Rebecca stood in the building lobby with trembling legs. Her vision was blurry, and her ears were filled with a buzzing sound, making it impossible for her to hear clearly. Chapter 6

Rebecca rested her chin on the car window, watching Nicholas’s back disappear behind. the restaurant door. Minutes later, suddenly, a car stopped in front of her, a luxury car that she knew very well.

Not long after, Harvey came out, followed 1 Alicia.

Rebecca felt a sharp sting in her chest that made her jolt. Her chest throbbed painfully as if a sharp knife had just landed there.

She turned away when Alicia clung lovingly to Harvey’s arm and was about to close the car window when a homeless man suddenly shocked her by singing loudly in front of her. His voice made Harvey and Alicia turn around in surprise.

Rebecca felt cornered. She couldn’t avoid Harvey’s sharp eyes staring at her. Alicia’s loud snort brought her back to reality. She turned towards Alicia and felt her chest fill with hatred and anger. She had never hated anyone so much that she wanted to pounce and tear her apart right then and there.

“Harvey, your client is waiting inside. Shall we?” Alicia said, gently touching Harvey’s cheek.

Rebecca felt an uncontrollable surge of anger “Bitch!” she hissed louder than she intended, causing Harvey and Alicia to look up in surprise.

“WHAT DID YOU SAY?” Alicia shouted, releasing her arm from Harvey’s.

“Alicia, keep it down; we’re in a public place,” Harvey said, realizing that a big scene was about to unfold.

Rebecca knew she should end everything elegantly, but she couldn’t help but vent her anger on Alicia. Not because that snake–woman had taken Harvey from her, but because she had taken an innocent fetus from her womb.

She opened the car door and jumped out, “BITCH! EVIL! Baby killer! That’s what you are!” Rebecca screamed, walking quickly and slapping Alicia hard when she wasn’t ready.

“REBECCA!” Harvey shouted, shocked.

Rebecca felt her whole body trembling. She was about to slap Alicia again, but a grip on

She spat to the ground and then bumped her shoulder hard against Alicia’s and walked away from them, leaving Nicholas’s car still running, crossing the busy street with her vision blurred by tears until suddenly a speeding car hit her, and everything went black.
