Betrayal At the Altar by Dolores Delia

Chapter 45

Chapter 450
“I can agree to any condition...” Rachel dragged out the end of her sentence. There was a hint of contemplation in her eyes.
“Then let Olivia confess.”
Louis’s face darkened. He secretly gritted his teeth. “Rachel, can you be reasonable? Are you going to ruin Olivia’s life just
because of such trifle?”
When Olivia heard this, her face turned pale and she shouted in a panic, “Louis...”
Louis glanced at her, signaling her to be at ease. Then, he said to Rachel on the phone in a charitable tone, “Rachel, why don’t
we both take a step back? As long as you and the couple in Pollister withdraw the lawsuit, the Cruise family promises to give
them generous compensation and will always support them.”
Hearing this, Rachel laughed softly.
The laughter entered Louis’s ears, making him frown and feel frustrated.
“Why should we both take a step back? Shouldn’t a person pay the price for doing something wrong? Louis, didn’t you say that
you know me the best? Then you should know that I’m cold-hearted and unreasonable.” Rachel said unhurriedly with a
terrifyingly cold tone, “Olivia provoked me repeatedly. She should have thought of the consequences! She deserved it! I’ll give
you one last piece of advice.. Instead of wasting time here, you might as well go find a better lawyer!”
Louis’s well-defined face was as cold as ice. His black eyes narrowed slightly. “Rachel, you’re openly going against the Cruise
family! The Cruise family won’t let you off!”
Rachel’s face was expressionless. She raised her hand and casually brushed her hair. “The current Cruise family is struggling at
death’s door. If they insist on dying, I don’t mind making the Cruise family disappear in Seaxas!”
“Rachel...”
Before he could finish speaking, the call was hung up.
Louis’s expression was extremely gloomy. His knuckles were pale as he gripped his phone tightly.
Olivia, sitting on the sofa, looked at him with tears in her eyes. She pursed her lips, sniffed, and said pitifully, “Louis, Rachel still
won’t let me go?”

Louis didn’t say anything. He just looked at her deeply.
Olivia lowered her eyes and tears fell in big drops. “I didn’t know that things would turn out like this. Lily said that Rachel was her
sister and kept hinting to me that Rachel had made a mistake and was expelled from the family. Out of curiosity, I asked a few
more questions. Who knew that Lily would get the wrong idea? I’m also responsible for the way things have turned out.”
“I thought now that I had Rachel’s weakness and could help you manipulate her
in the future. But in the end, I made things worse...”
The huge office was filled with Olivia’s sobbing. Louis’s frown deepened. He suppressed the impatience and frustration in his
heart and slowly walked forward. “The most important thing now is to find a reliable lawyer to minimize your losses.”
“Alright, I’ll contact my lawyer now.” Olivia wiped her tears and took out her phone to make a call.
In the blink of an eye, it was the day of the trial for the campus bullying case at Pollister High School.
On the same day, Rachel, Jessica, Mary, and Linda all came to the scene.
Jessica was a model, so her face was not unfamiliar to everyone.
When they saw her, the reporters rushed forward with their cameras.
“Jessica, what do you have to say about the continuous dirt on you on Twitter?” “It’s been so many days since the incident
happened, but as the person involved, you didn’t deny it. Does that mean you’ve acquiesced to everything?”
“I’m sorry, my client is not accepting any interviews.” Adrian stepped forward at the right time and left with Jessica.
At ten o’clock, the court officially began its session.
