Double the trouble

Argon’s words continue to play in my head.... ‘I can use my connections’ what connections does he have? Does he know something about the rogues?

I’m sitting in my office with Rach and Titan working on writing up the new kitchen staff in to the rota while they work on their own things. The Omegas do a fantastic job in the kitchen, every one of them and id like to see if we could work in a little pay rise sometime soon, ill have to run it past the Luna and Alpha.

We ended up having brekfast brought up to us while we tended to some inter pack issues and went over a new merger request from rapidwaters pack. As a smaller pack they worry they won’t be able to last too much longer with their population being largely women. Once the female meet their fated they will more often than not leave their own pack for their mates pack. Their proposal seems good and they have an estimated total of 180 pack members and some really great warriors, from what I have heard. I made some notes and sent those and the proposal through to Luna Jas for her to review.

It’s finally gotten to lunch time and I am starved, I picked at brekfast at best as I was feeling queasy at my earlier interaction with Argon.

“Rach could you contact the kitchen and tell them I’ll be taking lunch in here please?” I ask sweetly

“Cici you can’t be serious! You’ve hardly said two words since that pig Alpha came this morning and now you want to stay cooped up in here for another meal?” Rach snaps at me concern in her tone.

“Rach I can’t get his words out of my head I have some things that I’m working on so I’m just going to stay here and eat, you and Titan can go to the hall I don’t need 24/7 babysitters.” I sass back at her.

“Luna, Beta calm down we can all eat in here. Rach enjoy your meal the Alpha’s and Luna are going to have our heads for letting Argon near Cici after the last unfortunate meeting they had at the summit, but his words I feel were a warning. Agron wants our Luna and I won’t be leaving her side until the twins get back any minute now.” Titan says firmly but with a smirk on his face. Noone told me that they were on their way back and the twins hadn’t text. Turns out my suspicions were right, Cain had been texting the twins alerting them of Agrons arrival, calming them is going to be exhausting. There is still the issue that Agron keeps bringing up, the fact that I am not marked yet. I am still a little anxious about mating with the twins. Don’t get me wrong I’d love to jump their bones but the both of them at the same is still a little scary. I have very much enjoyed fooling around with them but we are going to have to discuss mating and marking. Alpha’s usually can’t keep their own wolves back this long and I know it’s hard for them to be around me and not mark me as theirs but I just havnt been ready. This whole relationship has been a whirlwind of events.

Our meeting was alot more brief than I was hoping for.

Excuse my manners today, you looked absolutely radiant standing there tall and confident. The curves of your body hugged by that tank and skirt, your perfectly smooth skin on your hands felt amazing on my lips, if you were mine.... I would never let you out if my sight.

If you’d like to join a strong Alpha, I’ll be waiting.

A wave of nausea comes over me as I finish reading the email, he is such a sleeze. I point my laptop to Rach as my office door flies open, Aries comes rushing in followed by Ajax. I slam my laptop shut to stop anyone else seeing the repulsive message, I’ll make sure they’re nice and calm before I let them read this.

“LEAVE” Aries bellows at Rach and Titan, they stand bow their heads and run out of the room. Aries picks me up throws me over his shoulder without as much as a hello and marches me to our bedroom as Ajax comes running up behind us.

“Firstly Cierra, are you OK?” Aries questions me looking me over as though to see if I’m hurt once hes sat me down on one of the sofas.

“I’m fine my Alpha, stop fussing and come give me a kiss I missed you.” I reply just wanting them close.

" What about me?” Ajax says with a lop sided grin.

“Yes you too.” I chuckle.

Ajax bounds straight over but Aries stays put eyeing me from his place infront of me just a couple of steps away. Aries takes my face in his hands planting a soft kiss on my lips and cuddling me in to his side. Aries face softens and he comes to sit at my other side. He slides his hand in to the back of my hair and pulls my head back slightly, he takes my lips in his, I melt in to him giving him what he needs. The kiss is rushed but passionate and very different to Ajax they never fail to amaze me at how very different they are for identical twins.

We sit cuddled close in comfortable silence for a while, Ajax stroking small circles on my leg and Aries mindlessly running his fingers through my hair. Aries finally breaks the silence.

“How are you feeling my love?”

“I’m OK thankyou I was a little taken back this morning by our unexpected guest and Ersa hasn’t stopped screaming at me about it since, it’s nothing I can’t handle though and I had Rach and Warriors to protect me.” I say

“I don’t like that he thinks he can come to our pack unannounced and proposition our future Luna!” Aries says a small growl slipping from him as I feel his anger surge through him once more.

“Baby, we know you are protected by others but you have to understand, another Alpha wants our beautiful Luna, we have to protect you ourselves. Just the thought of him thinking he can come near you makes me want to rip someone’s head off.” Ajax continues.

“So what happens now?” I ask them both

“Father has declared their pack an enemy. If they are seen on our land.... they will be killed on sight.” Aries explains

“Oh” is all that I can make leave my lips, I know wolves are very different to humans and I now know the wolf laws but its still a shock that someone can just be killed for entering the property. The way life can just be discarded without trial is a baffling thought for me.

We spend the rest of the day in to the evening talking about the meeting, the parts they attended before they returned home to save the damsel in distress. The twins explain that their parents will be back at some point tomorrow and that they will make their parents, the Luna and Alpha aware of Argons claim to have sources to make his pack bigger and our suspicions about him and the rogues.

I lay in bed between Ajax and Aries and take a deep breath as I drift off to sleep wondering what tomorrow will bring in this new crazy life.
