Chapter 32 I'm Here to Take You Home
When Becca woke up, it was almost noon. She stretched out, opened her eyes and saw the ceiling.
Huh? How did she get to bed? Wasn't she in the study last night? Did she sleepwalk?
She got out of bed and ran to the study, finding that the paper she had thrown on the ground had been tidied up. All the clothes were hung neatly, and the house was also tidied up. The whole house was clean. Did Kelly come?
"Becca," Kelly arrived when she was just thinking of her and knocked on the door. "Do you have any plans today?"
"Where is Kelvin?" Becca smoothed her messy hair.
Kelly hesitated for a while with some complexion on her face.
Becca saw his hesitation and pointed at him, saying, "What?"
"Today is the birthday of the old man of the Moore family." Kelly murmured.
The old man of the Moore family. Becca thought.
"The father of Miss Moore?"
Kelly nodded.
Somehow the heart of Becca suddenly lost. Miss Moore is the fiancée of Kelvin. And the old Moore would be father-in-law of Kelvin.
"Becca, the Moore family is the shareholders of Heyday Group. The two families have been friends for many generations. Kelvin should go there. Don't think too much." Kelly quickly explained. Becca lowered her eyes. The Moore family was the sounding family of the South City. The two families got along well with each other. Miss Moore was beautiful and decent. Both appearance and family background were well matched for her and Kelvin ...
"It's okay," Becca smiled. "I don't mind."
This statement was not only for Kelly, but also for herself.
She and Kelvin were not a real couple. He had a fiancée already, and she was only a surprise in his life.
She was walking out, but Kelly's phone rang at this moment.
As he answered the phone, he gradually frowned unnaturally and looked at Becca.
"Becca, Albert is downstairs."
Becca stopped.
At the entrance of the clubhouse, a Ferrari car was covered with red roses. Albert was dressed in a suit with a bouquet of flowers in his hand, looking in the direction of the hall. Becca came out. Albert was trying to walk toward her, but when he saw Kelly behind her, he turned into a bad look.
"Becca." Albert smiled sincerely.
"What are you doing here?" She was expressionless.
Albert glanced at Becca and approached her. "I am here to take you home."
"Home?" Becca sneered, "Do I have home?"
"Becca." Albert tried to calm himself. "Isn't our new house your home? That's what your mother left you. Everything is arranged according to your preference. That's our home."
"That's your home with Laura." Becca looked away, "My dear father took it as Laura's trousseau long ago. You should go pick her up instead of me."
"If it is because of Laura, we have already made a deal that she will not bother us again." Albert couldn't wait to tell her the good news.
Becca smiled with taunt, "You got a deal? You just cancel your wedding? Why, she got a new lover, then you think of me?" "Becca..." Albert was going to pull Becca's hand. But she lifted her hand and stepped back.
"I thought I had made it clear to you, Albert, there is no way we can make up. You don't have to waste your time."
Albert got furious, he pointed at Kelly and said, "Is it because of him? In order to get me back, you are with this man now?"
Kelly really felt undeserved. Why did everyone think he was having an affair with his sister-in-law? If Kelvin found out, he would be killed!
"Does it matter?" Becca did not explain. "I am not your wife. I can be with whoever I want."
"So you admit it?" Albert couldn't believe it, "You ruined our five-year relationship!"
Becca really felt ridiculous. "Seriously? You were the one who gave up the relationship. It was also you who betrayed first! When you were cheated by Laura's words and said that I was vicious, why didn't you think of our relationship?"
"You knew I was just angry at that time." Albert wanted to take Becca away. "Let's go!"
"Master Davis," Kelly came forward, blocking Albert's hand. "You have heard Miss Garcia said that she had nothing to do with you."
The two men confronted each other, and Albert threw his sleeves impatiently. "This is our business. Why are you here?"
Kelly stepped forward, stood up straight, and tidied his clothes. "I don't care whose business this is. You just can't take her away!" If Albert took Becca away today, Kelvin would kill him!
"You..."
Kelly was very tall, and became more upright after straightening waist. Only then did Becca see a little military temperament from him.
"Are you really not going with me, Becca?" Albert asked her, "Just think about it, you're going to reject me for this man?"
"I reject you, not for anyone, just for myself. Albert, I thought we've been together for so long that you may know me, but it seems that's all." She turned away and walked in.
"Becca!" Albert wanted to follow her, but Kelly reached out and blocked his way.
"Please go back." Kelly did not even look at him.
Albert stared hard at Kelly, and threw the roses to the ground. All the bright petals scattered.
"I'll be back." Albert whispered.
She would be alone sometime. He still could not believe Becca could be so cruel.
Becca went into the elevator, and went upstairs without waiting for Kelly.
Five years. She did not think that she and Albert would end up like this.
In her mind, Albert was always the warm thoughtful gentleman who would run through cities to find the fabric she wanted and stay with her all-night drawing.
He once told her that one day they would become famous wedding dress designers around the world, using their love to paint the future for more couples.
But all this was just a joke.
Love, future, nothing.
Becca went back to the study. She picked up her phone and saw the unanswered calls from Albert in the early hours.
She clicked in and stared at the name for a long time. Finally, with a trembling finger, she put him into the blacklist.
Sitting on the floor, she was preparing to continue what had not been done last night, but was interrupted by the information message on her phone. She caught a glimpse and found Kelvin's name! Mr. Kelvin Lewis, president of Heyday Group, appeared with his fiancée. His wedding was on the agenda.☐☐☐☐☐☐
