Karalyn POV

I never thought I would one day live in the Lycan kingdom. Live with Lycan and Rogue. That image never once appeared in my daydreams.
For a month, I had to grow used to the smells of Lycan, rogue, and werewolf that appeared to converge in the sky above this kingdom.
At first, I was afraid of the gazes and reactions of the Lycans to me. I bet they hate the werewolf clan. I’m ashamed to be among them.
The Lycan massacre by some Alphas from a big pack occurred 50 years ago, but the Lycans will never forget it. They are still in pain and suffering. No one could blame
them for being saddened by the loss of their family and frie. No one could blame
If I were them, I wouldn’t want to know or be with the people who hurt me. Now, I have such thoughts after I live in this kingdom. In the past, I never fought Carina and her minions and let them make fun of me.
When I think back on my past, it is embarrassing, and I get annoyed. If I could go back in time, I would tell myself not to let people look down on me simply because I am
unattractive or fat.
Regret always comes last.
However, I will never regret accepting Alpha King Raziel’s offer to become a member of his kingdom. Even though sometimes I feel like I don’t deserve to live in this kingdom.
I think I should join a rogue group. I can definitely find where in the forest they are hiding.
“Alpha King, don’t forget to have lunch with the generals. They want to discuss the registration of new warrior candidates. They said they want to increase the requirements,” I said.
Alpha King nodded with his eyes focused on the laptop and his hands on the keyboard. “Thanks for reminding me, Karalyn.”
“I’ll be here ten minutes before lunchtime.” A broad and polite smile never left my face.
Gigi asked me to always smile at Alpha King. She hoped that my smile would rub off on her son. Everyone, including Gigi, wanted to see Raziel smile, even if he only lifted his l*ps slightly.
They complained; Raziel could only smile crookedly, which made his face look event

more terrible.
“That’s right, you have to come. If you don’t want the generals to be angry with you.” Alpha King put the document he had been reading on the left side of the table and took another file.
Ah, I’m getting frustrated with this job. Beta, the generals, elders, and royal staff dare not get angry at Alpha King, and they blame me if Alpha King is late or forgets to attend. a meeting or comes somewhere.
“You’re right, Alpha. So I beg you not to sleep,” I said softly and put on a pleading face.
Alpha King raised his head, and our eyes met. “If I sleep, you have to wake me up.”
I nodded. I give up. I had to be prepared to hear the generals say I was negligent and couldn’t be Alpha King’s secretary.
I came out of Alpha King’s workspace. I smiled at the warriors standing guard at the front of the room. Then I proceeded through the long, peaceful corridor, ignoring the ornaments on the walls until I exited Alpha King’s palace.
“Why are you giving up? You just need to wake up the Alpha King,’ said. my wolf.
“You know better than anyone, Naya. I woke Alpha King twice, and he didn’t wake up. Finally, I asked Beta for help. I sighed. Then Beta taught me how to wake up Alpha King. I didn’t dare pinch or hit his shoulder.”
Naya chuckled. ‘Alpha King is like a dead man when he sleeps.
‘Yeah, that’s right.”
Alpha King Raziel has been very kind to me. He gave me a job as his secretary and found someone who could help me lose weight.
I am indebted to him, and I can never repay his kindness.
He is like an angel sent by the Moon Goddess to save my life.
Being Alpha King’s secretary is a difficult task because my primary responsibility is to remind Alpha King to eat, rest, attend meetings, and go somewhere to fulfill invitations.
Alpha King likes to work overtime. He would rather sleep during lunch than eat. He slept like the dead.
Working as Alpha King’s secretary makes me feel like I’m returning the favor to him, which is why I greatly enjoy it.
I’m not complaining. I am very grateful for my life now.

No one makes fun of me or looks down on me.
However, I can’t say my life is very peaceful now.

