Fight for Me

Chapter Knock on the door

The next day

Erickson smirks, sitting in his self-made throne. Which is really just a single large chair in an empty hall. But he gloats none the less, as he sees his plans finally coming to pass, and quite successfully.

Morik is dead. And he is certain Ruhan is dead as well.

He couldn’t have survived the berserks I had sent when he tried to flee all by himself.

He’s not sure where his sons are, but from whatever attempts they may make in getting an army to go against his would surely be pointless.

For one, they don’t know where I am with all the land I have already taken over so far. Two, they would be in for a surprise when they see that I have the witch council and the vampire queen’s allegiance. Those boys and their wolf warriors would not at all be able to stand against me.

Not to mention, that he has a whole lab full of berserks ranging from all kinds of shifters, and even a few vampires. Their numbers may be few, but they are still deadly. Though, it has become quite bothersome to Erickson to see just how few actually survive the transition.

So many weaklings. I need stronger fighters.

He smirks again.

Then again, I have such a delicious prize waiting for me downstairs. She is sure to give me the strongest of warriors.

But he clenches his jaw and fists from annoyance, as he tends to do whenever he thinks too long of her. He can’t help but feel jealous towards Nicholas, for having been granted such a rare mate. A jealousy he would never admit to.

As the son with the most potential, he had trained Nicholas to be as strong and dangerous as himself. To be his legacy. But Nicholas proved to be far more capable. Better at everything. Better than him.

And yet, he still believes that Nicholas is the only one worthy enough to even dare take his life. So even if Erickson wins or loses, he still believes he will die a warrior’s death, be known as a bringer of change, someone that will never be forgotten. Leaving a legacy.

If only I can get more answers from her about her mother’s experiments, then I would be able to speed up and improve on these toxins. But from what I’ve seen so far, she’s not as big a threat as my ancestors had us believe.

As the last of her kind, I’m sure she doesn’t even know how to use her abilities, other than knowing she can’t die a physical death.

His fingers twitch at his excitement with the violent thoughts going through his mind.

I can rut her as many times as I want, as rough as I want. Even if she dies, she’ll just come back again for me to take her all over again.

He smiles as he cups and rubs the hardness in his pants.

I’m sure I can make her scream enough to even beg to help me with her mother’s work.

But a sudden bang against the large wooden doors gets his attention. He stares at it, wondering if it is someone knocking hard enough to get his attention while he was zoned out.

Another loud pound sounds against the door, as the door handle rattles.

Does this idiot not know how to open a door?

Erickson sits up straight. “Who is it?” He demands in his alpha command.

But the handle continues rattling and the doors finally swing open, with a bleeding man falling through it.

“Alpha.” He rasps, getting a sneer from Erickson. “My king,” the man corrects himself, “we are under attack.” He coughs as he focuses back on the bleeding wound in his stomach.

“What? Who? How!” Erickson asks as he shoots up from his chair and walks to the dying man.

But the man just grunts in pain.

Erickson bends down and grips the man’s hair to make him look up at him. “I said who!-“

He shouts in his face but sees his eyes already falling shut and his slow heartbeat reaching a halt.

Peering out through the open doors, he finally hears it. It’s soft. Far. But definitely the noise of pain, weapons clashing and skin ripping.

Erickson drops the dead man’s head and releases a loud howl, calling all his fighters to the battle that has unexpectedly found itself on his doorstep.
