Chapter 7
Luca placed the lunch box he brought on the dining table.
“You are too weak to be discharged from the hospital yet. Eat something first.”
I looked at him, apologetically, “I’m sorry for getting you into trouble. Will this affect your work?”
I knew Jason.
If he uses his power,
Luca might be in danger.
Unexpectedly, he didn’t care at all and put the spoon in front of me, “I’m fine, the hospital is owned by my family.”
I was stunned.
He smiled brightly, “You don’t know?”
For two years, I have been focusing on my children.
I didn’t notice him at all.
I asked him, “Did you save me?”
He nodded, “When I saw you before, I found that you were in a very bad state.”
He was talking about meeting me when I was moving house.
We then discovered that we were in the same neighborhood.
I sincerely thanked him, “Thank you.”
Not only for saving my life but also for taking care of the children. “You really want to thank me?”
I nodded firmly, and he said, “Then drink all the soup.”
It was my favorite pumpkin soup when I was a child.
Luca talked to me for a while before going back to work.
I chose to leave the hospital.
It was already late at night when I got home.
At the door, there was a faint light.
There was someone at my door, I was alert, “Who is it?”
The lights in the corridor came on.
It turned out to be Jason.
He strode forward and pulled me into his arms despite my struggles.
Maybe it’s because I’ve lost too much weight recently, when he held me in his arms, he frowned.

“Why are you so thin?”
I pushed him hard, but I didn’t have much strength, “Let me go. You should hold Willow, I suppose! What are you looking for me for?”
Instead of letting go, he hugged me even tighter. I could smell the scent of cigarettes mixed with the scent of roses on him.
It was so disgusting that I wanted to vomit.
He snorted, “What? Are you jealous?”
Jealous…
Did he think so?
That’s ridiculous.
“Let me go! Or I’ll call the police.”
