Evil Angels

Chapter 3

Alexandra’s POV

I peeled open my eyes to a small amount of sunlight shining through the cracks of a window.

What happened last night? The last thing I remember I was at a restaurant with my friends.

I am laying on bed and I am not so sure how I ended up here. I sat up running a hand through my hair but instead of just hair my hand met something else. I slowly ran my hand up feeling two smooth horns. I then felt something heavy on my back and looking to find two huge, leathery wings. I screamed out, jumping off the bed but falling backwards onto the ground due to my newly acquired wings.

What the hell?! What happened to me?!

“Oh my dear fledgling, I am sorry I wasn’t here right when you woke up,” A voice came from the doorway of the room I was in. My eyes found the owner of the voice to be a tall man dressed in a black suit. His dark hair was neatly combed on his head showing off his pointed ears. His black eyes stared down at me.

I scooted across the floor trying to get away from his sharp gaze until I hit the wall, keeping me in place.

Shit, how am I going to get out of here?! Where am I?!

The man softened his gaze, “Oh please, don’t be afraid. My name is Larus. I mean you no harm and I know you must be confused but I will explain… We should probably get you cleaned up too.”

Larus. That is an interesting name.

Wait… his voice seems so familiar…

I thought about the sound of his voice trying to place where I have heard it.

Welcome back to the land of the living Alexandra.

Last night! He was with me last night but I can’t even remember what happened.

Larus let out a sigh, “You are not going to ever remember everything that happened last night and it is better that way.”

I glanced up at him, “Did you just read my mind?”

He stepped closer to me, extending a hand towards me, “Yes, just please. Let’s get you cleaned up and I will explain.”

I stared at his hand for a minute then took it which Larus instantly pulled me up next to him, “I will have to help you walk since you aren’t used to your wings yet.”

I simply nodded as he walked me out of the room and down a hall into a bathroom, “Alright, you can use the shower and anything else you find in here. I will be just outside when you are done.”

Larus closed the door behind him and left me alone. I turned looking into the mirror.

My blonde hair was now changed to long pitch black hair. My once green eyes have now become a deep red color. I now had two black horns on my head along with the wings on my back. My ears were now pointed like Larus’. On top of all that, I had a long black tail that I had no idea how to control so it just fell to the ground.

Great.

I felt wobbly again and tried to move my wings to help keep balance but I just ended up on the ground again.

Even better. I don’t know how to use my newly acquired body parts.

I used my hands that had long, black nails like claws to pick myself up. I gently undressed myself to shower so I wouldn’t fall down again. It was actually a little easier once I got the hang of it. After my shower, I got dressed into some clothes I found in the drawers and started to search for a toothbrush. Once I found it, I opened my mouth but saw razor sharp pointed teeth instead of my usual ones.

I am not really surprised.

I looked closer then realized there were a few red pinkish stains on them.

Is that blood?!

I panicked and stepped back, only to lose my balance again and fall to the ground. I landed on top of one of my wings sending an unpleasant shock to the whole right side of my body. I gritted my teeth together hissing in pain.

Jesus…. This really hurts. Why can’t I move my right side?

The door shot open revealing a very worried Larus except this time he too had horns, wings, and a tail. He let out a breath, “Oh no, I am so sorry. I shouldn’t have left you alone. I knew that you can’t control your wings yet.”

He knelt next to me, gently lifting me off the ground, causing even more pain to shoot through my right side. I bit my lip to not scream in pain.

Larus shook his head, “You twisted your wing. I can help you heal though. Let’s get you back to your room for now.”

He lifted me into his arms and carried me back to the bed I woke up on. He stood back up when I was laid down and I watched his body morph back into the form I first saw him in, “You need sleep Alexandra. I will see you when you wake up again.”

He turned to leave but I stopped him, “No! At least tell me what the hell is wrong with me? Why am I like this now?! I was just a normal human. What happened last night? Am I in a dream or something?”

He laughed and sat down on the bed next to me, “There isn’t anything wrong with you, my dear Alexandra… I turned you into an evil angel.”
