those disobedient eyes started appearing, it would only mean one thing, and that was they now knew that Moris had his hands tied.
'This is not good.'
Moris knew that Dawn was still in bad condition. If he were to move Dawn now when he already started the operation, that would mean certain death for Dawn.
'His body won't be able to handle it...'
Either way, Moris was in a bad situation. The only thing that he could do while in this situation was pressuring them to keep them from moving.
And that was exactly what he did.
"Presence."
Zhunnggg!!!
A new type of light, no, it couldn't be seen as a type of light anymore.
Moris used his Presence; the form of his Presence couldn't be described as it continued looming with Moris as the center.
When the Warmen looked at him, they couldn't hide their shock.
Was it death that has been personified? Was it hell that has incarnated?
Either way, the effect was immediate as they couldn't move. No, they could move, but...
"I-it's heavy..."
Their body was so heavy that their muscles that have been trained chose not to move.
However, it was not only them that was affected by Moris' Presence.
Thud.
"Kuha!" Didi vomited blood as he fell on his knees as he felt his insides burning.
Splash.
His blood was cleanly splattered on the ground, and when he looked beside him, he could see Hig trying to hold back the blood coming out of his mouth.
It was quite weird as they should have been allies with Moris, but Didi actually appreciated it.
If Didi was not affected, it meant that Moris was holding himself back out of consideration for Didi and Hig.
Of course, he also took a look at Dawn, but there were no changes in his demeanor or face. He was still unconscious.
It was then.
The Warmen who were being pressured suddenly spread out as each of their palms shone with a red light.
It was the Insignia of their tribe.
However, just when they were about to unleash some kind of attack, something unusual made them stop in their tracks.
"What...?"
No, it wasn't the pressure of Moris, or anything related to him at all.
It was that...
DUDUDUDU.
"The forest is moving...?" Gaize muttered as he felt the pressure bearing down on him disappear.
Thud! Thud!
As both sides continued focusing on each other, they weren't able to notice or pay attention to the happenings in the forest.
That was why even Moris, who only focused on pressuring the Warmen, involuntarily let go as he felt it.
Dududuududu.
The force coming from Moris' back was so huge that even he couldn't ignore it.
And as he looked back, he heard the forest roar with its mighty inhabitants.
GuaaahhhH!!
With his heightened senses, Moris could see the creatures making the noises.
Green skins, rough and robust bodies, scary-looking faces...it was clear what kind of creature was making the forest go wild.
Dudududu.contemporary romance
As those creatures kept running at full speed, they were able to reach Dawn's location in a jiffy.
Shuuuuu.
All of their bodies were emitting some kind of smoke as they looked at the scene of three goblins basically dumbfounded, one goblin unconscious, and four human standing at the ready.
Grrrr.
Their fangs bared, and their eyes glow ominously as they kept watch.
It was then.
An angry voice resounded out behind the newcomers...the goblins.
"W-what the hell happened here?!" The goblin...Karkas shouted as he saw Dawn lying down on the ground.
Because he made the goblins run so fast, there were a lot of them puffing and huffing for some air.
Smoke was also evident as it kept rising from their feet.
And that increased their ferociousness as Karkas ordered the death sentence.
"Kill those insolent humans at once!!!"
