CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1131

A mocking smile played on Nash's lips. "So, what now? You expect me to bow my head, apologize, and compensate you, and everything will be fine? Otherwise, if I don't play along, you'll hold me accountable, and I'll have to face the consequences myself?" Although Nash was smiling, the coldness in his eyes was unmistakable.

These people were seasoned in the political arena, having dealt with all kinds of individuals before. They weren't easily intimidated by Nash's demeanor. But they were determined to make him pay for his actions. "Since you understand, then it's best you comply," one of them said.

But there was no way Nash would let himself be outmatched, especially by someone trying to use their position to strong-arm him.

Since they had come to him with this approach, Nash decided to take action. He made a single phone call, and soon after, the disciplinary committee arrived to investigate the young man and his family. The investigation revealed that Orin had been trying to ride on Orion's fame, hoping to gain popularity and wealth through the entertainment industry. However, the wealth he acquired was far from clean.

And most importantly, that spoiled young man had committed numerous wrongdoings, all while hiding behind his father's and uncle's titles.

Now that Nash had set the wheels in motion, he intended to expose everything in one fell swoop.

After making the call, Nash needed to visit Grandpa Henry, which meant leaving Nina at home. Luckily, her parents, Zion and Julia, were visiting.

Nash asked them, "Dad, Mom, could you please stay with Nina for a few more days? I have some unfinished business to take care of."

Zion and Julia had witnessed the tension and conflict between Nash and those people. It seemed like there was never a moment of peace for Nash and Nina.

Zion didn't want Nina's life to be filled with one stressful situation after another, so he suggested, "Nina, why don't you and Nash consider moving to the countryside? It's peaceful there, and no one will bother you."

Nina understood her father's concern, but Nash needed to manage the York family's business, and Orion had to attend school in the city.

Moving to the countryside could mean sacrificing Orion's education. While hiring a tutor was an option, she believed that children should experience the process of growing up in a community.

"Dad, these challenges are only temporary. We're capable of handling them, so don't worry about us," Nina reassured him, her respect and affection for them unchanged.

Nina held their hands and said,

"Mom, Dad, why don't you stay a bit longer this time? During the wedding and your other visits, you always had to leave in a hurry. I haven't even had the chance to take you shopping. Let's take some time to explore the city and see if we can find something you'll love.

"You haven't spent much time with my father either. I was thinking he could give you both a checkup and maybe recommend some supplements."

As people aged, health issues could arise, and early detection was crucial for prevention.

Zion waved it off with a smile. "Your mom and I are in good health. There's no need for any checkups. But you," he said, looking at Nina with concern.

He took Nina's hand and said, "You

and Nash are in positions that naturally invite envy. You need to take good care of yourself and the kids. Orion's health has always worried me. I'm constantly concerned about both of you."

"Why don't you come stay with us for a while?" Julia suggested, echoing Zion's concern.
