“Where are you going?” Anton asks me when I’m getting up form our bed.

“To get ready for tonight. I need a shower I stink.” I tell him.

“You smell like me, you don’t stink.” He shrugs.

“And sex!” I say walking in the bathroom

“I like the way you smell. It should remind everyone who you belong to.” He says from the bed.

“You know I find it hot how possessive you are right now.” I tell him turning on the shower.

“Really?” He whispers to my ear.

He kisses my jaw and I moan.

“Let me show you again to who and where you belong.” He says entering me again.

“You are we insatiable!” I say.

“Why you’re not?” He says chewing my neck.

“You almost claimed me earlier. What did you stop?” I ask him while putting my necklace.

“The same thing that stops me the last time.” He says coming behind me to attach it.

“Thank you! Which is?”

“You would have let me mark you, don’t you? Why?” He asks me instead of answering me.

“Because I don’t think you will die if you do. I’m bearing your child when I was not supposed to be able. So I think it’s the Moon Goddess’s blessing for our mating. And you are changing I can feel it. Your wolf didn’t surface while we had sex. Normally he is always coming out.”

“But he was there all the times, even more than usual.”

“But he doesn’t speak to you anymore.”

Anton nods:” But he is more present. Before we were sharing the same body now we also share the same spirit.”

“Just like me.” I reply.

“Then I’m becoming a Lycan like you?”

“I think so. Werewolves are two in the same body. I’m one in two bodies. I don’t know if I’m clear.”

“You’re, my love.” He says.

“By the way, you didn’t answer my question. Why did you stop before to mark me?”

“For the same reason, I did in the wood. I don’t think I will die and indeed our daughter is a blessing from the Moon Goddess even if we don’t need it. It’s us against the world! Anyway, I didn’t mark you because I know I will become a Lycan when I will.”

“You don’t want to?” I ask worriedly about his answer.

“Can you let me finish! So impatient!” He says smiling. “Where was I? I will turn into a Lycan, but how long does it will take? Will I be insouciant while I am changing? We don’t know. Tomorrow you’re revealing yourself to the world and I have to be here. So marking you can wait until everything is calmer. And marking me also will wait. For the same reason.”

“I promised you I will not mark before you do. So you know I will not.”

“I know.” He replies

“Maybe we can mark each other at the same time... If you are a good girl.” He says with his signature smirk.

“Wow! Lucky me!” I say rolling my eyes and hiding my smile.

“I know!” He says with a proud smile.

“You’re impossible!” I say shaking my head.

“This is why you love me, darling.”

“Let’s go or we will be late.” I tell him.

“It’s your fault you spent too much time in the bathroom.” He teases me.

“You can speak you spent more time in than me!” I joke him back.

As we walk in the packhouse. I don’t see Alec or Collin. So I ask Anton.

“It’s a surprise party so they are already there. You will have to be more suspicious if we all ask you to come. My job was to bring you there with a fake excuse. But Noah kind of screwed my job.”

“Don’t worry I’m a good actress. What was your fake excuse?”

“A date with my beautiful mate.” He replies caressing my cheek.

“Oooh!!! That’s so cute!”

“I’m not doing cute princess, I’m only doing hot and sexy!” He scoffs.

“Then you need to plan a hot and sexy date soon Love because now I want a date with you!” He replies pecking his lips.

“Next week? It’s working for you?” He asks me in a formal tone.

“I have a busy agenda but for you, I will always find the time.” I reply as formally as he is.

“I love you, darling!” He says.

We crossed the border 10minutes ago and I’m really curious to see where the party will be. If I cross a magic portal I will feel it. So I guess they found a place close to the pack. But I don’t hear or smell anything. In the same, Meli can have cast a spell to hide them.

“Don’t think too much princess, just enjoy.” Anton tells me.

“You’re right. I’m just impatient.” I reply.

“Do you trust me?” He asks.

“Is that even a question? Of course, I do!”

“Close your eyes and let me guide you.”

I do as he asked and I’m feeling him taking my hand. We walk like that for 5 more minutes when suddenly I feel a switch around us. I want to open my eyes but I’m waiting for him to tell me I can. This is so quiet and peaceful. For sure we are in the right place but where are the people?

“You can open your eyes now princess.” He tells quietly as if he doesn’t want to disturb the peace we are feeling now.

Finally! I know I’m really impatient but after last month I need this.

“Wow!” I whisper.

It’s so beautiful, we are in the middle of the forest but there are lights falling from the trees. There are flowers everywhere and a huge table in U. They’ve made it huge! This is awesome.

“That’s beautiful, but this is a big table for 2!” I say raising an eyebrow. I want them to believe I didn’t know before and Noah didn’t let the cat out of the bag.

As I looked at my feet, I realize they are not touching the floor. Melinda loves nature and she uses her powers mainly to save the earth. She casts a protection spell for sure.

“It’s because you will not be alone tonight!” Meli says behind my back.

As we turn around people scream: “Surprise!”

There is a banner saying:” Welcome back! We missed you!”. There are 35-40 people, mainly my family and my closest friends.

