Her Heart Her Terms (Lily and Xavier)

Chapter 253

Chapter 253

"Mr. Fulton" Timothy was on the verge of tears. "Are you coming back or not?"

The competition had started hallway through. Xavier had only seen Lily twice. The first time was during the briefing yesterday, and the second was when she dashed away faster than a rabbit earlier. His face was darkened. "Come to the hotel in 30 mindes."

Timothy hung up the phone and rushed to get the car without walling for further instructions.

Xavier spotted Lawrence approaching with a group of judges as he was about to tomto leave.

"Mr. Fulton." Lawrence offered a flattery smile. "The restaurant has an anged dimer. You may head downstairs to enjoy the meal."

"It's alright." Xavier straightened his posture and pulled out his room ley from his pocket, "P competition. You may discuss with Ms. Lynde first if anything happens before making any decision. ensure everything is handled meticulously for the upcoming

He could still keep everything under has control even in his absence. The organizers wouldn't act without internal deliberation if Lily made a mistake and got caught

He would step in when that happened. Lily would then be at his mercy and subjected to his judgment.

Lawrence immediately caught on. "Don't worry, Mr. Fulton, Nothing will go wrong. You'll be the first to mow if it does."

The group of people respectfully saw Xavier off before heading to dinner.

Glonia discreetly observed Lawrence as if calculating her next move.

"Mr. Green," one of the judges asked curiously, "Is this competition really such a big deal? Not only is Mr. Devereux from Devereux Group here, but so is Mr. Fulton. Mr. Fulton had even stayed overight here.

"I noticed he spent most of his time standing in the corridors. Doesn't he have packed schedules at Nova Group?"

It gave Lawrence a headache at the mention of these two influential figures. "I'm sure they're busy. He's probably just using this excuse to take a break.."

Lily managed to forget about Xavier within five or six minutes after slamming the door shut and blocking the sight of his face. Nothing could distract her from the competition right now!

She made some rough adjustments to her design after dinner, tweaking the color palette and making final comparisons before finalizing the layout.

It was already midnight by the time she finished. However, she didn't feel the least bit tired. She decided to pull an all-nighter to refine the details.

The contestants could submit their designs in advance on the final day and leave the hotel earlier, Some contestants had submitted their work by 10:00 am. and checked out

Lily carefully polished the last few details of her design. Although she was satisfied with the result, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing

She ordered and finished her breakdast before packing her suitcase while silently reflecting

All of a sudden, inspiration struck at 2:00 p

op.m. She replaced the warm yellow tone in the entire design with a deep forest green before submitting the design and applying to leave the hotel through the system. However, her application didn't go through immediately. Meanwhile, the receptionist called her. "Ms. Joyner, please head over to Ms. Townsend's room on the fourth floor."

"Alright." Lily couldn't help but recall the gaze Gloria had given her the other day.

She took the room key and headed straight to the fourth floor.

Gloria's room was right above hers. The door was ajar. Illy knocked lightly before Gloria asked her to come in.

Gloria's computer screen was active as it displayed the design Lily had submitted moments ago,

"You're Contestant Number 52, Lily, right? Gloria adjusted the black-rimmed glasses on her nose and fixed her sharp gaze on Lily.

Lily stood across from her. She appeared calm and composed. "Yes, I am."

"Can I ask you a question?" Gloria lowried her head again to look at the design on her screen. "Why did you use such bold colors for a minimalist style?"

Most of the modern minimalist designs favored soft and pastel palettes.

Lily had initially adhered to this approach as well. The outcome was beautiful but wasn't enough to leave an impactful impression

After much deliberation, she replaced the warn yellow tone with deep forest green. "This is because minimalism doesn't conflict with boldness. They can still be considered minimalist as long as the pattems and forms aren't overly intricate." Gloria's eyes held a glimmer of admiration behind her black-rimmed glasses, but she quickly masked the emotion the moment she looked up.
