Chapter Nineteen

The momenti enter the dining room I am met with Kayden's dad Felix, Abraham, and their mates. I hadn't seen them since the ceremony and for a moment there, I felt sale. But seeing them reminds me of how wronglam.

I can feel Kayden watching me, he leads me to our chairs and sits me next to him. I look up and see Grant there and also three other Alphas from neighboring packs and one of them is Alpha Cristian. He is tall with long light brown hair to his chin and dark blue eyes. He looks like he is a few years older than Kayden but not by much. I feel horrible remembering what I did to him.

Abraham and Felix don't even look at me but Jocelyn, Abraham's mate, looks at me with hate.

I look at Kayden's mom Madalyn who is next to me and she gives me a small smile. "You look, lovely dear." She says to me.

"Thank you." I say softly.

"Alpha Kayden... hhmm... that sounds... wrong." One of the Alpha's says smirking. He is blond with brown eyes. He is slimmer than Kayden but still tall and his hair is slicked back like Kayden but his face is completely shaved, unlike Kayden who has a clean stubble, which I think makes him look...sexy.

What he said is something that would be rude to say to an Alpha, but the way he said it sounded playful.

I look at Kayden and he smirks back at him. "You asshole." He says and they both start laughing. We all look at them confused except for Grant.

"Landon-I mean Alpha Landon, was my sparring partner back at the fortress until last year when he took the Alpha position in his pack." Kayden says explaining.

Alpha Landon smiles. "And here we are trembling at your feet." He says. "The things I've seen this man do." He says shaking his head.

"This is my mate and Luna to my pack, Beatrice." Landon says looking at a tall model-looking girl next to him. She is beautiful, tall slim long blond hair, big blue eyes, and wearing a red body-hugging dress. She smiles and bows her head. Landon then looks at me. "And this is her, the girl you wouldn't shut up about." He says smiling.

Kayden smiles looking guilty and nods. "This is my mate and Luna, Rain Cade." Kayden says and then looks at me.

"Rain, this is Alpha Landon, next to him is Alpha Roman and you already know Alpha Cristian." Kayden says and when I look at Cristian, I get embarrassed and lower my gaze.

"Sorry." I say softly and Alpha Cristian chuckles. "It's all been forgotten." He says. Felix gets up abruptly. "How can you call her Luna to this pack? She is beneath our station and" Kayden gets up abruptly as well and slams his hand on the table. "I don't care that you are my father, 1 will punish you for disrespecting your Luna." Kayden shouts.

"What is that supposed to mean by the way?" Alpha Landon asks looking annoyed at Felix. "My mate is an omega, are you saying that she is beneath me?" He now looks offended. "I'm sure that's not it, he means Rain and who she is." Abraham says.

"And who am I?" The words come out before it registers that it's me. But I feel anger, I have never done anything to these two men and they have been horrible to me.

"You know what you did." Abraham says in a low tone looking at me.

Abraham's cyes go cold and angry, "You lil." "OUT! B01H OF YOU OUT!"* Kayden shouts to them and that was an Alpha command.

Abraham gets up immediately and leaves with Jocelyn lollowing him. The Alpha command doesn't work on his dad but he gets up and leaves as well, Madilyn gives an apologetic look and goes after ther. Kayden sits back down and relaxes holding my hand then looks at Grant.

"Send both of them to the Fortress for two days." Kayden says. "Make sure that they don't have a status and that they are there for manual labor." Grant nods.

Tam surprised. (He is punishing them?)

Alpha Landon smiles completely approving. "That should bring them back down from their high horse a bit."

"The nerve of them." Alpha Roman says. He looks like he's on his early thirties with short dark hair, tan skin, and dark eyes. He is shorter than Kayden but he has muscular broad shoulders that almost look like they don't fit in his clothes. "I know, if someone talked about my Luna that way, I'd rearrange their face." Alpha Cristian says. "I apologize for their behavior." Kayden says to the Alphas. "Don't, older people tend to be set in their ways." Roman says. "I do not like them one bit." Beatrice says then she looks at me. "Are you ok?" Inod and Kayden holds my hand tighter caressing me with his thumb.

They continue to talk until dinner is done. We then head to the living room where the men start to drink and Beatrice and I talk a bit. She ends up being really nice and sweet. I don't tend to trust people but lately, my view of others has been changing. It seems now to me that this pack was the one that was damaged. People from other packs seem to be different.

Once everyone is ready to leave, we say our goodbyes to the Alphas and head upstairs but we are both really quiet. "Rain... what was that about?" He asks me sitting on the bed.

"What?" I ask.

"What you said to Abraham and my father. You said they knew what they did as well." He says but I stay quiet.

"What did they do?" Kayden asks.

I sit on the bed next to him. I'm trying to find the strength to utter the words out but they don't come. really want to tell him. I shake my head.

"Do you really don't trust me yet?" He asks looking pained.

I shake my head. "It's not that... I... can't say it." I say.

"Why?" He asks confused.

(Because I am commanded. That's what I want to say but I can't even say that.) I stay quiet. (I wish! could write it down but I can't do that either, I have tried before and my hand won't move.)

He gets up and starts to pace, I can tell he's frustrated. "I can't help you if you won't let me in Rain." He says looking at me.

I look down. (I want to tell him so bad.)

I don't say a thing, and he leaves the room frustrated.

I take a shower and I change into sleeping clothes. I lie down on the bed and put the covers over me but it feels lonely without him. I like having him next to me. I know for sure now that I really care for him. I don't like to see that look of pain on him.

Thear the door open and I look back and see Kayden but he's looking to the hall with the door open, He closes the door back going into the hall but the door doesn't completely close.

"Richard, you were delta for my father since Rain was here, can I ask you something?" Thear Kayden say.

"Oh of course Alpha." I hear Richard say. "What is this feud between my father, Abraham, and Rain?" Kayden asks. (I don't think he knows.... does he?)

I hear silence. "Alpha...I really don't know but I know what you mean. Ever since she was here, she's been treated badly for no real reason."

"The way she says things make it seem like my father and Abraham have done something... horrible." Kayden says.

"I really don't know what to say but, if I remember anything that would cause her to say something like that, I will immediately tell you Alpha." Richard says. "Thank you." Kayden says and walks back into the room. I act like I'm asleep with my back turned to him. I hear him changing and once he does, he gets in bed. "Rain?" He says softly caressing my shoulder. I look back at him.

"I'm sorry." He says. I can't contain myself and hug him burying my face in his chest. He's so surprised but he quickly holds me.

"I want to tell you. I really do, but I can't." I say with my voice sounding muffled. "It's ok, whenever you're ready, I'm here." He whispers. He holds me and we both fall asleep.

The next few days, Kayden and I grow closer. We haven't done much other than kiss and hug. He makes me feel comfortable and doesn't rush me although he can be mischievous, like that day in his office when he made me touch his... manhood. I was so embarrassed but at the same time curious ever since Avery told me what a hand job was. When I touched it, it was so hard and then he made me squeeze it and my heart was running wild. It was exciting even though I was embarrassed to the point where he was teasing me. Now every time we wake up in the morning, I take a quick look at his crotch without him noticing to see it.

And today is no exception. I look at his sleeping face and look down where his manhood pokes my thigh since we are so close cause we sleep holding each other now. He is wearing long cotton pajama pants and there is a huge bulge in his crotch area. I really have never seen one and I feel so curious.
