If it was up to him, Kellan would have died. Hunter would surely kill him in the
worst way possible without even consulting this with anyone, once they had
managed to squeeze all the information out of his mouth. All he needed to do
was to issue an order and everything would be done without him even raised his
finger.
However, this matter was different now because it involved Lilac. He was still her
father. Her real father that she didn’t remember she had.
It tickled his conscience if he had to kill Kellan without letting Lilac knew the truth
first. Kellan was a traitor and the punishment suit his crime, but it didn’t sit well
with him when Lilac was still in the dark about this fact. He didn’t want to see her
sad in the future because she lost her chance to know her father.
More so, it would put their relationship in an awkward situation if she learned
later on that he was the one, who killed her father.
Hunter simply didn’t want Lilac to feel deceived, because that was not his
intention at all. Therefore, he needed to talk about this before the execution
happened.
Her feeling about this matter was truly important for him, therefore... if only, by
any chance, she wanted them to be pardoned, Hunter would seriously consider
that. He could understand.
Because in the end of the day, not everyone could be crazy enough like him, who
was willing to kill his own father. He how that felt. Even though he did it for a
good intention, but he had to live with that fact for the rest of his life and he didn’t
Lilac to endure the same feeling.
Hunter could only sigh deeply that this woman would be the death of him... but

missing. Hunter was only being very generous with his choice of word. “l was
being abandoned.”
Hunter hugged her, because he couldn't deny that. There was some truth in there
and Lilac would think he saw her as a fool if he refuted that.
In the end, the alpha simply held her close to his chest and kiss her forehead.
“When do you want to see him?” Their body fit with each other, as if they were
made for one another. If the lycan had a mate bond, then Hunter mate would be
this woman in his arms.
“I want to see him now, is it possible?” Lilac asked casually, she didn’t think she
could hold it back any longer and wanted this matter to end immediately.

After saying that, the two of them didn’t immediately get up and get dressed, but
they simply stayed like that for another two hours, until Lilac had gathered the
courage she needed to face the person, who had thrown her away.
Hunter helped her to get dressed because a woman dress could be complicated,
but the main reason was because he wanted to have an excuse to touch her

Lilac laughed at his attempt and this made their mood lightened a little bit.
After that, Hunter took her to the dungeon, where they held Kellan, Grace and
Tania. They would wait for the execution, but the date had not been settled yet.
The smelly scent of blood and foul smell of the dungeon hit their nose when they
walked past the first security post.
“There is no need to follow us.” Hunter stopped the guard, who would come with
them inside because whatever conversation Lilac would have with her father, it

joke, but even for herself that joke sounded very bitter. “I should stop making a
joke. I have a bad sense of humor.”
Hunter chuckled at that. “You are funny even when you are only breathing.”
“Are you trying to mock me?”
“No. You can take that as a compliment.”
“How it supposed to sound like a compliment?” Lilac frowned, but then there was
this smile on the corner of her lips.
“I like your beautiful smile better.”
“You always make me want to smile.”
