Keziah was exhausted after dealing with Keziah. Furthermore, she had intense rounds of lovemaking with Victor until midnight and spent the second half of the night caring for Luna. Now, her whole body was sore.

Still, she knew Victor was much busier and had already gone to the company for a meeting early this morning. Keira felt a little sorry for him.

Since I have nothing to do today, why don’t I prepare a loving lunch and deliver it to him? With this thought in mind, she proceeded to carry it out.

Initially, Keira had learned cooking in her spare time and even obtained a chef’s certificate to please Joseph, who desired a virtuous traditional wife. However, she had never cooked for Victor in her past life.

She rushed to the kitchen, startling the busy servants. The servants quickly recovered from the initial surprise and greeted her respectfully.

The lead servant asked respectfully, “Mrs. Byrom, do you need anything?”

Keira surveyed the wall full of meticulously categorized ingredients and felt a bit overwhelmed. So, she had to ask the servants for help. “What ingredients do we have?

The servant answered cautiously, “Mrs. Byrom, it’s still early. We haven’t started preparing the ingredients, and the chef hasn’t arrived either.”

Realizing the servants had misunderstood, Keira chuckled, saying. I’m not rushing you to serve lunch. I want to cook lunch for Torry, so I’d like to get some ingredients. I might need your help, too.”

Cooking? Is she planning to poison the food again?

The servants immediately became nervous. The lead servant stepped forward with a smile, but the wrinkles at the corners of her eyes twitched slightly. “Mrs. Byrom, the kitchen is smoky and hot. How can we let you cook? Tell us if you have any food you wish to eat or bring to Mr. Byrom, and we can make it for you.”

“No, I want Torry to taste my cooking today.” Keira smiled politely and declined help.

The servants had no choice but to help her find the ingredients. Then, all the servants were dismissed except for the one who had spoken to Keira earlier. She stayed behind to assist Keira and exchanged glances with a young servant. Then, the young servant hurried out of the kitchen while Keira was focused on cooking.

Considering that Luna was still recovering from her illness, Keira prepared light dishes, including minestrone soup, buffalo wings that the children liked, oven–roasted asparagus, and the risotto she had just finished making. A hearty lunch was completed.

She packed up a portion for Victor and instructed the servant to plate the rest for the children to have for lunch. Then, she carried the lunchbox and prepared to leave for lunch with Victor.

“Mrs. Byrom, let Sue carry the lunchbox. I have arranged a driver for you. Are you ready to leave now?” Mr. Cruz appeared in the kitchen at some point, accompanied by a servant, presumably Sue.

He discreetly exchanged a glance with the servant who had assisted Keira with cooking earlier, feeling reassured after receiving the hint that Keira had not tampered with the ingredients.

Keira narrowed her eyes and considered for a long time before nodding slightly. She expressed her satisfaction with Mr. Cruz’s arrangement. “Sounds good to me.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Cruz’s palms broke out in cold sweat. Just now, he thought Keira was going to cause trouble. But unexpectedly, Keira casually looked away and handed Sue the lunchbox. It was only after Keira left that Mr. Cruz finally relaxed

After getting along with her for these few days, Mr. Cruz was willing to believe that she had turned over a new leaf. However, he could not afford to be careless concerning his boss and the children’s health.

Keira, led by the bodyguards, headed outside first, and Sue followed behind. Mr. Cruz whispered to Sue as she walked past him, “Don’t let the lunchbox out of your sight. Make sure Mrs. Byrom doesn’t suspect anything.

They arrived at Victor’s company building, a towering structure resembling an unsheathed sword piercing the azure sky. The people entering and leaving it had serious expressions. Even before entering the building, one could sense the high–pressure environment.

Keira suddenly felt nervous. Apart from the two instances where she argued with Victor for Joseph, she had never entered this building. Previously, she had stormed in and left in anger, never taking a close look at what the building was like.

Watching people rushing about busily downstairs, she could imagine Victor’s work environment.

He must be tired from work, yet he still cared for her and cherished her. However, all she did in her past life was throw tantrums and cause him trouble. Thinking of this, Keira felt even more ashamed to see him.

Before Keira could mentally prepare herself, the security guard at the entrance noticed her. Panic flashed across his face. He immediately nudged his colleagues, instructing them to keep an eye on Keira before running into the building, shouting. “Alert! Alert! The boss’s wife is here again!”

The security guards who were diligently guarding their posts immediately became serious. Even the receptionists at the front desk instinctively stood up straight.

“What should we do? The president is in an important meeting discussing a crucial project. If Mrs. Byrom rushes in

there will be trouble!”

ΠΟΥ,

We can’t worry about the project right now. The president’s safety is more important! After Mrs. Byrom visited last time, the president was so angry that he had a severe stomach ulcer and had to be rushed to the hospital. We absolutely can’t let that happen again!”

A group of people quickly exchanged their thoughts and put them into action. Someone went upstairs to notify the president. ‘s office and discuss the next steps.

The security guards at Byrom Corporation were not afraid of gangsters and thugs robbing them. They could handle a real fight if necessary. But the president’s wife was a different matter altogether. Letting her in would undoubtedly create a catastrophe. But they could not offend her or use force if they denied her entry. They were utterly powerless.

As Keira was ready to enter, a security guard rushed to her and greeted her politely, “Greetings, Ms. Sunter.”

Keira did not correct the security guard. After all, there were too many security guards in the Byrom Corporation, and she could not correct them all. It would be better to inform them through Victor.

She signaled Sue to follow her. But as she was about to enter, the security guards nervously blocked her way.

“Ms. Sunter, what business do you have here today?” The security guard placed his hand on his belt where his baton was. However, he could not use force and could only obstruct Keira’s path.

“Im here to deliver lunch for Victor. Keira smiled calmly.

The security guard’s legs trembled. Oh no! Previously, she also claimed to be delivering food for the boss, only to nearly tear down the office and cause a massive scene with him. Is she planning to do the same today?

Just as the security guard was on the verge of panicking, a savior emerged from behind. The head of security, Colin Lake, hurried out from the lobby and smiled apologetically. “Um, Ms. Sunter, the president has an important cooperation meeting today and isn’t at the company.”

“Is that so?” Keira blinked. She distinctly remembered that Victor mentioned that he would have a meeting at the company in the morning. How could he not be here!

Looking at the tense faces of the security guards, Keira felt drained for the first time. Being a reformed troublemaker was not rary

sure

“Are you sure you want to stand in my way?” Keira’s face displayed a hint of coldness. She looked like she was on the verge losing her temper at any moment.
