Chapter 11
Chapter 11 Meet at the Police Station
Camila guessed that Samson was outside the company, so she hurried to follow Mackenzie.
Sure enough, as soon as Camila went downstairs, there was the sound of Samson and Mackenzie arguing violently.
“Samson!” said Camila as she walked over.
As soon as Samson saw Camila, he pulled Mackenzie and ran.
Camila chased after him for a couple of blocks but still lost him.
Just then, she got a call from Maxwell. He told her to go back immediately.
Camila thought that something had happened to Gideon, so she hurriedly took a taxi back to the Starling’s home.
As soon as she entered the door, she felt that the atmosphere was not right.
Maxwell was sitting on the sofa with a horribly gloomy face.
“What’s wrong? What happened?” Camila asked.
‘Camila, what did you promise me?” Maxwell’s voice was surprisingly cold.
“What did I promise?”
“You promised me that you wouldn’t let Grandpa know about the prenuptial agreement, but now Grandpa not only knows about it, but he’s also refusing to undergo follow–up treatment.”
Maxwell slammed the copy of the prenuptial agreement before Camila. “Please explain this to me.”
Camila sensed the gravity of the matter, but she really didn’t know anything about
- it.
“Grandpa saw this agreement?”

Camila clearly remembered that she had locked the door when she left this morning. How did Raven get in?
Camila quietly saved the video. Raven wouldn’t admit it until there was hard
evidence.
At this time, Camila’s cell phone rang again. It was a call from the police station. They said that they had found the suspect who had rented out her house illegally and asked her to go to the police station.
At 7:30 p.m.
Camila arrived at the police station.
Samson and Mackenzie were there.
Seeing Camila, Samson was very emotional.
“Camila, I really didn’t expect you to be this kind of person. We’ve been dating for at least three years, and you actually called the police to arrest me. You’re so ruthless!”
Samson was getting more and more agitated and reached out to slap Camila.
Camila dodged and looked at Samson incredulously.
She did not expect that a person could be shameless and disgusting to this extent.
Samson was pressed back down by a police officer who angrily rebuked, “What are you doing? You want to beat a woman. Shame on you! This is a police station, not a street for you to cause trouble!”
After that, the police took Camila to a separate room and got a statement.
In the end, after mediation, Camila agreed to settle the matter privately with
Samson.
Samson was willing to refund the tenant 10 thousand dollars, and he wrote a letter of repentance and apologized to Camila in front of the police.
In view of Camila and Samson’s previous relationship, the police exempted Samson from other punishments.
The three left the police station together.

“Camila, stop right there!” Mackenzie called out to Camila as soon as she walked out the door.
“Is there something wrong?”
“Camila, we are old classmates. It’s only a matter of 10 thousand dollars. Did you have to screw Samson over?”
Camila was furious.
“Mackenzie, it’s easy for you to say. My grandmother is lying in the hospital, waiting for the money to save her life, but Samson used this money to buy you a ring. How can you guys be so cruel?”
“Camila, shut up. I paid you rent for so many years. What’s wrong with me getting some interest back?” Samson yelled.
“Bullshit!” Camila was so angry that she was trembling. “It’s true that you’ve paid rent for many years, but how much did you spend a month on going to bars and nightclubs and games?”
“I make several thousand dollars a month, so what’s wrong with me spending some money? It’s you who tricked me into paying rent, and you used my money on your poor family!”
“Samson!” said Camila, already too enraged to speak.
She tricked Samson into paying rent because Samson splashed money and she wanted him to save more money for their future marriage.
Camila sneered.
Her eyes went red.
She felt that she was lucky to see this jerk’s true colors.
“Samson, would you believe me if I said my family had never spent a dime of your money?”
“Stop fooling me! You dated me just because I made a lot of money, didn’t you? After I lost my job, you started to dislike me, nagging me non–stop every day. I’ve

had enough of you for a long time.”
Samson’s face was twisted with anger.

Seeing Samson like this, Camila was heartbroken, not because of his betrayal, but because she felt he was not worthy of her love for several years.
Camila turned around sadly when a car drove over in a hurry.
She was just about to dodge when a huge force suddenly pushed her toward the speeding car.
With a sharp squeak of the brakes, Camila fell in front of the car.
The car stopped just in time as it touched Camila’s body.
Camila was scared half to death.
She looked back and saw Samson pulling Mackenzie away in a panic.
Her heart ached.
“Are you okay?” The driver got out of the car.
The voice was familiar. Camila looked up and saw Dewitt.
