"Yes, I've already found an orphanage," Wilfred said calmly.

Karina was surprised. "You've already chosen one? I thought... weren't we planning to build a new one?" Wilfred shook his head. "I gave it more thought. Building a new orphanage would cost a lot and wouldn't easily gain people's trust. It would also be hard to recruit new staff."

Finding a qualified director and caretakers was no small task. With the low pay and demanding nature of the work, very few people were willing to take on such a thankless job.

"Coincidentally, there was an orphanage that recently shut down due to poor management. The

caretakers, staff, and orphans it housed were left without a place to go. The former team wanted to

crowdfund to reopen it but lacked sufficient support."

Karina's eyes lit up as she listened. "So, you thought about helping them?"

She beamed with excitement, cupping Wilfred's face and planting a loud kiss on his lips.

The smacking sound was surprisingly clear, and she was too delighted to notice the deepening intensity in Wilfred's eyes.

Suddenly, he grabbed her arm and pulled her into his embrace before she could react.

His kiss came down fiercely, overwhelming and consuming.

Karina found herself breathless, clutching tightly at his collar. "Wait... this is the hospital. Wilfred, have some self-control."

Wilfred, however, paid no mind.

Returning to their busy hospital routines had put a pause on their intimacy for several days, and he was far from pleased with the situation.

Now that he had an opportunity, he wasn't about to let it slip by.

It was only after a long moment that Wilfred finally released her.

Karina's face was flushed as she pushed him away and stepped aside to fix her smudged lipstick.

Seeing that Karina seemed upset, Wilfred decided to coax her. "Are you mad at me?" he asked softly, a hint of teasing in his tone.

Karina lightly elbowed him, not with much force. "Don't touch me! Seriously, you're so reckless. Isn't what you do at home enough?"

She had come back to work earlier than planned largely because of Wilfred.

Since their wedding, it felt like he had completely let loose. While he wasn't exactly insatiable, his demands were more than she could handle A day or two like this was manageable, but every single day? She just couldn't take it anymore.

Returning to work had been her escape plan.

But now, to her dismay, Wilfred was being just as unrestrained at the hospital!

"If you keep this up, I'm going to set some ground rules for you," Karina said firmly, her tone serious as she turned to face him.

Wilfred wrapped an arm around her

and, without a hint of guilt, replied, "Aren't you the one being

unreasonable? We just got married, and you're already pushing your husband away? That hardly seems fair."

He lowered his voice, his tone husky and teasing. "And besides, is it so wrong for me to want to be close to my wife?"

Karina found herself momentarily stunned. For the first time, she realized how effortlessly Wilfred could deliver sweet words. His deep, raspy voice was disarmingly seductive.

For a moment, Karina almost gave

in, but thankfully, her rationality returned just in time. Resolutely, she declined the temptation. "You still need to know your limits. Alright, it's getting late. Let's head out, and we can finish the rest of the plans later."

Fearing that Wilfred might continue pressing her and take things even further, Karina quickly wrapped a

scarf around her neck, stood up, and left the room in haste.
