Chapter ALAZAR - Dropping the Ruse
Riaura was peering at the knights training the next morning, from behind the stone wall near the Gaming Ground.
The remnants of the old Weapon Shack.
She was standing on a large boulder to stand tiptoe and reach just her eyes and nose over the wall.
But it hadn’t taken me long to spot her.
She wanted to sneak up on me, did she? He assessed the perfect frame of her narrow shoulders draped in a yellow sundress. Trimming down to her narrow waist and then flaring into those hips which so perfectly fit into his palms. And the rounded buttocks which beckoned a firm squeeze.
All of her is tantalizing.
Creeping up behind her he gripped her upper arms and found her the perfect height for him to whisper into the base of her hairline. “I know who you are…When you’re not busy playing Queen.”
She tried to turn but his iron grip on her arms kept her from moving.
He lightly pushed her more firmly against the stone wall.
Forcing her to turn her face to the side.
Looking behind him, he verified there were no other buildings and no one that could see the simple knight fondling their queen.
He slid his hands up her shoulders to the straps of her dress and lowered them over her arms. Exposing her upper chest to the morning breeze, but not exposing her. He pressed a kiss to one shoulder. Then the other.
She moaned in pleasure. Not stopping him.
“You’ve called me out on my charade.” He charged as he kissed up her shoulder and along the back of her neck. “Now I no longer have any reason to hide that I’m here. All the time…Watching over you.”
“How long?” She asked.
“Years.”
Tapping into her thoughts he saw himself through her mind’s eye. Shifting in the corner next to the fireplace when Marod or Danbury was cruel to her. When she emerged from her chamber she found him next to the door. Following a respectful distance behind her to ensure she was safe. A knight haunting her steps. She’d thought there were many.
She knows now.
“They were all you…” She murmured.
“I wasn’t going to let anyone hurt you ever again.”
“Why did you hide it?”
“You’d have thought I did it to snoop on you, to control your movements.”
“You never did either of those.” She admitted.
“No.”
I just kept you safe.
“But now you know I’m here.” His tone lowered dangerously. “And you’re no longer safe from me in these walls.”
“What do you mean?” She was breathing faster.
Not fear. Excitement. He’d known her long enough to tell the difference.
“I’m free to seduce you every time an eye isn’t on you or me.”
“I don’t think the Commander would appreciate one of his knights sneaking off to try and lie with the Queen. I’ve heard tales he’s a rigid son-of-a-bitch.” She cautioned.
“He is.” Alazar agreed. “But he lets me do as I wish.”
“I find that unlikely.”
“Believe what you will.” He scooped her cheek near the stone wall to tilt her minutely further so he could join his lips to hers. “Good luck escaping me now…”
