Her Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1266

Melvin Winson stared intently at her, his radiant and dignified face reflecting a mixture of emotions. He suddenly approached Veronica Murphy and embraced her tightly. “Veron, thank you.”

This action drew the attention of the people around them, and their curious gazes scanned the two of them. Veronica Murphy promptly pushed him away. “Alright, let go, or I’ll be caught up in scandals again tomorrow.”

Melvin Winson immediately released her, glanced around, scratched his head, and smiled innocently. “Sorry, I was just too excited.”

“Settle down, I need to go to Blue Star Lake in the back.”

“Why are you going to Blue Star Lake?”

“Because it’s snowing…” Veronica Murphy held Ben’s hand and pointed outside at the snowflakes dancing in the wind. “Sam Symons filmed the snow fight scenes in advance.”

“Oh, that’s good, as long as it’s not a water scene, Melvin Winson said. Veronica Murphy couldn’t help but laugh and cry. “But it is a water scene.”

“What?” He frowned, looking worried. “It’s winter, what if they freeze while filming the water scene in the snow?”

“It should be fine.”

After Veronica Murphy finished speaking, she walked away directly, holding a sugar-coated hawthorn in her hand and took a bite. Then she turned around and waved the sugar-coated hawthorn at him, who was still standing there. dumbfounded. “It tastes authentic, just like when we were kids.”

“As long as it’s delicious.”

Melvin Winson turned around and watched Veronica Murphy walking ahead. He took out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and took a puff.

This woman was gentle, kind-hearted, beautiful, ambitious in her work, and could enjoy high-end restaurants while also liking inexpensive snacks. Her simplicity was filled with sincerity, making it hard not to admire her.

Since he met Veronica Murphy until now, Melvin Winson had not noticed any flaws in her. He couldn’t help but wonder why Miguel divorced such an exceptional woman.

“What are you thinking?”

Suddenly, someone tapped his shoulder from behind. Melvin Winson turned around and looked at Eviette Robins standing behind him. He slightly raised his chin, gesturing for her to look at Veronica Murphy not far away. “She can endure hardships.”

“Heh. Filming fight scenes in sub-zero temperatures, it’s going to be quite a spectacle.”

Eviette Robins raised her hand and flicked her long hair, adjusted her down jacket over her costume, and a hint of fierceness appeared on her classically charming face.

“She has already divorced Miguel, why is she still targeting her?”

Melvin Winson raised his hand, holding a cigarette, and a faint wisp of white smoke escaped from his lips, carried away by the chilly wind, dissipating into the air.

“You don’t understand.” She shook her head and sighed, “Although she divorced Matt, she is still the mother of two children. As long as she is present, she poses a threat.”

Despite Matthew Kings and Veronica Murphy publicly announcing their divorce, for some reason, Eviette Robins still didn’t feel secure.  She always felt that Veronica Murphy’s presence was her biggest threat.

“Eviette.”

The man turned to the side, raised his gaze, and his beautiful eyes fell upon her face. “Perhaps, you have been looking in the wrong direction all along.”

“What do you mean?”

“Your target is Miguel, not her.” Melvin Winson flicked the cigarette butt and brought the cigarette to his mouth, taking a puff. “If Miguel finds out about the conflict between you and her, it will only decrease your likability in Miguel’s eyes.”

He analyzed the current situation logically. Eviette Robins raised her slender, arched eyebrows slightly, and a sarcastic smile curled up on her cherry red lips. “You’ve only been with her for a short time, and you’re already defending her?”

Her voice paused, and she added, “Don’t tell me you’re interested in her.”
