In good hands

When we got back from the beach we were so tired we showered and passed out, but not before Aries reminded me that I owed him one. I fell asleep content with my life right now, no matter how hard it is as a newborn, learning to be Luna, keeping up with not one but two mates, hiding this from my grandparents and keeping up with my school work I wouldn’t change it, not now, not ever.

I’m startled awake by Ajax frustrated voice “sh*t, sh*t, f*ck, why all the damn time!”

I look up to where his voice is coming from to see him throwing clothes in to two duffel bags, “Aries come on man.” He shouts.

Aries grunts at Ajax unwilling to unwrap himself from around me.

“Where are we going Ajax? Is everything OK?” I ask my voice still sleepy.

“Sorry baby not we unfortunately, Aries and I have been called along with our parents to an emergency meeting regarding the increasing number of rogues and their attacks, they seem to be continuing to move across the country taking down packs as they go.” He replies still flapping around packing both of their bags. My heart sinks at the thought of my Alpha’s and their parents leaving me. Ajax seems to notice and stops running around to come to the opposite side to Aries, he climbs on to the bed and takes my hand in his. ” Believe me baby we don’t want to leave you but you need to stay here while we’re all gone, Rach and Titan have been assigned to you. We’re taking mum and dad’s Beta so the others will be here protecting you... you have nothing to worry about.” He places a soft kiss on my lips but I need more so i turn my body fully to face him, the cover slipping down exposing my thin silk night dress. He wraps his arm around my waist pulling me in to him and out of Aries embrace. Aries let’s out a low growl and scoots up so he’s back behind me. Ajax takes my mouth in his in a slow, passionate kiss, he licks my lips his tongue looking for a way in to taste me, as our tongues dance together tasting each other Aries leans up and moves my hair from my neck trailing butterfly soft kisses down my neck. I pull away from Ajax breathless and turn in to Aries, I can’t help but feel a little sad I don’t know how long they will be gone for but it’s nice to know they’ll miss me to. Aries nuzzles himself in to me his face in my hair his hands roaming my body softly over my night dress as if he’s trying to memorise it. I pull away from them both, I know the worry is written all over my face. A tear escapes my eye and Aries brushes it away his expression one of concern matching Ajas’. ” What’s wrong my love?” Aries asks.

“Last time....I..I nearly lost both of you.” I stutter out my words barely audible.

“Baby, nothing is going to happen to us. We’re not going to defend a pack were going to meet up and discuss whatever the council wants to discuss with all current Alpha’s and future Alpha families. You don’t need to worry.” Ajax assures me. “But we do have to start getting ready to leave now.”

I nod at Ajax digesting his words, feeling a little better now he’s told me they will be safe.

I stand at the front of the pack house outside the big double doors ready to wave off my mates and the Alpha and Luna, Aries says he will be back in the morning but Ajax seems to think the meeting might run over the course of a few days. Aries says They might just be able to show their faces take part In the first part and then leave their parents to it. I tell them to get going and they can call me when they arrive, Jas fusses over me ordering all sorts of Rach and Titan to make sure I eat and am safe and everything else in between she pulls me in to a big bone crushing hug, it’s like a whirlwind as I’m soon spun in to Joseph’s arms as he places a kiss on my forehead it feels so fatherly, just what I have been missing in my life.

I wave as the SUV they’re taking drives away another following them with a hand full of warriors inside.

Titan comes to stand between me and Rach throwing his arms around our shoulders. “Come on let’s go and get some brekfast.” Titan says loudly. Rach and I let out a laugh, it’s just like Titan to be thinking about his stomach. We head inside and meet the rest of the guys in the main food hall, I already kiss my Alpha’s but I know I’ll be safe without them for just a couple of days.
