Chapter 4 Game On
Viola felt that if the man was not an impostor, Steven, as a member of the Chambers family, would only come to disgust her and would not agree to her request.
If this man ganged up with Eric to set her up, she would let Eric regret it!
But the next second, Steven, with his thin lips curled, answered without hesitation, "Ok."
Everybody was surprised.
"Uncle Steven! Are you crazy! You are a member of the Chambers family! Your father thinks you are useless and now you work with an outsider to destroy my engagement! It will be disgrace to your father!" Eric spoke anxiously, showing no respect to this powerless uncle.
Steven was unimpressed.
From beginning to end, he only stared at Viola.
Viola was still angry with a sullen face, though she had watched a "good show".
All kinds of signs showed that the man in front of her was indeed the "ugly" Steven.
But if he was Steven, why did he help her, an outsider, to destroy the engagement?
In addition, Steven seemed to be determined to support her...
She could not figure out why, she decided to smash the scene first.
She took a deep breath, with the cold light in her eyes, and yelled, "Smash it!"
A dozen strong men immediately stepped forward, kicked chairs and tables, and smashed everything they could. The engagement was in a mess like it had been through a hurricane.
Seeing that, the guests immediately fled away screaming. Before long, only a few people were left in the hall.
Steven was conspicuous, who still stood calmly in the same spot. He was completely indifferent to the noise.
However, Eric, looked at everywhere in chaos with a blank gaze.
He even had not comforted Janet who was crying in his arms.
Originally Maddox did not agree with his marriage, so he had begged him for a few days for this engagement ceremony.
But now, the engagement turned into a mess and, he had suddenly become a joke in polite society. What was he gonna tell Maddox? And what should he do with Janet? Viola was quite satisfied with the result.
She clapped her hands and signaled the bodyguards to stop.
Her eyes fell on Janet, Eric, Amity and Myles who were angry.
"Game is just on. I will repay you a thousand times for the 'kindness' you did me."
Viola burst into laughter and strode away triumphantly.
At the door of the elevator, Viola pressed the button. A slender hand fell on her shoulder steadily.
Viola's eyelids twisted. With her hands crossed before her chest, she turned around slowly.
Sure enough, the handsome man behind her was Steven.
Steven was tall, and his deep eyes were cold as he looked down at her.
The bodyguards had left after they smashed the scene. Viola knew she could not escape, so she leaned against the wall and looked at Steven with a smile.
Steven stretched his hand against the wall and behind her head -- an absolutely powerful gesture of oppression.
Viola curled up her gorgeous red lips calmly, "What can I do for you, Mr. Chambers?"
"When will we get married?" He answered simply.
