CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1153

The uninvited guest was none other than William's mistress, whom he had been supporting outside the family. Back when William was alive, their lives were filled with material comforts. But now that he was gone, things had drastically changed for the worse. To make matters worse, the mistress, Xena York, was visibly pregnant. Standing beside her were William's son and daughter, and their intentions were clear.

"My beloved man is dead. Even though you didn't kill him directly, he died because of you. Now our entire family's livelihood is in jeopardy!" Xena sobbed, covering her face dramatically.

She also took notice of Nina's slightly swollen belly and raised her voice intentionally, shouting, "You're pregnant too! You should understand how hard it is for a pregnant woman!

"We're barely surviving, that's why we came to you. We have no other way out..."

Xena's cries grew louder, and her children followed suit, wailing alongside her.

Nash instinctively shielded Nina behind him. "Go upstairs, I'll handle this," he said.

Nina held onto Nash's hand. "I'm staying with you."

She wanted to stay by his side, ready to provide some support.

Nash narrowed his eyes at them, his lips slowly curling as he spoke, "William left on his own accord..."

But before he could finish, Xena cut him off, her gaze sharp and unyielding. "We're the biological heirs of the York family. You're just adopted, and the family gave you so much. Sharing a little money with your real siblings shouldn't be that hard, right?" Nina chuckled softly. "Then provide a paternity test. If you can prove it and meet all the requirements, of course, we'll give you a share."

"A share?" Xena sneered. "We are the biological descendants of the York family, and you expect us to settle for a share? You're planning to keep the bulk for yourselves. That's stealing our inheritance!"

Her words revealed her greed. She did not just want a portion. She wanted it all.

But it was not going to be that easy.

When the York Corporation needed help, William was busy living a lavish life outside. And his mother, Sally, had not treated Nash well at all.

Now that Nash had built the company into a success, did they really think they could just show up and claim a piece of the fortune?

Nina spoke up, feeling indignant on Nash's behalf. "When Nash took over York Corporation, William was the one who abandoned his shares. And it was their grandfather ho appointed Nash to lead!"

Xena waved her hand dismissively. "William is dead. Why are you bringing up the past? By your logic, we don't even deserve to live now?"

She plopped herself down on the couch, clearly intending to stay.

But Nina remained calm and

unbothered. "I already told you, bring us the paternity results. If you're truly the descendants of the York family, let the facts speak.

"And you're only giving us a part!" Xena snapped.

"If you want more, then we'll handle it according to inheritance law. We're perfectly fine with taking this to court," Nina said.

Taking it to court would mean facing Birkham's top lawyer, Ben, who was Nash's close friend. With no money or influence, they were bound to lose the case.

Xena had come here to guilt-trip Nina and Nash into a moral argument.

"You just don't want to give us

anything, and now you're talking

about courts? If we really follow the

legal process, you an outsider

wouldn't be entitled to inherit

anything from the York family!"
