Chapter 6
Chapter 6
“Timothy, you are a ruthless beast! I curse you! You’ll go to hell!”
Shocked by my fierceness, Timothy froze.
“Bang!“I felt pain in my cheek. Mia had already walked up to me and slapped me a few times in anger. “Don’t say that about Timothy!”
Suddenly, Timothy’s secretary came running over. He glanced at me quickly and pulled Timothy aside, still gasping.
“Mr. Gage. Ms. Joe’s grandfather passed away on the night of your wedding.”
Under Timothy’s shocked eyes, the secretary lowered his head and continued speaking,
“The grave that Ms. Adrian has chosen belongs to Ms. Joe’s grandfather!”
“What? Could it be a mistake?”
Timothy asked in disbelief.
“It’s true, Mr. Gage! This is Mr. Joe’s death certificate and a copy of the cemetery contract. I just got it!” Timothy tightened his grip but still reached out to take the papers.
It seemed like he had spent years reading those pages.
He finally dropped his hands helplessly and squatted in front of me, feeling guilty.
I was still trying my best to collect the ashes on the ground. Tears welled up in my eyes, and I kept apologizing to my grandpa in my heart.
“Evie, I’m sorry. I didn’t know this…”
Timothy reached out his hand, trying to help me, but I pushed him away.
“Go away! You don’t get to do it!”
I managed to collect all the ashes from the ground and put them into the urn.
I held the urn tightly and glared at him.
“Timothy. My grandpa and I have treated you well. Why are you doing this to us?
“Not only did you cause my grandpa to die, you also destroyed his grave and dumped his ashes. You will be punished!”
