Can't Win Me Back (Isabella and Nathan)

Chapter 76

"Nathan, this is what she owes me." Isabella's expression suddenly turned sinister. She grinned like a demon, "A life for a life. Now, I'm even with her."

Nathan finally understood-it was inevitable.

Victoria owed Isabella a kidney, so Isabella had cruelly retaliated by making her lose the child... Nathan clenched his teeth and said, "Isabella, your malice surpasses your Bella's. But, I do owe you, so I won't hold this against you. If there's a next time, I'll show no mercy. Tomorrow, we'll go to the Public Affairs Directorate to get the divorce certificate. We'll never see each other again for the rest of our lives." Isabella gave him a dark look. "Nathan, I'm just saying that I'm even with Victoria. Our accounts haven't even begun to be settled yet."

"You took my kidney, you don't love me but still took away my purity, and you... the crimes you've committed are beyond measure."

She skipped over the tragic past.

Nathan couldn't help but feel that she was narrow-minded, and he deeply regretted ever getting involved with such a vengeful woman. "Isabella, you're crazy. You killed my child, and out of old feelings, I won't hold it against you. But now, you're pushing your luck?"

"Fine. If you want to take revenge on me, then bring it on. But I'll warn you-after this, I won't show you any mercy. You're just an ant in my hands, and I can crush you anytime."

"Just don't come begging me later, crying and kneeling."

Isabella silently watched him.

His cold, indifferent expression overlapped with the one from their past life.

The day their daughter passed, he had coldly scolded her in a video call: "Other kids aren't afraid of injections or medicine. Why are you so scared? You keep crying and asking for your dad. But Dad's busy, you should be strong. Don't call me so often."

The daughter, tearfully, explained: "Daddy, it really hurts. The doctor says I don't have long to live. Daddy, can you promise me you'll come home more often to see Mommy..."

Nathan, furious, shouted, "Isabella, do you think that if you teach her to say that, I'll come home? Using the child to get my sympathy, I find that disgusting."

He impatiently hung up.

The child was traumatized, and passed away that very day.

She died without peace.

Later, Victoria sent Nathan a photo of them at an amusement park, riding the Ferris wheel. She

triumphantly flaunted it to Isabella: "Bella, so what if you married Nathan? He'll always love me. Even if

you gave him a daughter, he can never love her, because he doesn't love you."

At that moment, all of Isabella's deep love for Nathan evaporated.

She held her cold daughter's body and walked towards the snowy mountains. Towards death.

Isabella looked at Nathan, her beautiful almond eyes dark with bloodlust. Her voice, when she spoke, was tinged with a chilling, desolate tone: "Nathan, what you owe me, I'll collect, no matter if it's at the ends of the earth or the netherworld."

With those words, she turned and walked away.

Nathan's body felt like it was encased in ice. Isabella's last look at him filled him with dread.

The ends of the earth and the netherworld?

Why did she hate him so much?

Why?

Nathan couldn't understand.

Suddenly, the sound of Victoria's heartbroken sobs reached him. Forgetting about his past with Isabella, he stumbled into the hospital room.

Victoria, seeing him, turned her head away awkwardly, deliberately avoiding his gaze. "Now that the child is gone, our bond is broken. You wanted to break up, so go ahead and leave."

Nathan grabbed her hand, gently soothing her: "Victoria, take care of yourself. I'll take care of you this month.

Victoria softened a little. She turned to look at him: "When Isabella had her miscarriage, you were

indifferent. Now that I've lost my child, you're so concerned. Nathan, you still love me, don't you? Let's not break up, okay?"

Her words made Nathan feel uneasy.

Did he really treat Isabella that badly?

No wonder Isabella hated him so much.

"Victoria, we'll talk about this later. This month, I'll focus on taking care of you. Your health is the most important thing."

"Nathan " Victoria grabbed Nathan's hand, "I've lost my child. Can you give me another one?"

Nathan's hand immediately pulled away.

He stared into her pleading eyes, his voice thick with reluctance: "Victoria, the doctor said you might not be able to have children again."

The words hit like a thunderclap, and Victoria froze, as if struck by lightning.

The miscarriage, Mrs. Hill forcing

her to break up with Nathan, and

now she couldn't bear children in the future..., so many blows came at

once,

and

her fragile body couldn't

take it. She suddenly felt a rush of

emotions and vomited a mouthful of blood.

Nathan's face was stained with red.

"Victoria..." He was terrified. He shouted in panic, "Doctor!"

The doctor rushed in, and Victoria, like a dead leaf in the autumn wind, lay still, her eyes wide open, but no other signs of life.

The doctor performed CPR, and after a long while, Victoria's heartbeat returned.

In just a few minutes, Nathan went through the emotional chaos of a lifetime. It hit him he couldn't bear losing Victoria.

He tightly grasped Victoria's hand, overwhelmed with joy that she was alive again. He threw everything aside and said, "Victoria, we won't break up. Let's get married."

Victoria cried with joy.

The next day.

The rising sun.

Nathan carried Victoria out of the hospital.

The driver parked the car in front of them, and Nathan, holding Victoria, got into the back seat. He coldly instructed the driver, "Take us to the Public Affairs Directorate."

The driver was stunned, his expression complicated.

The CEO was carrying the sick Miss Moore to the Public Affairs Directorate. The intention was obvious-

he was taking her to get their divorce certificate.

Wasn't this a slap in the face to the wife, a humiliation?

Wouldn't the vengeful wife agree?

The CEO's love-struck behavior needed to be fixed.

At the Public Affairs Directorate.

In contrast to the last time, Isabella had arrived early. Perhaps the good news had lifted her spirits, for she appeared refreshed and full of vitality.

Nathan carried Victoria out of the car, and Isabella's warm gaze suddenly turned cold.

"Nathan, what do you mean by bringing her here?" Isabella's voice was icy.

Victoria, weak but still able to muster a smug smile, looked at Isabella: "Bella, once you and Nathan are divorced, I'll marry him."

Isabella's face instantly darkened. Her sharp eyes turned to Nathan: "Hill, are you really humiliating me this much?"

Nathan, with a cold face, explained:

"I didn't mean it like that. Your Bella's just in a bad mood. I'm just trying to cheer her up. Isabella, don't you have enough tolerance to let this go?"

Victoria smiled even more smugly, tightening her arm around Nathan.

Isabella's face turned ashen with anger. "Nathan, you have no shame. I still have my pride. Either she leaves, or we'll divorce another day."
