Today, Alec is coming home after 8 weeks away. As soon as he turned 18, ten months ago, he left to join a company named “Team L”. It’s a company who proposes its services to help any supernatural creatures. He already had two missions as Gamma in two packs. Now he is on a rescue mission. He chose to do that to learn to be a better Gamma for my Luna. I knew he wanted to be my Gamma more than my Beta. Emmet our Gamma’s son will be my Beta and he was really proud I chose him.

Gideon, my father’s Beta, never had his own pup as it never worked with his mate. They adopted 2 pups 5 years ago but the older one is 8 now and they don’t have a Beta’s wolf. So he doesn’t have any heist to take is the position. I’m not officially the Alpha yet even if I started to work as one 2 years and a half ago. I’m working with my father and more time passes more tasks and responsibilities I have. I will be the Alpha in 2 years and a half as the training is 5 years. I didn’t meet my mate yet but I’m not traveling a lot as I’m more focused on how my pack works. Next year, I will be traveling to meet our allies and hopefully meet her.

Anyway, today Alec is coming back home after 8 weeks without seeing him and 6 without any news. He just called yesterday to say he will come back today with his boss. He asked if she could stay for a few days with us. I will have a few words with her about my little brother's safety and to tell her that I don’t want to stay 6 weeks without hearing anything from him. My parents were worried sick and were ready to send a rescue mission after him. This is unacceptable!

So here I am, waiting for them and pacing in my office. I hate waiting! You know it’s like when you have an appointment or a flight to take and you still have time but not enough to do anything just enough to bore to death... so much that if you’re not careful you will be late at the end. Goddess, I hate that! Suddenly we, my wolf and I, feel him cross the border. A few seconds later one of the patrollers mind-links me to let me know they will be at the packhouse in 10 minutes. And I’m already outside waiting for them. I hope for his boss that Alec is in one piece if not she should start to run. Here a car arrives, Alec always told us how an amazing boss she is, we will see that now. My parents are waiting for them by my side. As I see Alec getting out of the car, I run to hug him.

“Don’t you dare ever stay, again, so long without giving us any news asshole!” I tell him as he hugs me back.

“Anton!” Our mother scolds.

Alec chuckles: “ Good to see you too, brother!”

“He’s right, honey!” Our father says.

“Did you just say one of our sons was an asshole?” Mom asks him crossing her arms.

“I wouldn’t dare honey! I just agree with the fact he should give us news at least once a week as we dealt before he left.” Dad replies almost scared of mom. Yes, she can be scary and you don’t want to be on her bad side.

“Actually, it’s my fault. Our rescue mission was in Amazonia and I thought it would take us only two weeks. And I broke our satellite phone after 10 days. I’m really sorry.” A beautiful voice says in our back.

I feel my wolf stirs in my mind as we hear that voice. I decide to turn around to see who that voice belongs to. Fuck me! Who is this goddess?

“Indeed, I would like to be fucked by her.” My wolf says sending me images of her and us in the wood.

I’m troubled, he troubles me. Never he peeps any interest of any female. We are waiting for our mate I didn’t even ever kiss a girl and here he is, well we are trouble by some woman that we don’t know and who is clearly not my mate. How is it even possible?!

“What’s wrong with you? What about waiting for our mate?” I ask him.

“I don’t know. There is something about her that is calling me, us. I don’t know what is it but I don’t want to fight it!” I reply.

“Well, I do!” I tell him before shutting him out. I didn’t wait almost 20 years of my life not dating to fail now.

“I thought your boss was coming with you not one of your colleagues?”

“She is my boss. Anna-Lynn Keystone this my parents Alpha Alaric and Luna Alicia and this is my brother Anton.”

“Nice to meet you all and thank you for letting me stay a few days.” She says smiling.

Wow, her smile is mind-blowing. I wish I could hear how her laugh sounds. I’m sure it should the sweetest music in the world. Damn Anton! Focus!

“But you’re too young to own your own company already.” Dad says.

“I’m 19! I created my company when I was 16.” She says annoyed.

“What about your parents?” He asks crossing his arms and pushing his aura toward her, not liking the way she is speaking to him.

“I have his support and his trust!” She replies normally. If my father’s aura is bothering her she is hiding it very well.

“She is not bothered at all. It’s the first time I see that!” My wolf says in awe. He is right. Wait I thought I had shut him out! Sneaky wolf!

