Chapter From 15
Chapter 15
Josh didn’t say anything, so Martin dared not to take any action.
At the cafe entrance, Brian approached Natalie and Elizabeth. “Why are you here?” Elizabeth demanded with a scowl.
Ignoring Elizabeths. Brian focused on Natalie and spoke with a forerful voice, “Nat, I’ve been searching for you. Come back with me.” He’d just learned she was here and had rushed to the cafe, arriving out of breath
Natalie looked up and smiled. “Who are you to buit into my life?”
Brian’s lips tightened, and his hands clenched. “Nat, even though we aren’t getting married, I swear Ill always love and take care of you,” he said.
With an icy stare, Natalie retorted, “What, am I supposed to be your mistress?”
Brian wanted to say something but fimally fell into silence.
Suddenly, Natalie slapped him hard. “I’m married, Mr. Sherman. Leave me alone, de I’ll call the cops for harassment,” she said flatly. Brushing past Brian, she walked away
In that instant, Brian noticed the love bite on her neck. His eyes widened, a surge of rage and jealousy flashing in them. He reached out, aiming to grab Natalie’s arm, but Elizabeth blocked him.
“Natalie has left you? Stop humiliating yourself and her. You could shame the Sherman family if you’re seen, Elizabeth snapped. Elizabeth then left with Natalie.
Brian watched, feeling helpless as Natalie walked our of his life. He felt like he’d lost her forever as she got into a car and it drove off. ‘No, I can’t let her go he thought, gaining back his calm. Brian jumped into his car and followed Natalie’s.
Looking at the scene, Martin asked Josh, “Mr. President.”
“Follow them.” Josh commanded.
The three cars were spending down the main road. Trying to catch Natalie. Brian pushed his car to the limit. They raced through downtown and ended up in a secluded suburb. Suddenly, Josh signaled Martin with a nod.
Manin understood Josh’s intent instantly. The Lincoln rammed forcefully into Brian’s car, which immediately lost power, and bath vehicles
screeched to a halt.
Brian’s car was wrecked. But the Lincoln appeared almost untouched.
Stone–faced, Brian stepped out and saw Josh exiting his car. “It’s your Brian’s eyes blazed with anger!
“I apologize, Mr. Sherman Jush said, his expression cool and detached. “I will cover the damages,” he added.
Brian demanded, his voice sharp, “Has Natalie been with you these days?”
“That’s right” replied Josh with a smile.
Recalling the hickey, Brian’s hands balled into fists, his veins standing out, he looked ready to throw a punch at josh.
But Martin was quick to intercede, grabbing Brian’s arm. Martin, the president’s chief secretary, was highly trained and thus easily restrained Brian
“Why? Why would you do this to her? You jerk! I’ll kill your Brian yelled
Josh roolly stated, “Because she’s my wife. I have every right to
“That’s a lie! She couldn’t have married you just like that!” Brian retorted.
“It’s true, even if you don’t believe it.” Josh gave a cold smirk and warned, “If you dare to go after my wife, expect no mercy from me.” With that, Josh turned to leave.
Held back by Martin, Brian roared after Josh’s departing figure, “Let me go! How about facing me fairly? Let go
Josh hesitated as he was about to get into the car, then glanced sideways at Brian. His expression was one of undisguised disdain. He sneered with emphasis, “You’re not worth my time.”
