Guardian-In-Law by Five Generals

Chapter 1186

Chapter 1186 Darcy Is a Member

Lawson did not hold back in criticizing Kaze.

As he counted Kaze's misdeeds, the pressure on Darcy's shoulder grew heavier.

She bowed apologetically and said, "Mr. President, I'm sorry that Kaze's actions hurt the guild's reputation. I am truly sorry about that."

Yuri did not reply.

Lawson continued, "Ms. Quint, apologizing to us doesn't make up for the mistakes. The Lee Investment has released a statement, demanding your husband's apology.

"But since your husband is disrespectful. He declined the request we made through Red Star Charity. We contacted Shangrila Group but we didn't get an answer. He really thinks he's above us.

"We can't do anything to him since he's not a guild member but you are different, Ms. Quint. You are a member of Lilyrose Commerce Guild. Shouldn't you be his role model and shoulder the responsibility?

Darcy did not try to argue this time because she was indeed a member of the guild.

They got to her a while ago and invited her to join.

Darcy did not think much back then. Since she was in the business world, it was inevitable for her to join all kinds of bigger organizations for better opportunities and connections.

However, the moment she signed the contract, it allowed the guild to have an excuse to order her around.

"What does the guild want me to do?" Darcy asked.

Lawson said, "It's simple. Ask your husband to apologize to Lil Dee."

Darcy glanced at Yuri but the man did not say a word.

His poker face shielded his true thoughts from Darcy.

*Ms. Quint, stop being hesitant about it. Can you do it, or not?" Lawson said condescendingly, trying to force Darcy into submission.

He was actually delighted.

Lilyrose Commerce Guild was never relevant. Being an executive of the guild did not grant Lawson any power either.

Now, he could use his identity to force Darcy, a beautiful and famous chairwoman, into submission. The sense of achievement aroused him.

It was a good cop, bad cop situation; Lawson being the bad cop, and Yuri the good cop.

Darcy said, "Mr. President, Mr. Locker, I'm sorry but I cannot give you an immediate answer. I don't know what really happened and it's too soon to jump to conclusions. I believe Kaze won't raise his fist without solid reasons. I cannot ask him to apologize now."

Her previous experience taught her that apologizing is an admission of fault.

Once Kaze apologized following an accusation, it would stick with him for life.

Words could be as sharp as swords, killing one secretly.

The pressure from the people could crush Darcy and her family easily.

Upon hearing her reply, not only Lawson's expression turned grim, but even Yuri furrowed his brows.

"Ms. Quint, this is slowly getting out of hand and you are still wondering who did wrong? Apologizing to solve the

problem is our priority. What is so hard about that?" Yuri said with strong dissatisfaction. Samson called him earlier, requesting him to pressure Darcy into making Kaze apologize. He knew this would be a chance to gain Samson's favor, so he confidently agreed. Now that Darcy refused, he might not be able to provide a satisfying answer to Samson.
