Paul walks into the library…never slowing down, says “follow me” and all the guys get up. He walks to a door you wouldn’t see, if you didn’t know it was there! Paul placed his palm on a keypad and the door swung inward.

Turning on the lights, Paul told them to sit! He spoke “This is the kingdom archives. Our pack was designated the keepers..by the Moon Goddess, herself! In this room…are centuries of wolves’ history. In here, only the most sacred of secrets are kept. We will program your handprint today, Damien! I believe what you are seeking…you will find, in these tomes. I will tell you this, be careful what you wish for! With that being said…I believe something big is already in motion.. and it involves you and your mate! Start with the tomes on prophecy. See if there is any reference to Lynette’s mark”

After Paul left…Damien sat there, looking at Liam and Blaze. Liam quietly says “He really is grooming us to take over.. in 8 stinking days! Are we ready!? Have we been trained enough?” Damien tells him “Stop it! We are ready! We have trained our entire lives for it! We have already been handling all paperwork for the pack. We know the ins and outs of everything in this pack! We were taking over in August, anyway! It’s only four months sooner..not four years!”

Blaze gets up and starts looking at the book titles.. he mutters “Holy Shit! There’s the history of every pack in the world! This is going to be a long day! I am going to read the history of Luna’s father’s pack first. See where that takes me!” And he lifts down the history of Black River Pack…

Liam starts with The Legends about special wolves. Choosing it because it speaks of hybrids. Damien starts with prophecies…and after 20 minutes or so he looks up “Fuck me! In this book alone..over 2000 prophecies are discussed. And there are eight…count them…eight books in total! This is going to take forever!” Liam asks “Are you sure we can’t ask her mom?” Idiot!

Five hours! They have sat reading for five hours.. Liam had switched over to prophecies with Damien..he had figured out a system with the Legends..and all he had to do was check the pictures. He’d found a couple pictures with a moon and stars but Damien let him know they weren’t right…and once Liam had asked “is it this one?” for the thousandth time…Damien drew a picture of it and Liam said “Dumbass! Could’ve done that to begin with!” Damien shrugs and tells him he had described it and Liam should have paid attention!

Blaze looks up from the book he hasn’t stopped reading…and says “Black River was the shit back in the day! Strongest Alpha..strongest warriors…largest pack. For over 800 years. Damien says “good question” then he says “But I’m not going to cast aspersions on him…Lynette loves him…so any information we find on him…we keep to ourselves until we can prove it! Pull the book on Black Moon…see when Andre’ became Alpha there!” Blaze salutes “Aye Aye Cap’n” and Damien threw a pencil at him…which he promptly put in his mouth!

Lynette links Damien 🐺 Babe? Where are you and the boys? It’s 9 o’clock and you all missed dinner! I brought food to the library because Paul said you were there.. but Nope!” 🐺’ I am so sorry, cuore mio…We will be right out!

They stepped into the room and she squealed! “Is that a secret passageway? A tunnel? Where does it lead? Where did you come from?? I wanna see!” Damien started laughing…and Liam says “Damn girl! You need to slow down on that coffee!” She smirked “Y’all been MIA for 8 hours…translating into me having to get four cups of my own coffee…slacker! So don’t tell me slow down! And don’t change the subject! And what did you call me, Damien? It was sexy!” And Blaze and Liam choked on spit trying not to laugh!

Damien pulls her to him…kissing her lips and he smiles “It means ‘ my heart’ in Italian. And no…that door doesn’t hide a secret passageway…or a tunnel.. It’s just another room…a library, like this one..but that one is the archives of wolf history!” She jumps up and down “Can I see? Can I read our history? I know next to nothing about us..because..well.. Mom’s a witch and she doesn’t really like wolves” He laughed and says “Tomorrow..after school! You can join us and read to your heart’s content! Now…I’m starving..where’s our food, woman!” And he smacked her ass.

They all sat down so the guys could eat..and she was animated about getting set up for school “I got everything set up and all my courses situated..and decided to catch up on what I missed…and before I knew it, I had been sat there for five hours and am already a month ahead of the school in my assignments! How frickin cool am I?” Damien laughed and Blaze tells her “too cool for school “ and she groans “Is this what you have to work with? I’m so sorry, love!” And they all laughed!!

Damien told her “I know it’s getting late…but I need to speak to my dad about something important…I will meet you in the bedroom in a bit?” She nods “I want to find my mom and tell her good night.. then I’m going to soak in a hot bath until I’m a raisin!” And she left to do just that!

Damien looked at Liam and Blaze…and they’re trying not to laugh. He says “Yeah! Laugh it up! That image is now stuck in my brain and I am going to have serious blueballs all week!” And the stopper was pulled as they let it go!

Damien linked Paul..asking to see him and they have been talking for an hour. Paul looked at his son…”You learned quite a bit..your first foray into yesteryears.” Damien shook his head “That was all Blaze! He’s tenacious as a bulldog with a bone when he sets his mind to something. I am inclined to agree with him though. Why didn’t Andre’ mention how big a douche Massimo is? Is he ashamed? Or does he not realize? He hasn’t lived there in twenty years…maybe he really doesn’t know!? I want to…no..I Need to give him the benefit of the doubt…for Lynette’s sake!” His dad nods and tells him he understands
