Kieran’s POV ~

I am livid. Just looking at those boys.. anyone would know! They are miniature versions of me!! She kept my sons away from me! Hid them away for two years! How dare she! She wants to play games with our lives, she’s going to find that I am better at it!

Once everyone was situated around the training circle.. Alec leaned down to one of the twins “Derek, you see the man sitting behind you and Darius? Why don’t you tell him what you know about your daddy.”

He turned his little body backwards in the chair. His tiny legs sticking out the hole and says “I’m Derek.. and that’s my brother.. Darius.” I smiled and told him “I am very pleased to meet you! My name is Kieran.. and I am Alpha to the pack on your eastern borders.. the White Satin Pack. You heard of it?”

He just shrugs his little shoulders.. like he’s not impressed, at all.. before Darius asks “Why you ask about our Daddy? You know him? We don’t haven’t saw him yet.” I feel anger rush through me again.. even while Onyx is just purring in my head! I reply “I might know him… would you mind telling me about him?”

Derek responds immediately.. with a bit of attitude “Our Daddy loves us very much! Mommy says so! She said he is just real busy being an Alpha. He is the strongest and meanest Alpha in the world. Everyone should be afraid of him. He is brave and kind. Mommy said when we get to meet him, he will show us how much we mean to him. And she told us soon! Soon we get to see him and we aren’t bastids no more!”

Alec looks over his shoulder and says “You thought she wouldn’t tell them about their dad? That regardless of how she had been treated by him, she extols his virtues to her sons? You hurt her.. badly! So much that she left her home.. went through a pregnancy, alone!! At sixfuckingteen! Yet, she makes sure her boys know their daddy is a great man! You underestimate her at every turn, Kieran. I fear you will regret it!”

We all turned our eyes to the circle, as Calista entered. She was wearing yoga pants and a sports bra.. and her beauty alone caused my heart to skip beats. She is confident.. joking with Cole over beside the circle. She laughed at something he said, and a sharp pang of jealousy ripped through me. The fuck was that, Onyx? He growls in my head 🐺 That should be us.. making her smile like that! You better hope you can fix this mess you created! I am not joking when I say I will refuse to transform! 🐺 I don’t even know where to begin. 🐺 By getting rid of that slug you are fucking! That’s something else altogether. If you ever try to mark anyone other than Lenore and Calista, I will kill them! 🐺 Onyx! Why have you never said anything before? 🐺 I just always hoped you’d stop wearing your ass for a hat! Apparently, my expectations were too high!

The Phoebe woman stepped into the circle and smirked “Ready to have your ass handed to you, healer?” And Calista laughed “Ooohh! Trash talking! How fun! Tell you what! If you can land one.. only one.. hit.. I will concede my title! It’s a thankless, never ending job that takes entirely too much of my precious time.” Then she looks out over the pack and grins “I’m just joking.. I love all of you. I just thought this bish needed some incentive!” They all laughed with her. This pack really loves her!

The woman charged at her, Calista leaped in the air and somersaulted over Phoebe’s head. She landed in a squat and swung her leg out.. sweeping Phoebe’s feet from underneath her. Then she pounced.. punching Phoebe in the face.. splitting her lip.

Backing away, Calista waited until Phoebe was back on her feet. Dancing around her, she started taunting “One hit.. that’s all you gotta land.. then you get to be acting Luna and I get a vacation. I’m excited about it. Come on! Give me all you got!” When Phoebe swung again, Calista spun a 180 and flipped her over her back… punching her in the sternum, as she landed. Again, she backed away.. allowing Phoebe to catch her breath and find her feet.

Phoebe charged the third time and I caught a gleam of light off the woman’s hand. I started up out of my chair, just as Calista caught Phoebe’s wrist.. snapping it.. she punched her in the temple and Phoebe fell to the ground unconscious. Calista growled “Take her to the fucking cells! Her punishment will be decided later! Warren, your mate is not only a bully! She’s a cheater! I specifically said No Weapons! She wanted to stab me with a silver knife!”

He hung his head “I apologize Luna. I have no idea what she’s thinking! I am sorry and I will take her in hand!” Calista laid her hand on his shoulder “Warren, we can’t apologize for the actions of another person. Her decision to cheat is her own. However, I recommend you place Toby in our antibullying classes immediately.. and limit the time he spends with his mother.”

Three women stepped away from the crowd, and one yelled “Under whose authority do you think to deprive a child of his mother’s love?” Calista laughed and asked “Ahh! Phoebe’s entourage, I presume? Well, ladies.. and I use that term loosely..I am depriving Toby of the hate.. the deceit.. the lies.. he is being taught by his mother! I see no love being taught there! As for you three.. take heed! This pack will NOT tolerate the kind of negativity that has been exhibited!”

The woman shrieks “You show up here.. with your bastards and think to tell us how to raise our children? Why should we listen to you? You obviously have no mate.. fucked some rando.. then act like we are the immoral ones! That’s rich!”

Alec roared “That’s enough! How fucking dare you! Where were you raised that you are allowed to speak to any member of the Alpha family with such disrespect!? My sister has a mate! Her children are the sons of that mate! That is ALL you need to know! Anymore speculation about her personal life will see you banished!”

Cole walked up to Axel and me “Eventful afternoon, right!?” He chuckles, as both boys leap from their chairs at him, yelling “Unca Cole!” And I snarled “You Knew!??” He shrugs and smiles at the boys in his arms “Yep! Since yesterday!” And I am pissed.. all over again
