Chapter Fierce Obsession: Alejandro
“Dario, stop standing on your brother’s face,” I shout at my son as he wrestles with his twin brother while my grandson, Matthias plays at being referee. The three of them are a giant ball of energy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
“These kids wear me out, amigo,” Jax says with a laugh as he walks up behind me, carrying my eight month old granddaughter, Alyssa, in his arms.
She reaches out a chubby hand and grabs at my beard.
“You love it,” I remind him as we watch our boys playing together.
“I sure do, and it’s a damn good job I do too,” he says with a grin and a twinkle in his eye that makes me suspicious.
“Have you knocked my daughter up again, amigo?” I scowl at him.
“I couldn’t possibly tell you that until after the twelve week scan,” he says with a shrug, “which is in two weeks by the way.”
“You…” I’m stopped by the sight of my daughter coming out of the house holding one of the newest additions to our family.
Alana gave birth to two more beautiful boys six weeks ago, Javier and Diego.
“So many babies,” I say as she reaches us instead.
She glares at Jax. “You told him?”
He holds up his free hand in surrender while Alyssa giggles at her mama. “I-I,” he stammers. He can’t lie to her and I like that.
“Relax, mija, I forced it out of him.” I can lie to her though, I’m her father. “And congratulations.” I wrap my arm around her and kiss her cheek.
“Thank you, Papi.”
“Where’s your mama?”
“She’s just dressing Javier, she’ll be right out.”
“Good. I’m starving and I want to barbecue.”
She rolls her eyes and stands beside Jax, who slides his free arm around her waist and kisses the top of her head. He whispers something in her ear that I don’t hear, but that I’m sure I don’t want to know because it makes her blush.
It was hard to accept the two of them for a long time. But I should have known that of all the men in the world, the man I trust more than anyone, would be the right man for my daughter. Her eyes shine with happiness whenever she’s around him. And Jax, well I’ve known him since I was fourteen years old, and I have never seen him so happy either.
I look around the garden and can hardly believe that just six years ago, I lived here alone, thinking that I had it made and that nobody could touch me. It’s only now that I realize I had nothing. Nothing until she came along and filled my life with family and children and love. She is where all this began. She is where I begin and where I end.
I paid her father three million dollars for her hand, and it wasn’t anywhere near enough. But I would sell my soul to make her happy.
As though even the thought of her brings her to me, she walks out of the house cradling a sleeping Javier in her arms. Her eyes meet mine and she smiles. And fuck me if she isn’t still the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life.
I walk over to her, leaving Jax and Lucia holding Alyssa and Diego, and pull my wife into my arms, careful not to crush our son as I seal my lips over hers and kiss her so hard that it makes her moan softly. And that makes my cock twitch so I have to pull back, leaving us both wanting. And that, right there, is the only drawback of having all these kids running around.
“What was that for?” she whispers.
“Just because I can, princesa. Have I ever told you how much I love you?”
“Maybe once or twice,” she says with a soft laugh that I feel in my bones.
I slide my hand to her ass and squeeze and the skin on her neck turns that subtle shade of pink that drives me crazy. So sweet, but so wickedly sinful at the same time. She is perfect in every fucking way.
“I love you too,” she whispers.
I stare into her deep brown eyes, wondering what the hell I ever did to deserve her. I might not be worthy of her, but I would burn the entire world to ash before I ever let her go. And then I tell her the words that I have spoken so often, I hope I have carved them into her heart. “Mi reina. Eres todo para mí.”
My Queen. You are everything to me.
