Dream Partners: New Dimensions (Book 3)

As another day of school started, Victoria sat at her desk counting the time until recess but was disturbed by a disgruntled Lila. Victoria smiled and said, " what's up?" And Lila frowned and said "you've been ignoring me for two weeks to hang with that boy you just met" and Victoria said, "I offered you chances to talk and work with us". Lila said "what and be a third wheel to you and your boyfriend" and Victoria said "he's not my boyfriend, we're just good friends who have something in common okay" and Lila said, "what do you have in common with him that you don't have with me". Victoria sighed and whispered "I and him have freaky powers that pop up when we're near so please keep it quiet or government people will come take us and you too for knowing about us. Lila giggled and said "just admit you like him" and Victoria sighed before looking around and firing a tiny beam of energy out her eyes and through the open window.

Lila's mouth opened wide and said "okay I believe you...I guess we can work something out after today". Victoria smiled and gave her best friend a hug before finally working together on the assignment and quietly discussing more things about her powers, unaware that in a few hours she would be in a world of trouble... Literally. When recess finally came, Victoria and Carlos hung out under the tree but this time, there was tension between the two and she could feel it. Victoria spoke up and said, "what's wrong Carlos? You're acting odd". Carlos says "I'm fine" and Victoria says "is it because the other children are teasing you about me? Or is it because you like me?". Carlos was caught off guard because shit hit the nail right on the head and he was too shocked to say anything ". Victoria giggled and said, "I'll take that as a yes and  I wanna say it's ok because I like you too Carlos...you're pretty and caring and funny". Before Carlos could think, he walked over and gave Victoria a peck on the cheek, before she closed her eyes and gave him a peck on the lips.

Carlos was instantly thrown a few feet as Victoria levitated, purple streaks ran up her arms and she became engulfed in a vortex of purple energy. The teachers immediately sprung into action, gathering the kids up and ushering them into the school hallways as if it were a real tornado. Carlos tried to stay and make sure Victoria was okay but a teacher grabbed him and shoved him into the school building as news reporters and helicopters filmed the mysterious vortex. Meanwhile, Andrea and Jay fell to their knees as their purple heart-shaped patches began to glow rapidly. Jay got to his feet and gasped before saying" Victoria as he could now feel her daughter's panic coursing through his mind but when he accessed her mind all he could see around her was a vortex of purple energy. He tried to teleport to her but his powers shorted out so he sent his workers home early before teleporting from the stairwell to home.

The vortex began to dissipate until it was gone and Victoria was nowhere to be found. After transporting home, Jay ran to Andrea and said "did it happen to you too?" And she nodded and said "yes" and jay said, "after I fell, I could feel Victoria's emotions. They were panic and fear and when I looked through her eyes, she was in that purple vortex and I tried to transport her honey but my powers shorted out". Jay fell to his knees crying and Andrea held him tight until her phone rang. The principal of Andrea's school said: "hello Mrs. Mendoza...I have some bad news for you ma'am and I don't quite know how to say it but I'll try". Andrea said "is my baby okay? And the principal said "your daughter is the only student missing after a purple tornado formed in the Schoolyard today...one boy said she was engulfed by this vortex and when it dissipated she was nowhere to be found, I'm sorry Mrs. Mendoza... I've notified the police and they are conducting a search for the body".

Andrea threw her phone and said "Victoria caused that vortex and she disappeared in it..b- but I don't understand how, she can't have powers like us, it's impossible, we're the only two with the fragments and it hasn't been another century". Jay stopped sobbing and said "we need to call our old friends back and figure this out... Maldor would know how to handle this". Andrea agreed but before they could summon them, Maldor, Maya, Ariel, and Aula all showed up in front of them. Maldor said "I'm here because of what just happened to your daughter...it is indeed too soon for this to be happening but it happened". Andrea said "but why?" and Maldor simply said "recreating the universe from scratch can have its side effects". Andrea grunted and said, "could you maybe explain in more detail before my foot explains how it got up your ass...this is my daughter we're talking about!".
