Feral Wolf

Chapter 19

Brontes fell on the ground again for the tenth time. He closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again. The frustration clearly showed on his face as I beat him repeatedly. I gave him a smile and shrugged my shoulders.

“You might be tiny in size but you fight like a thousand werewolves combined.” He muttered. I couldn’t help the smile that crept on my face. He really did try his hardest in the previous tries we did but he was doing it all wrong.

“You aren’t concentrating enough.” I replied as I helped him up from the ground. I went around him to brush away the dirt from his naked back. “I am catching you doing almost the right thing and then you do it wrong.”

After yesterday’s conversation, Brontes and I agreed that he needed more training. We needed to be prepared as much as possible so that if it came to the point where the worst case scenario happened, we could at least protect what we loved.

I moved around to his front again and raised an eyebrow. “Are you ready?”

He nodded and I attacked him with my leg, swinging it out to his thigh. He blocked it with his hand, pushing my leg back. The minute my foot touched the ground my fist came up for an uppercut. He saw it coming and quickly blocked it again.

“Sneaky.” He muttered.

“Sneaky but you caught it before I could get you.” I replied.

“I did. Go again?” he asked.

Brontes and I fought back and forth for dominance for I don’t know how long but he was progressing. We came up with ways to get out of dangerous fighting tactics. He caught on pretty quickly and pretty soon he had me breathing hard to catch up with him. His size did give him a bigger advantage and he was also using it well. I could tell the way he uses his body weight on me. It took me a little longer to push him off but again I am a werewolf. I had ten times more strength than a human woman.

He chuckled and when I was off guard he quickly placed his arm on the shoulder opposite of me and went behind me, catching me in a headlock. My hands shout out to grab his thigh and yanked on it to make him unbalanced. He fell to the ground, pulling me with him but instead of me falling head first he moved so that I fell on top of him, his hands wrapping around my waist.

“Sorry.” I mumbled and pushed off his chest but he tightened his grip around me. I turned back to look at him.

“Kiss me and I will let you go.” He murmured, his eyes glinting with mischief.

“No.” I said, looking around before trying to get off his chest but he held on tight.

“Kiss me, Calliope.” He demanded. He flipped us over and I was on the bottom, trapped between his legs. He placed his hands on either side of me and bent down to a hairsbreadth from my face.

My heart was beating against my chest. His closeness was making me a little crazy. I couldn’t think straight. He was so close I could see all the tiny details on his face. He actually had really long eyelashes. It didn’t make him look any less manly though. His eyes dropped from mine to my lips.

“Kiss me, Calliope.” He demanded again in a softer voice.

My hands ran up his naked chest to cup his nape. I used that to get rid of the last inch we had to separate us and my mouth was on his. I did what he did when he kissed me. I kissed him hard and when the taste of him touched my tongue I moaned and wrapped my arms around his neck, trapping him into the kiss.

He didn’t seem to mind because he dropped his elbow to the ground and now he fully covered my body. His hand was creeping up my side to breasts as I continued to kiss him. Goddess, he tasted wonderful. The feeling that he stirs in me was beyond my imagination. I had never experienced this feeling before. It only stirred to life when I first laid eyes on his emerald green eyes.

When I broke the kiss, his eyes were glazed with want and hunger. It looked so dangerous it actually turned me on even more.

“Goddess, Calliope, that kiss was-” He bit his lower lip as he thought of a term.

“Bad?” I said, sounding a little defeated.

“No!” He growled out. “It was amazing. There are no words.”

He gave me a grin and then leaned down again, “How about another kiss?”

I pushed him off me and got up, making sure to get the dirt off my butt. His eyes moved to that action and stayed there. When I got done and turned to look at him he groaned and fell back on the dirt to cover his eyes.

“What?” I asked.

“You are going to kill me. I need you Calliope.” He hoarsely spoke out.

“Oh.” It was the only sound I could make.

I was about to say something else but Isis running from the woods towards me caught my attention. I turned my attention to her as she came up to my side.

“We have a problem.” She said breathlessly.

“What is it?” Brontes asked as he stood up to stand next to me.

“Rogues are at the border. They request to speak to you, Callie.” She spoke.

“Send them away or kill them.” I muttered before turning away. She grabbed my arm and I turned back to look at her.

“You need to talk to them.” She said with seriousness in her voice. My head lifted a little as I realized there might be something more than what she was saying. I nodded and turned to Brontes to tell him that I will be back but he shook his head immediately.

“I’m coming with you.”
