Chapter 16 Be the Master of the South City
She was still in dust. Her face was covered with dirt, brushed with tears, looked like wearing a Beijing opera actor's makeup.
Kelvin helped wipe her face. When his hand just touched her face, Becca took a breath of pain.
Kelvin squinted. The light was dim for him to see clearly. When he looked close, her face seemed to be swollen.
"Who slapped you?" He held her chin and rubbed her face, only to find that the mark on her face was not just mud, but also bruise.
Becca pushed him away and sat down by the bedside, covering her face and not speaking.
Although John punished her or scolded her, he never slapped her. But today... for the sake of Laura and her mother, he slapped her and which made her totally disappointed in him. Kelvin said coldly, "John or Albert?"
"I don't want to talk to you or see you."
Kelvin raised his eyes, and watched her for a few seconds so that she was afraid of his sight.
When Becca thought he might be thoroughly pissed off by her, Kelvin turned around, pulled the door, and left.
'What's going on with this man? He's too moody.'
Becca couldn't guess what he was thinking or what he would do next.
It was too tiring to get along with such a person. She had to find a way to divorce! They'd better never see each other again!
Just as she was about to go to the bathroom, the door was knocked. Becca opened the door and saw Kelly with several people standing outside, pushing several food trucks. "Mrs. Garcia," Kelly greeted her, "this is your dinner."
He winked at the people behind him, who were carrying dishes toward the dining table in the hall, and, in a moment, the food had already filled the table.
Becca had never seen such a great dinner. Looking at that delicious food, although hungry, she dared not to eat.
"Where is Kelvin?" Becca looked behind Kelly, and did not find Kelvin.
"Boss went back," Kelly answered truthfully.
'Back? Has he gone to the Lewis Residence?'
Somehow, the light in Becca's eyes dimmed.
She knew that she was angry at him because of the Garcia family. She was angry just now, and blew off to Kelvin.
'I do get him wrong. If it's not him, I am caught back now by John.'
"This is what boss asked me to give you." Kelly took a small medicine box from his pocket.
Becca got it, looking at the words above reading "for detumescence". She was more upset. The loved one gave her this wound, but a stranger who only met her for a day cared about her at this time. Becca had some food. After taking a shower, she took the medicine. Feeling the slapped place cooled by the medicine, she slept well.
The next day, Kelvin still did not return. Becca was concerned about the Garcia family, So she could not sit there doing anything. Accompanied by Kelly, Becca visited the whole clubhouse building. "This is the Nova Hall." Kelly introduced to Becca, "it is usually used to hold large wedding ceremonies."
The two went to a floor and saw a large table, in front of which there was a long red carpet stretched to the end of the stage.
If there had been no accident, she would walk on through such a long red carpet on her wedding, wearing a beautiful wedding dress, and married Albert. But now...
"But the Nova Hall is not for anyone to order." Kelly explained politely, but not modestly, "whatever identity, anyone must pay at once."
"I see." She knew about it, so she had never thought about Nova when preparing for the wedding. On one hand, it was too extravagant and wasteful.
On the other hand, Albert said it was too difficult and troublesome to line up here.
"But you're different, Mrs. Garcia." Kelly, with a smile, spread his hands, showing a black card in front of Becca, "This is the pass card of Nova. There are only two cards in thousands of Nova halls." Becca stared at this black and golden-gilded card, with three eye-catching words, VIP, on it.
"Pass card?" Becca picked it up. "Why?"
'Isn't it just a member? But I can't afford it.'
"Take this card and you will be the master of all Nova clubs in the South City and around the world. All items and activities are free for you." Kelly smiled politely.
'Free!' Becca's eyes lighted up.
'Jesus. No wonder it is called a pass-card. This is Nova's topped VIP card. With this, I'll live in Nova for the rest of my life.'
Originally Becca pinched the card in the fingertips. But now the card status went up more than one class instantaneously. She held it with both her hands, and wanted to find a shrine to worship it. But when Becca unintentionally glanced, she saw a familiar figure ahead. Her sight was instantly pinned at this person.
It was Albert...☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
