Chapter 10
Chapter 10
Irene’s POV
I groaned as I felt the impact of hitting a full–grown young man with my own b*dy as I fell on top of him.
However, I know I can’t waste time. I stood up immediately and threw a punch at one of the other two that were coming
I missed.
“Who’s this b*tch that dares to interfere in our matter?” the third one, that was still holding on to the girl, asked as he shot me a disdainful look.
I ignored him.
I focused on the one in front of him and then threw another punch.
I missed it again. And this time, my attacker has gone from being serious to having a sneer hanging on his l*ps.
“You dared to come here with this little amount of skills?” The boy asked while swinging a punch towards my chest,
I dived low, dodging the attack and then moved backwards so that I was closer to the girl.
As long as I could just get her away from the claws of the third guy, the both of us would run.
While they might be stronger, seeing as the three of them were built, I was certain that they would be no match for my speed.
But first, I needed to get this third guy away
*She’s quite beautiful, too,” the third guy stated as he looked at me with interest.
“Hmm, we can replace her with…”
“F***!” The guy cried out as he bent over.
Using his distraction, I sent a very strong kick to his knees when he thought I was still dodging.
However, I underestimated his strength because the moment I made a move towards the third guy, the second guy grabbed me from behind and pressed me against his chest.
“Want to leave?”
“You are dreaming,” he countered immediately, and I twisted in his arms.
Damn this dress.

Although I never dared to fight back in the Bloodhound pack, one thing I never allowed was any of those bullies beating me.
But now, I actually had someone that I needed to save.
“You are not enough to keep me here,” I stated, using my most confident tone.
I could say that it worked because both of them looked at me with probing gazes.
“Who are you?” The third guy asked, and I rolled my eyes.
—— “You would find out soon enough,” I gloated. Surely, there’s no way they could have some status that would be higher than being the King’s guest, right?
The both of them looked unsure, and I took my chance. I leaned in and grabbed the girl who was still being held down by the second guy.
“Even the king would not support a person coming in between a breeder and her men,” a voice rang out behind me, and I glanced back to see that the third guy had regained his strength.
Was she their breeder? I glanced between the four of them suspiciously and then shook my head,
While a girl having three men who wanted to breed her wasn’t uncommon, forcing her and wanting to mess with her while she was in public was completely wrong.
Unless the laws worked differently in the Lycan Empire.
I pushed my thoughts away, focusing on the two guys that were now closing in on me.
The first one lunged at me, and 1 dodged swiftly, using my petite b*dy to my advantage. However, the other guy seemed to have expected this move from our fight earlier and grabbed me in one smooth move.
“Get away from me!” I yelled as he locked my two arms to my back.
“Feisty. I’m starting to think you would be a better choice,” the guy said with a soft croon that had my hair rising all over my b*dy.
“The training class must have ended,” the last guy that had the other girl in captive said, and he sent an angry glance my way.
The three of them said nothing for a moment, but I could easily tell that they were communicating with their mind links from their b*dy movements.
I didn’t say anything as I tried to plot my way out.
If I could get away from them, the murmuring was getting close, and I could save the other girl from getting hurt by running to them.
No, I needed to act before they did.

And so I screamed.
At the highest volume that my voice could dare go.

“Bitch!” One of the guys curses as a kick lands at the heel of my foot. Another scream, and one of them knocks me down and covers my mouth with his hand.
“How can you steal from us and expect to go scot–free?” One of them barked at the top of his lungs.
It’s not hard to tell why he’s shouting since the footsteps were closer and sounded even hurried.
Before long, I saw that a crowd had gathered around us.
I closed my eyes, soaking in the loss.
When it came to wits, I never lost.
It was all I had to defend myself against bullies. And yet, it was my first day here, and I had failed to defeat these three bastards.
“Aren’t you such a greedy b*tch? Stealing from top citizens like us,” another one said, and I heard gasps from the crowd.
I spat at the hand covering my mouth, and without thinking, the boy removed his hands in disgust, giving me the chance to speak.
“Steal from you? How can a frail girl like me without any powers steal from you three?” I asked sharply, and the first guy shot me a glare.
“You don’t want to admit that you are a thief? Then I’ll use the laws of…” Before he could complete his words, he was knocked down by a flying object.
“Who dared to lay their hands on my woman?” A familiar voice thundered from somewhere in the crowd, and I watched with bated breath as the crowd parted to reveal Noah.
Unlike the Noah I had known in less than forty–eight hours, the guy who walked towards me seemed a lot like Alek.
For the first time, I could see the similarities between them, and the darkness that seemed to be swirling around him as he stormed towards us reminded me of a certain prince.
Elton.
“Your Highness,” the two boys echoed as they fell to their knees.
“T.. this… lady…” one of them stuttered as he struggled to speak.
“There’s no way my woman would have anything of yours that she needs, Rand.”

“Speak before I find a truthfinder!” Noah demanded.
The three bows hurriedly bowed their heads.
“Forgive us, Your Highness, we didn’t know she was your person.”
Noah scoffed and then kicked at one of them.
Then the other.
And then, the last one.
He didn’t stop. Instead, he kept on delivering kicks to the three of them until they blurted out the truth.
As soon as one of them gave up the true story, Noah stopped.
“The three of you should turn yourself in,” he commanded as he bent down and carried me like I weighed nothing.
Now, in his embrace, I finally allowed myself to take a deep breath.
I was safe now.
More importantly, I won.
