Dream Partners: New Dimensions (Book 3)

The next morning, Andrea and Jay woke up smiling at each other before leaning in for another passionate kiss. Afterward, Jay went downstairs and cooked breakfast for him and his wife before sitting down to have a discussion about today's events. After serving their plates, Jay sat down looking kinda bummed, while Andrea tore into her biscuits and gravy. When she finished, she looked over at Jay who hadn't touched his plate, and said "what's wrong hun?" and he sighed and said, "this is a lot to take in...I don't know how to deal with this whole Victoria powers thing". Andrea nodded and said, "yea it is pretty weird but speak your mind to me and we'll figure out where to go from here". Jay smiled and said "I feel like I'm robbing her of her individuality if& she will resent us if I have her powers taken away and If I leave them I feel like she could severely hurt herself and will have the childhood of an outcast...I just wish I could combine our two options like we proposed 2 weeks ago".

Andrea smiled and said "perhaps there is a way to do that" and Jay said, "how?". Andrea smiled and said, "We'll remove the dangerous powers and leave the lower-level ones but as for the future partners thing, we can suppress that since they are way too young". Jay smiled and said, "we'll give them the talk though right? and Andrea said, of course, now let's get dressed and go". After getting dressed, they headed over to her mother's house and sat down on the couch across from the Diaz family. Andrea smiled as a flash of light illuminated the room before Maya, Maldor, Ariel, and Aula appeared. Maya smiled and said "have both parties made their final decisions?  and Carlos's parents nodded and Andrea and Jay nodded. Andrea stood up and said "me and jay want to propose a compromise to you" and Maya said "go ahead". Andrea said "is there a way we can limit their powers? I don't want her to grow up and resent me for taking away what could be an amazing friendship & life for her...I want her to grow up and embrace herself and her powers".

Maya looked over at Carlos's parents and they smiled and nodded. Maldor smiled and said, "very well but they're going to have to manifest their full powers in order for us to see what we're working with...which means they will have to go with us". Andrea said "fine but I'm going with my daughter" and Mr. Diaz said, "I'm going with Carlos". Andrea said "can I have the rest of the day to talk to my daughter...I need to prepare her for this" and Maya said "of course, we'll be back tomorrow morning" before she snapped her fingers and they disappeared. Andrea walked upstairs into the guest room where Victoria and Carlos were watching star vs the forces of evil and sat down in the chair. Andrea said, "Carlos your dad needs you... Victoria sweetie we need to talk but you're not in trouble okay". She smiled and said "okay " as Jay walked into the room and sat on the bed and looked at Andrea, who looked at him.

Andrea sighed and said, "sweetie you're not an alien and we're not gonna turn you in...see we haven't been fully truthful with you". Jay smiled and said "sweetie, we have powers just like you" and Victoria smiled and said "really?" and they nodded. Andrea took a deep breath before snapping her fingers causing a pizza to appear, and jay zapped it with lasers from his eyes which heated it up more. Jay then took one hand and lifted up the bed, snapped his fingers, and disappeared with it and when he came back he had the bed which now had a bunch of unicorn plushies on it". He sat it down and said "for you my princess" before she smiled, ran into his arms and gave him a big hug. Victoria said "I don't understand, why didn't you guys tell me?" and Andrea said, "we wanted you to have a normal life...with these powers come great responsibility... that's why don't use them all willy nilly".

Jay smiled and said, "you'll be just like us in the future, you'll have these powers, but no one can know about them or you'll be hunted".Victoria clapped her hands and said yay those powers are awesome!...so I get all of those? and jay said "yes, but you will have half and Carlos will have the other half". Andrea spoke up and said, "which brings me to your friend Carlos...sweetie I know you're beginning to like boys but be careful... boys can be dangerous but not all of them are, don't let any boy touch you down there or up here". Jay frowned and said, "if they do, you come tell me and I'll vaporize them...but sweetie please dial down the kissing and don't just let anyone kiss you and don't go just kissing anyone sweetie".

Victoria smiled and said "so me and Carlos can be together? and jay sighed and said "in school only and maybe on the weekdays, no kissing...but that's entirely up to his parents". Victoria smiled and said "yay!" to hide the fact that she had a secondary plan in case his parents said no. After talking to Victoria, Andrea and Jay had quickly left the room and headed out back before bursting into laughter. Andrea giggled and said "oh my god that was so awkward" and Jay laughed and said "I know right...but we did it, we parented" before giving each other a big high-five.
