Chapter 294
Emily was so anxious to see that Franklin did not agree. She raised her hand to swear, begged, and kept making promises by saying, "I'll just go and see. I won't say a word to Daniel. Trust me. Take me with you!" Franklin looked at her meaningfully. After seeing that her face turned red from eagerness, he said slowly, "Of course I want to believe you, but you have to know that I'm jealous of you seeing other men. What do you think I should do?"
Emily was stunned and a little confused about Franklin's thoughts. Looking at her dazed look, Franklin felt both angry and amused. It took him a while to whisper in her ear, "Silly, I just want you to please me.” Emily blushed immediately and looked at Franklin in shock. "Why...Why are you like this now?" Emily asked in surprise.
In her eyes, Franklin had always been a serious and reserved person. He didn't have many tricks or dirty words even when they were having sex. What happened to him today? Why did he make her feel so strange? Franklin looked at her amusedly and asked, "What's wrong with me? We're married. Is it wrong for a couple to have some intimate conversations?"
Emily shook her head. Yes, he was right, but this was not like him. Franklin sighed and suddenly held her in his arms. "Emily, do you sometimes think I'm too conservative and boring?"
Emily was stunned and immediately shook her head.
She thought he was good enough. He was in no way conservative and boring. Where did those words come from?
"Honey, tell me. Did anybody tell you anything? Why did you say that all of a sudden?” Emily was even more certain that he must have heard someone saying things like that.
Sure enough, Franklin's face turned grim and he coughed once awkwardly before telling her what happened today.
It turned out that Franklin was going to come back after leaving Aaron's company, but the hospital called him and said that Andrew had woken up.
That day, he had Andrew beaten up, so hard that caused him to be sent straight to the hospital. Andrew had been in a coma for a day before he woke up.
If this was an ordinary person, Franklin would like to make him disappear.
But it was Andrew. The Sachs Family was also a distinguished family. Franklin had to take that into consideration.
So he had asked someone to send Andrew to the hospital and told the hospital to call him as soon as Andrew woke up.
Now that Andrew was awake, Franklin asked Mickey to drive him to the hospital to check up on Andrew. He wanted to teach him a lesson, but he didn't want to go too far.
But when she saw Andrew at the hospital, Franklin could not help but twitch the corner of his lips, complaining in his heart that his men were too unprofessional.
He had asked them to hit Andrew on his body and told them that they could hit as hard as they wanted as long as he didn't die. Why did those idiots hit Andrew in the face? Looking at Andrew's swollen face, Franklin was angry yet amused, so he remained poker-faced.
Of course, his expressionless face was even more hateful in Andrew's eyes.
Andrew spluttered and cursed, "Franklin, you have the cheek to come and see me? You bastard, look at what you have done to me. Do you think this is over? I'm telling you, I've already taken photos and sent them to my family. Even if I agree to let you go, the Sachs Family won't let you go."
Franklin couldn't help but laugh. He looked at Andrew and said playfully, "I can see Mr. Sachs is really exasperated. You are already in your thirties, and yet you are still relying on your elders to seek justice. Well, I'm waiting for your Sachs Family's elders to come to me. I would like to ask them who was discredited, me or the Sachs Family, whose member was beaten up because he had detained other's wife.” Andrew was so angry and he felt it unbearable to look at his own face in the mirror. When he saw Franklin coming over again, he just snapped and couldn't help but curse Franklin, not caring what he was scolding, just wanting to take it all out.
Now that he had been retorted by Franklin, he felt even more humiliated. Fortunately, his face was so swollen that his expression and face red from anger could not be seen clearly.
Franklin, on the other hand, didn't think it was fun to bully an already wretched man, so he softened his tone and said, "Andrew, I told you a long time ago that I don't want to be your enemy, so don't provoke me again. But you do this again and again. Do you really think I would let others bully me?"
"Hmph, Franklin, are you here to give in to me?" Andrew snorted coldly. Franklin said, "Not really. Although I'm angry with you about this, I'm more or less grateful to you because I get to find my son. But I will tell you for the last time, if you dare to harass Emily again in the future, don't blame me for being unkind.”
"Why right do you have to be unkind to me?" Andrew mumbled, "Franklin, look at your poker face. You keep a poker face every day as someone died in your family. If it weren't for a comedy of errors, you wouldn't be with Emily first. Do you think Emily would choose you then? You're just rich and powerful. There are a bunch of other men like this. Besides, your appearance is not bad, but as time passed by, women will get used to it and won't be fascinated by it. As to your temper and personality, you look sexless and I am sure Emily will dump you sooner or later.”
Franklin, "..."
Franklin thought he was kind enough to come and see if this man had been beaten to death, but was infuriated by him.
"Good, very good." Franklin sneered.
He turned around and left angrily. Just as he was leaving, Andrew's attending doctor came over. Franklin said coldly to the man, "Mr. Sachs is not in a hurry to get out of the hospital. Cut half of the medicine and make sure he recovers slowly. Don't let him get better so soon.”
The doctor was stunned and looked at him in a daze.
But Franklin didn't care what he thought. He had already left with his men. One of his bodyguards stayed to deal with the doctor for what Franklin had arranged for Andrew.
Franklin was about to explode with anger, especially when Andrew mocked him for being sexless. When he got home, he saw Emily and Lisa crying together, which led to what was happening now.
Now that Emily had forced him to tell her, Franklin told her with a grim face.
Emily was embarrassed. She had never thought about it.
But seeing how angry Franklin was, she comforted him, "Don't be angry. Andrew has never said anything nice. Ignore his nonsense.” "Emily, do you also think I'm boring and not flirtatious?" Franklin suddenly asked faintly.
Emily was embarrassed and only said awkwardly after a long time, "Don't think so much. Don't worry, I won't dislike you just because you're not flirtatious.”
Franklin, "..."
It was better for her not to say it. It was an admission in disguise.
