The End

“Welcome all to High Moon Pack, I am Alpha Ajax and this is my brother Alpha Aries, this right here is our amazing mate and Luna Cierra.” Ajax’s voice booms around the hall as he welcomes the hundreds of packs that have travelled to our territory for the ball and the chance of finding they are fated. We’re standing at the top table staring out at the beautifully decorated room, white table cloths and chair covers, yellow roses give a colour pop in the centres of the many tables spread out in front of us, lemon chair sashes tied into a beautifully presented bow adding a stunning touch of elegance. The white and yellow tones make for a bright, peaceful, and happy look. The room appears much brighter than usual, white drapes cover the usual stone walls, and the place is unrecognisably stunning. Jas and I made the perfect colour match choices. Great to see after hours of staring at swatches, nearly making me cross-eyed.

I am standing between Ajax and Aries as we welcome the pack, in a lemon floor-length fishtail dress with wide, ruched straps the bust has a deep dip nearly to my naval and beads adorn the top and scatter elegantly as they get to my waist, the light bounces off them as I walk. Ajax and Aries look as handsome as ever in navy-fitted suits with lemon shirts and navy ties and lemon pocket squares topped off with brown formal shoes. These hunks are what wet dreams are made of and they’re all mine.

I look out to the room and smile at our audience as I am introduced, giving a small polite wave. Aries carries on from his brother’s opening speech, “We are excited to host you this year as now, the largest known pack. We are grateful that so many of you travelled so far. We will be having a three-course meal and drinks served to tables before moving on to mingling under the stars whilst the great hall is rearranged for an evening of dance and drinks. We hope you all enjoy yourselves and to all of you unmated wolves, we wish you all the luck in finding your fated here during your stay. Thank you.” He finishes, and the crowd erupts into a round of applause and chatter as we take our seats at the top table.

Jas leans over from the seat opposite to me and grabs my hand, “Cierra, we did it, it looks beautiful in here I’m so excited to see how the evening goes.” her voice is so full of excitement and she has a sparkle in her eyes, Joseph beams at me his smile reaching to his eyes, “I knew you would make a fantastic Luna.” I feel my heart swell at the compliment and my smile matches his. I thank Joseph and join in the conversation with the rest of the table.

A delicious aroma fills the air as the servers begin to bring out the first course, steak and greens with sweet potato mash and a side jug of red wine gravy, It looks divine. Grandma bites into her gravy-covered steak and lets out the biggest moan, the table bursts into laughter at her over-the-top reaction. “Well, there ain’t much I wouldn’t do for a bite of that steak every meal.”

The first course went down a treat, the conversation flowed as did the drinks. I noticed that Titan seemed a little antsy, I caught his eye and smiled, he returned the gesture but his smile didn’t meet his eyes. The second course was brought out as soon as the first course was cleared, the omega’s were very efficient and fast workers. I dug into my millionaires’ cheesecake and vanilla ice cream, it was so smooth and delicious. Rach sits animatedly telling Grandma and grandpa about how she met her mate, Grandpa finds the mate bond and the pull when mates first meet fascinating, Grandma almost laughed herself off her chair when the Twins told her how I had freaked out when Rach shifted into her wolf right in front of me so id stop bitching about them lying to me. The cheese, biscuits, and coffee were served and tasted as good as the rest of the meal and we were all full and ready to mingle by the time the platters had been cleared up. We made our way to the back of the pack house and outside as the rest of the pack and our guests followed Aries’s hand on the small of my back and Ajax’s fingers entwined with my own. The twins started to talk to some of the visiting packs and I spotted Titan standing along shifting from foot to foot sniffing the air and scanning the crowd. As I walk over to him he spots me walking over and smiles softly. “Can you smell that amazing smell? I thought we were having something lemon for dessert but it never arrived, I keep catching the most amazing fresh lemon scent and my wolf is jumping around in my mind but he doesn’t know what’s wrong.”

His mate must be close to Cici. Ersa tells me with a slight chuckle. As I take a look around I notice Titan turn and look in the same direction. A petite redhead comes walking towards us slowly, Titan shifts a little and smells the air as she nears us.

“Mate,” they both say in unison before rushing to each other, Titan scoops the redhead up and I watch, a smile on my face as they engage in a passionate kiss. Well, that explains his strange behaviour this evening I guess, I leave them to it and go in search of my Alphas. I am so happy Titan has finally found his mate, I’m sure we will hear all about her and get to spend time with her when they have finished getting to know each other. I chuckle internally as I spot my hunky Alphas, they look so hot tonight.

“Hey baby, I thought you were with Titan. Is he ok? He hasn’t seemed himself the evening.” Ajax asks, “He just found his mate, his wolf must have known she was close all night. She’s beautiful, I’m so happy for him.” I tell him, and his face immediately lights up Aries walks over and Ajax tells him the good news, Guess we won’t be seeing him for a few days.” Aries chuckles, he takes my hand and guides me to the dance floor, he lifts the back of my hand to his lips and slides his hands down my arms then places his hands on my waist. I slide my hands over his bulging pecs and push them up slowly so I have my hands on his shoulders, even in my heels I’m too small to link my hands around his neck, but this is nice. His hands cause sparks to spread across my body as we move sensually and slowly to the classic chilled music. As selfish as it seems I don’t want to go back inside to the ‘disco’ part when it’s all set up now, is like my big bad Alphas to take me up to our room so I can enjoy having them both all to myself. Before I mention it to Ajax and Aries who I know will happily take me up on my offer, I glance around and find my grandpa and grandma slow dancing only Grandma is dancing with Ajax, and Grandpa is dancing with Rach. I nudge Aries and point in their direction and we both let out a laugh, it feels good to be free with no immediate threats to the pack right now. The pack is growing and everything seems right with my life now my grandparents are here. I hope they decide to stay... I haven’t told Ajax and Aries I’m ready yet but I’m sure Grandma will be a fabulous pup sitter, until then we can have fun trying.