“Keystone, are you related to Alpha Chris?” Mom asks.

“He is my father, Luna.” She replies.

“I didn’t know that Alpha Chis has a daughter but I can understand why he wants to hide you. You’re such beauty!” Mom adds.

“He adopted me few years ago.”

“What about your real parents?”

“They are just strangers Luna.” She replies looking close off. She doesn’t like to speak about them.

“Come on Lilly, I will show you your room.” Alec says, saving her from my parents questions.

“Thank you! I feeling really tired. Alpha, Luna, Anton.” She says.

Her saying my name sends a shiver in my back. I see Alec puts his hand on her lower back to guide her toward the house and I feel jealous! Goddess I really need to avoid her as much as I can. This woman is driving me crazy!

“Hey brother, I was looking for you!” Alec tells me when I cross him in the kitchen.

“Hey lil’ bro, what’s up?” I ask him.

“Can we talk somewhere more privately?”

“Sure, lets go in my office. what’s going on?” I ask worry now.

“Do you have a problem with Anna-Lynn?” He asks me after I closed the door.

“No!! What’s a crazy idea!” I deny.

I don’t have any problems at all. I’m just avoiding her since she arrived two days ago, even if it means to leave the room she just enters without saying anything and not eating with my family if she is eating with them. But everything is perfectly fine.

“Do you think I’m an idiot? So what’s your problem?” He asks not believing me.

“What is she?” I ask him curious and avoiding to answer him.

“I don’t know. She is really secretive and she just starts to trust me. The only thing I can tell you is she is not human and she is not a creature I know. She is a mystery.”

“Specie unknown... interesting.”

“So this is the problem? What she is?” He asks.

Should I tell him?

I sigh:”I’m attracted by her.”

He laughs:” Believe me, it’s happening all the time. You’re not the only one.”

Well that’s pissing me off.

“It’s not the same!” I protest.

“It will pass.” He tells me getting up and ready to leave.

“My wolf is also attracted to her.” I tell him sulking. I want him to understand that what I feel for her is unique.

“Don’t worry, she is leaving tomorrow.” He says before leaving.

What! Already! No! Why the thought to never see her again is killing me... Maybe it’s for the best, I tried to convince myself. But if it’s true why I’m feeling so sad. I can also feel my wolf’s sadness. I need to run, it will help me to clear my mind.

It’s midnight and even if the run helped for a while, it was not enough. Everything is quiet in the house as everyone is sleeping. I decide to go in the gym to relieve the pression. I didn’t expect to meet her there.

“Hey Anton, trouble to sleep?” She says.

“Hey, yes. You too?” I ask.

She nods.

“We can wrestling together if you want.” She proposes.

“Sure.”

We are fighting for 40 minutes and she is really good! Still it was a really bad idea as my wolf is sharing with me a lot of indecent images of her, of us. This is driving me crazy and I can feel my wolf trying to take control. Suddenly she tackles me in the floor and sits on me. As I’m surprised by this movement, my wolf takes the opportunity to take the full control. With his full force, he tackles her in turn.

“Why are you hiding your true self?” He asks her.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She denies surprised to meet my wolf I guess.

“Don’t lie to me, I can feel it and it’s exciting me.” He replies closing the distance between us and let her feeling how excited we are.

Goddess kill me now!

She gasps:” This is not right!”

“Maybe but you’re not pushing me away and we both know you could easily.”

“I’m not your mate!” She says still not trying to freed herself.

“Still, there is a pull between us. Don’t tell me you don’t feel it, your heart is beating beautifully fast.” He says smelling her neck and I see her shivering. Goddess, He is right!

I succeed to take the control of my body back and freed her before putting distance between us.

“The pull I’m feeling right now, does it happen often to you?” I ask.

Please tell me no.

“Never. It’s never happened before, not even with my mate.” She says looking at the floor.

“It’s so powerful!”

“I know but it doesn’t change anything. I’m not your mate and I will not let another mate be rejected like I did.” She adds before leaving.

So she had a mate and that foul rejected her. Dumb ass!

“Do you still want to fight it?” My wolf asks.

I shake my head. It’s too powerful to fight it anyway.

She left early the next morning before I could even see her. I just know this is not over. We will meet again Anna-Lynn and I will fight for you. The Moon Goddess has mistaken herself because you should be my mate, I have no doubts about that.
