Chapter 22
Chapter 22
Who droves 20 mph? On a wide road?
However, Charlie was not her driver, so Lauren would not ask him to adjust his speed. She could only take out her phone and cancel the order.
Lauren blamed herself for being distracted, otherwise, she would not get into Charlie's car without looking at the license plate. Noticing that Lauren looked at her phone for a long time, Charlie was a little dissatisfied, and said coldly. "Do you really treat me as your driver?"
Lauren was still immersed in her thought of getting into the wrong car, so she said 'yes'.
Charlie smiled and became considerate for Lauren, saying, "It's okay. Probably you just don't like me and have no topic to talk
with me, so you would rather spend time in your phone. It's my bad. I know that. I am just not as cute as Leo."
Lauren, "..."
Lauren was so tired that she didn't want to explain anything. If Charlie wanted to be angry and let him be. She didn't want to say anything.
Then her phone rang and it was a call from her grandpa. She picked it up.
The old man went fishing with the old guy today, and found that the old guy had an excellent grandson, thinking of his granddaughter, he wanted to match the two.
"Lauren, I wanted to ask you something," Mr. Bennett senior said.
"Okay."
"Do you have a boyfriend?" Mr. Bennett asked.
I don't have a boyfriend," Lauren shook her head.
Mr. Bennett continued, "Have you been in a relationship before? What kind of man do you like?"
Lauren smiled and said, "I have never been in a relationship before. As for men, I like him to be gentle and good-tempered." Knowing that her grandfather was going to introduce some guy to her, Lauren just said it.
She had never thought of falling in love with someone before, but after meeting Leo, Lauren suddenly thought getting married was not such a bad thing. She wanted to give birth to a cute baby like Leo. "Are there any other requirements?"Mr. Bennett still asked.
Lauren was thinking about it and when she was about to say, here body suddenly jerked forward, with her head hitting the back of the front seat.
It was Charlie who suddenly increased his speed!
Lauren rubbed her forehead and found that the speed had reached 80 mph.
She didn't know why and felt that Charlie was too strange.
"Grandpa, I am in the middle of something here and I will talk with you when I come back," Lauren said and then hung up the phone. She looked up at Charlie and said, "Mr. Frank, please pull over. I can take a taxi back."
"Why? Because I am driving too slowly? Can't you wait to go back to start your date?" Charlie said, frowning.
Lauren also frowned, and said impatiently, "It is none of your business, Mr. Bennett."
The car came to a sudden stop, making a sharp and screeching sound.
He was such a crazy man! Lauren thought.
"You can leave now," Charlie said, wearing a cold and depressed face.
After Lauren got out of the car, Charlie smashed the steering wheel angrily.
Charlie couldn't understand why Lauren said that she had never been in a relationship before. Did she forget him at all! Did he mean nothing to her?
