Chapter 1076 A butterfly clip
The sound was so faint that if Charlotte hadn’t walked close enough, she wouldn’t have been able to hear
it.
Charlotte curiously walked towards the source of the sound, all the way to the door of the flower house.
Just as she was about to go in, she accidentally kicked a stone on the ground, which rolled and made a
crisp sound.
Immediately, a cautious voice came from the flower house: “Who’s there?”
Charlotte held her breath, wide-eyed and motionless.
Enter title...
Soon, a slightly red-eyed young man came out of the flower house.
The young man was extremely handsome, exuding an air of nobility, with a hint of youthful innocence, but
enough to see that he would grow into a very handsome and upright man in the future.
“Who are you?” Seeing that it was just a little girl, the young man’s wariness diminished. He probably
guessed that the little girl should be a relative of one of the guests, and politely asked, “Are you lost with
your parents? I’ll take you to...”
Before he could finish, Charlotte stared into his eyes and suddenly said, “My mom said it’s okay to cry
when you’re sad. If you’re still very sad, you can continue to cry in the flower house.”
Charlotte took the initiative to turn around and even covered her ears with her hands, “I’ll watch at the
door for you. Don’t worry, I definitely won’t eavesdrop.”
Joe, who was originally feeling sad, couldn’t cry anymore when he saw her actions. He shook his head

and reached out to Charlotte, “Thank you. Let me take you to find your parents first.”
Charlotte took a step back, “My parents are saying goodbye to the deceased. I’ve already said goodbye,
so I’ll just wait outside.”
Joe gazed at her for a moment, but ultimately did not insist, “Then do as you wish. I’ll have someone
watch over you later.”
Without waiting for Charlotte to continue refusing, Joe composed himself and walked away.
He was now the only heir of the Smith family, and no matter how sad he was, he had to hide his emotions
in front of others and shareholders.
Watching him leave, Charlotte finally realized that he must be the poor little boy her parents had
mentioned.
She carefully took out the butterfly clip that Judy had put in her bag and placed it on the table.
For some reason, she felt that the little boy would come back here to cry again.
In order to prevent others from mistakenly taking the little butterfly, Charlotte even had someone find
paper and a pen, wrote a note, and quietly left the place.
When Charlotte left, Congreve and Judy happened to be looking for her.
Congreve took out a handkerchief from his pocket and carefully wiped the sweat from Charlotte’s
forehead, “Where did you go? We should leave.”
Congreve and the Smith family were not particularly close, and if it weren’t for a recent business deal, he
wouldn’t have attended such an event.
Charlotte told her parents about what happened in the garden, and kept her promise not to tell her parents

about meeting Joe.
Charlotte didn’t know that it wasn’t until the next day that Joe went back to the flower house and found the
crystal clip. Joe put the clip in his safe.
