“Oh damn!! I forgot you have your ultrasound appointment today! I’ll take you to the hospital… or rather. the mansion’s hospital, since it has all the necessary machines. I don’t want to cause any confusion! We need to hurry up.” He looked at his watch in urgency.

“I can go alone.” She spoke casually.

“I want to come with you and see your baby for the first time. Let’s go!” He looked at her with a warm smile, and for the first time, she saw genuine excitement in his eyes about seeing their baby.

It had taken her several hours to process the fact that she was pregnant, but now that the reality had sunk in, she couldn’t wait to get her first ultrasound.

“Shall we go?” he asked, concern etched on his face. “Do you want to take a cart or walk your way up? I hope you’re not tired.”

The man was being extremely caring, and she appreciated it. Tm absolutely fine,” she replied, shrugging her shoulders. “I don’t have any pregnancy symptoms yet, maybe it’s too early.”

They both loved the cabin and started walking back towards the pond, heading towards the mansion. hirty minutes later, Evan and Ella sat eagerly in the hospital room, waiting for their first glimpse of their tiny human being. Evan held her hand, looking at her reassuringly. “Don’t worry, everything will be alright.” Ella nodded, and they both stood up as the doctor entered.

The doctor, a middle-aged woman with a warm smile, greeted them. “Okay, let’s take a look at your little one.” She gestured to the ultrasound machine. “Please lie down, Ella.”

Ella lay back on the bed, and the doctor applied gel to her belly. Then, she moved the probe around, showing them a blurry image on the screeii.

“That’s your baby’s head, the doctor explained, pointing to a small white circle. “And this tiny thing is the heart, beating away.”

Evan and Ella oohed and ahhed, their eyes fixed on the screen. “Wow, oh my God, it’s so tiny!” Ella exclaimed.

The doctor smiled, explaining warmly, “Yes, at one month, the baby is about the size of a grape. But don’t worry, it will grow quickly”

The doctor smiled, looking at them reassuringly.

“Here, I think it’s waving at us!” Evan exclaimed, pointing to the tiny limbs on the screen, his eyes shining with excitement.

“My God, my baby,” he continued. “He’s such a charmer. He’s so handsome, just like me.”

The doctor chuckled and Ella playfully rolled her eyes. “What do you mean, just like you? I’m also very charming!”

Evan rolled his eyes good-naturedly, focusing on the screen showing the tiny, grape-sized white image. “Not as much as I am,” he teased.

The doctor gave a thumbs-up sign. “Everything looks great. Your baby is healthy and developing normally.

But then her expression turned serious, and she frowned. “Wait, I’ll just have to take a look at something. I see something else.”

Evan and Ella’s faces turned serious, their hearts skipping a beat. “What is it, doctor?” they asked in unison, their voices filled with concern.

It seems there’s another baby in there,” the doctor hesitated.

Evan’s eyes widened in shock. “What? We’re having twins?”

The doctor took a few more moments to confirm, moving the probe around. Then, a bright smile

appeared on her face. “Congratulations are in order again! You both are having twins. I see two babies.” Evan and Ella stared at each other in disbelief, their minds racing with the unexpected twist. “Oh my God! Ella exclaimed. “I wanted one baby, and now I have two. This is the most wonderful surprise you’ve given me.”

Evan’s eyes welled up with tears, and he looked at Ella with so much love. He wanted to hug her and give her a tight kiss, but he hesitated. Tears rolled down his face, and Ella, seeing him, burst into tears of excitement too. They both laughed and cried, overwhelmed with joy and disbelief at the news.

“It means we have to get twice the diapers, Evan said jokingly, wiping away his tears.

The doctor laughed. “Yes, Evan, you’ll get twice the fun and twice the joy!”

“I guess we’ll have to upgrade from a nursery to a nursery stadium,” Ella exclaimed, her eyes shining with

excitement.

They both giggled, their hearts full of joy and love for each other shining brighter than ever. The surprise twist had added an extra layer of joy to their already overflowing happiness, and they just couldn’t stop grinning at each other.

Ella stood up from the machine, and soon they were given a framed photograph of their babies. “Oh my God, 2 babies!” she exclaimed. Though I can’t figure out if it’s a girl or a boy.”

It too soon to tell, the doctor said with a giggle. “But we’ll know in a few weeks.”

“Alright, thank you so much, doctor,” they said in unison, thanking the doctor and turning to leave the hospital room.

But just as they were about to exit, the doctor called out, “Wait, don’t forget…you two can get intimate now. It’s absolutely safe for the babies for at least three months, the doctor said, fulfilling her duty to inform them.

Evan’s eyes widened in shock, while Ella blushed, turning away slightly. “If we make out now, does that mean we can have another baby and make triplets?” Evan asked, gasping in mock horror.

Ella slapped his stomach, laughing. “What are you talking about?”

The doctor couldn’t help but chuckle, looking at the lovely couple. “Maybe you can try it, Evan. It can be medical magic,” she said with a smile. “You two make a wonderful couple, you really should get your married to each other. The way you both look at each other, love is so evident!”

Evan nodded, looking at Ella who blushed again. “But I like to keep my private life a little person.. as per our agreement, you are our personal doctor, so please maintain that privacy.”

The doctor nodded reassuringly, writing down several supplements for Ella. “Of course, I will. Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me.

As they left the hospital room, Evan turned to Ella and whispered, “You know, I think our doctor is enjoying our banter a bit too much.” Ella giggled, rolling her eyes. “Just a bit.”

“But I’m glad we can have sex now,” Evan whispered in her ear. “Besides, I’m very sure you’ve never had sex in your entire life. Am I right? Are you still a virgin?

Ella looked at him in surprise. “How can you say that? I told you I have a boyfriend. Maybe I did have sex with him,” she shrugged.

“You know you didn’t, Evan said with a smirk. “I know you too well. You always wanted to get married and do it after that.”

Ella rolled her eyes, ignoring him, and took the entire report in her hands, walking away. She tried to ignore Evan, but he continued to tease her, whispering naughty things in her ear.

“This is actually medical magic – a virgin mother!” Evan chuckled loudly, teasing Ella.

Ella constantly slapped his arm, trying to shut him up. Stop it, Evan! Shut up and let me go to sleep now.”

She tightly closed her door, wanting to escape the conversation. She took a deep breath, smiled happily, and touched her belly. Feeling a little tired, she lay down on the bed and dozed off to sleep.
