Jiang Ning had come alone and hadn't brought anyone with him.
"I don't have confidence," replied Jiang Ning honestly.
In the past, Jiang Ning wouldn't have been worried even if he was going to a place he had never been to before. He believed in
his prowess and believed that he could do anything that he put his mind to. But this passageway was different. It was completely
different. It was a completely unknown territory.
"But I'm not going alone." He glanced at Liu Chuandao. "There's still one more person."
Liu Chuandao looked behind him. There was nobody there.
"Don't tell me you want to bring me along?" He burst out laughing rather helplessly. He was just joking with Jiang Ning. His level
of martial arts was pretty high, but it was nothing compared to Jiang Ning. It was useless for Jiang Ning to bring him along.
Suddenly, Liu Chuandao's expression became very serious. A tinge of surprise flashed in his eyes along with some disbelief.
"Wait, you mean you..."
Jiang Ning nodded. "That's right."
He didn't say it out loud, but Liu Chuandao had guessed as much.
"Are you sure? This is akin to walking alongside a tiger! That's even more dangerous! That's even more dangerous than the road
to finding the Longevity Pond!"
'Tm sure," said Jiang Ning. "This is the only way. I'm missing some information, but he knows those things. We have to work
together in order to locate the Longevity Pond."
"As for what happens after we find the pond, we'll see about it when it happens."
Liu Chuandao was right to say that this was akin to walking alongside a tiger. But there was no other choice.
Jiang Ning drank his tea and stood up again.
"I've come to tell you that Fang Qiu and the others would definitely be worried about me going in by myself. When they come in,
help me to block them from going any further." The one who knew the people around himself the best was none other than Jiang

Ning.
He knew what Fang Qiu and the wolves were thinking about. They were all going to secretly sneak past the mountain gate after
he had come in first. That was really dangerous. Jiang Ning knew that they had good intentions, but he still didn't want them to
risk their lives with him.
Liu Chuandao laughed bitterly.
Block them?
He didn't think he could really block any of them. He knew their temperament.
Besides, he wanted to help Jiang Ning too. He didn't want Jiang Ning to face such perils all by himself either.

He didn't refuse, because he couldn't anyway.
Jiang Ning nodded and left. Liu Chuandao could only sigh and wish Jiang Ning all the best.
It didn't seem like he could do anything else.
Jiang Ning left Qingshan Sect and headed north all the way till he reached the northern region.
He reached that lake once again and
looked out at the calm surface of the water as he said, "It's been three years. You're getting impatient, aren't you? Looks like you
made the right guess about me."

A violent ripple ran through the lake as the surface of the water began to roil furiously. The waters churned like it was boiling.
Eight huge chains emerged from the bottom of the lake as the bronze coffin came to the surface, splashing water in all
directions.
KA KA KA!

The lid of the coffin slowly slid to one side, making an ear piercing screeching noise. Anybody who saw this scene would feel all
their hair stand on end. Jiang Ning stood where he was. He didn't seem affected and his expression was calm. He was long used
to this.
Actually, he had come to the
northern region several times over
the last three years to ask Greedy Wolf a number of questions. If Liu Chuandao heard about this, be might find it too hard to
believe.
"Humph! I just knew you would come. I knew your weakness right from the start," a voice came from within the coffin. It was the
voice of Greedy Wolf.
The Mr Lang of the past had already torn off his gentlemanly disguise and no longer needed to pretend.

The lid of the coffin was fully opened and Greedy Wolf sat up to meet with Jiang Ning's eyes across the lake. His eyes were as
cloudy as ever, but they stared even more deeply into Jiang Ning's.
"There's no way you can run from
repaying the kindness of others. This is exactly how sentimental characters like yourself will die." Greedy Wolf stood up and
looked at Jiang Ning. Tve waited so long for you. How's it? Are you ready to beg me now?"
