Chapter Epilogue
Heart stood in the room to the left of the Press Room, shifting anxiously. The room was abuzz with reporters, all curious as hell as to his surprise announcement. He already heard the rumors circling… he was getting married, he was retiring, he was releasing a new brand…
Tracey nodded to him, checking the time. She smiled warmly at him, and as he walked past her, she pulled him into a hug, surprising him. “I’m proud of you and I support you, Heart,” she whispered in his ear, making him flush.
He pulled away, smiling at her. “You’re only saying that for the coffee,” he teased, swallowing around the lump in his throat.
She laughed, smacking his arm, and he smiled softly at her, thanking her. Moving around Tracey, he saw Floris, who winked at him. Heart rolled his eyes, sticking his tongue out at his best friend.
He exhaled and stepped into the Press Room. Questions instantly were thrown at him as Floris took his elbow, guiding him to the raised platform. “You always do things so dramatically,” Floris teased him under his breath.
Heart smirked. “Is there any other way?” He shot back.
He mounted the platform, Floris standing behind him to the side, where he always was. Heart looked out at the hordes of reporters, the camera flashes threatening to blind him. He tapped the mic, and smiled, encouraging them to settle down.
“First, thank you all for coming today. It’s a very special day for me, as I have something important to share with all of you.” His gaze swept over the room, unconsciously searching. He shook his head a little, focusing on the task at hand.
“I have debated with myself regarding this decision, and after talking it over with my manager, as well as my company, I have decided to share something with you all, something I have kept to myself throughout my entire career.”
The reporters instantly surged to their feet, questions turning into a dull roar. He gripped the mic, trying to calm his now shaking hands. Could he do this? Heart took a deep breath, looking out at the sea of reporters, searching the crowd. Finally, his gaze settled on the one person he needed to see. Clar. He was there, smiling at Heart, pride, and affection in his gaze. Heart smiled and cameras flashed, the clicking of shutters muting as he looked at the one who helped him be brave.
“I’m an Omega.”

AN:
Thank you everyone for coming on this journey with me. I first started this book to combat some elements of this AU that I didn’t agree with. It was supposed to be a short, fun little story, but along the way, it morphed into a sweet love story about a man who was searching for acceptance, and one who desired the freedom to make his own choices.
I want this story to serve as an inspiration to those who are on their own journeys towards self-discovery and self-fulfillment. To those out and proud, you are beautiful and incredible. To those who aren’t, you are no less valid, and I wish you a future that gives you both safety to be yourself, and the knowledge that you are incredible.
All of us have journeys that we are making, with hopes, dreams, and desires of acceptance, love, and just knowing that we are enough as we are. I wish you all luck on your journey, and hope that you find and surround yourself with people who help you be brave, and who let you know that you are worth so much.
Love to you all,