“You are still working as Alpha King’s secretary.” A female Lycan stood in front of the palace gate. She is the daughter of a nobleman. I don’t know her name or what family she comes from. I don’t care.
“Yes, I’m still working with Alpha King, Miss.” I smiled warmly at her.
“I don’t know why Alpha King offered you the job of being his secretary.” A look of disdain constantly flashed in the dark blonde-haired woman’s eyes whenever she looked at me. “You are a werewolf. Alpha King should employ a Lycan.”
“I also don’t know why Alpha King wants me as his secretary.” I shrugged my shoulders. “Alpha King is pleased to hear its members’ criticism and suggestions, so you can complain to Alpha King about this issue,” I said calmly.
The woman pointed at my face with her index finger, and her eyes grew sharper at me. “Do not be arrogant.” Her index finger moved to my chest. “We can never accept you as members of our kingdom.” She hissed. “Your blood is killer’s blood.”
The woman always brought up events from a long time ago when several Alpha werewolves from a big pack slau ghtered tens of thousands of Lycans over five years. The hatred in her eyes for me made my heart feel like a thousand needles were stabbing it.
Killer blood.
I raised
my head to see the blue sky and a flock of birds flying by. The strong wind – slapped my face, blew my hair, and pushed away the white clouds.
“Are only werewolves able to be killers?” I muttered under my breath.
A rough sigh blew from my wolf’s nose. ‘I don’t understand why the Lycans think all werewolves are guilty and murderous. At that time, only a few packs slau ghtered them!” My wolf said excitedly.
Just because of the actions of a few Alphas and their warriors, all werewolves have carned the nickname of killers and are despised by them. My wolf was right.
That bloo dy and terrible incident happened fifty years ago. My parents weren’t born yet. I was born knowing nothing and learned about this history from my late father. when I was six.
‘It’s honestly not fair. We are werewolves who did not participate in attacking the Lycans and who know that history from books. We shouldn’t get hate from the Lycans,’ I said.

Naya agrees with my opinion.
Alpha King welcomed werewolves and rogues with open arms, and he even invited me to become a member. Raziel asked the Lycans not to discriminate against and hate us, but secretly, without the Alpha King’s knowledge, many Lycans were bullying us, especially the werewolves.
“Hey. Madam. You are so old. Why are you so stingy?” A man kicked the table violently, causing several pieces of meat to almost fall to the floor. “You only have a little time left in this world.” He and his wife burst out laughing.
“Your granddaughter works as Alpha King’s secretary. You shouldn’t sell anymore, or if you’re stubborn, you should lower the price of your merchandise.” A woman hit on the
table.
The 70-year-old woman was calm and afraid of the two Lycans. She focused on cutting the beef she was going to sell.
Everyone only glanced at it; no one dared to stand up for the old lady.
I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and clenched my fists. I mustered the courage to face the two Lycans who always bothered Grandma.
When I opened my eyes, the two Lycans were about to throw away Grandma’s beef, so I dashed over to grab their hands. I locked my gaze on them. Anger welled up in my chest, and the kind smile on my face faded.
“If you’re not going to buy meat at this shop, don’t come to this shop just to yell at the seller and throw all of the beef on the floor.” I hissed. “I’m sure you guys know how to be polite to others.”
The two Lycans chuckled. They removed their hands from my grip. I immediately picked up two long pieces of beef that they had dropped on the floor.
“As usual, your granddaughter always comes like a knight.” The lycan woman laughed.
“Madam, you must be happy to have a granddaughter who always defends you,” said the male Lycan.
“Go away.” I hissed sharply.”
“Why didn’t you tell Alpha King that we often bully your grandmother? We were always. waiting for the warriors to catch us,” whispered the female Lycan. I gave her a death. stare as she stroked my chin.
I wanted to tell Alpha King about this, but Grandma forbade me because the Lycans would hate us even more.

“Come on, let’s go. The knight has come. It’s no longer fun.” Lycan man embracing his wife. They laughed. Their faces looked happy, with no guilt.
“Grandma.” I approached Grandma, who smiled broadly at me.
“Thank you very much, Karalyn,” Grandma patted my shoulder twice. Then she washed. the two d*rty pieces of beef.
My

I still can’t believe I’m brave enough to face them.”