“Mommy! Daddy!” Duncan screams running toward us. Anton kneels and opens his arms for him.

“I miss you so much, cowboy!” Anton says hugging him.

“Grandpa said you will be living with us all the time now. Is that true?” Duncan asks with hope.

“Yes, I don’t want to be without you. It’s too difficult.” Anton replies. They are still hugging each other. That’s so cute.

“I thought I was the guess of honor! Where is my hug?” I say faking sadness.

They both look at me and say in the same voice: “Lilly’s sandwich!”

And like that they both hug me one on each side.

“What you can do Lilly’s sandwich without me!”Darius says coming hugging us.

“And I.” says Alec.

“Me too!” Dad adds.

In a few seconds, I suffocated in a big group hug and I love that.

“Enough! I love her and even more when she is breathing.” Anton jokes.

“It’s nice to see you where you should be Anton. It was about time!” Dad tells him.

“I know it took me too much time Alpha Chris. I’m slow sometimes.”

“You know you can call me Chris.”

“I know you but you said until I hurt her. And I did hurt this time.” Anton says in shame.

“It’s okay I understand. I was a crazy possessive mate once.” Dad says with sadness in his eyes.

“Can I speak to you in private, please?” Anton asks him.

Dad nods: “Follow me.”

“Thanks.”

“Let’s follow them to see what Anton wants to ask Dad.” Darius tells me.

“Do you know the definition of private?” I ask him ironically.

“Please! I’m sure you’re as curious as I’m.” He replies.

“I’m trying to be an adult. You should try once.” I say.

“Nope! Look boring!”

“Or you’re the guest of honor and you can’t disappear without being unnoticed.” Veronica says.

“V! You’re supposed to be on my side always!” I put.

“Well, I’m bearing his child so he overcomes you now.”

“Na!” Darius says childish. I stick my tongue.

“You’re sure you want a second child already?” I tease V.

“I know it will be a lot of work but it will worst it. And like that Darius will have someone to play with. After a month with Duncan, I can see he needs one to play with him.” She says smiling proud of her joke.

“Hey!” Darius protests.

“I need to speak to you.” I tell her.

“I know.” She replies with a huge smile.

“So you know! He told you.” I say not happy.

She laughs:” He spoke while sleeping. He tried to deny it but he can’t lie to me. We will speak later now it’s not the right time.”

“You’re right I have a party to enjoy!”I say.

The party is great. The canapés are marvelous. There is relaxing music in the back. Anton didn’t leave my side since he went back after his talk with dad. Suddenly I hear him growl. When I look in the same direction he is looking at, I see Aiden, Elena, Kaiden, Liam and his parents.

“What are you doing here?” He asks dryly.

“We came in peace. We just want to present our apologies to Melinda.” Liam says.

“No other reason?” Anton replies.

“I’m not here for Anna-Lynn, I’m here for my family, nothing else.” Liam replies.

“Good, because she is mine!” Anton says hugging me.

“She isn’t even your true mate!” Liam scoffs.

“She is my soul!” Anton replies.

“It’s the same thing.” Liam says.

“No it’s stronger.” Anton retorts.

“He is right I’m his soul as much as he’s mine.” I say.

Liam rolls his eyes and sighs annoyed.

“I don’t mind you staying but don’t create any problems with any of my guests.” I tell him.

“We won’t.” Alpha Franck promises.

Aiden, Elena, and Kaiden approach us while Liam and his parents walk away towards Alistair and Melinda. Alistair is wary but everybody here will have his back.

“We came because Kaiden is dying to meet his cousin.” Aiden tells us.

Elena laughs: “ Only him? It’s nasty to use your own kid as an excuse.”

“Okay, I really want to meet him too. Please?” Aiden confesses.

“Pretty Please auntie Lilly, with a cherry on top.” Kaiden adds and I smile.

I look at Anton to see if he agrees to let them meet him. He nods.

“Follow me, he is playing on the back with the other kids.” I tell them.

We are now sitting and enjoying the diner. Anton is sitting on my left and Dad on my right. Collin is in front of me with Aiden and Elena on his right. The next two seats on his left are empty. All the kids are eating at the same table, enjoying the party between them.

“Do you know where is my brother? The diner started half an hour ago.” Anton asks me.

“Alix arrives while you were speaking with my dad. They both disappeared shortly after.” I tell him.

“Lucky bastard!” He replies.

“You can’t be jealous we spent most of the time in bed today.”

“It was not enough. I can’t wait to go back to our room” He whispers.

“Speaking of your brother, here he comes.”Dad says.

“Sorry, we add an emergency meeting.” Alec says as Alix and he are sitting next to Collin.

“It’s how it’s called nowadays?” Dad teases them and Alix blushes.

“She was smelling filthy males! Some reminders was needed.” Alec defenses themselves.

“Of course!” Dad grants.

“Collin this my mate Alix, Alix this is Collin soon to be family.” Alex says.

“What? Nice to meet you Collin. Alec spoke a lot about you and I hope to meet your little angel soon. He told me she was adorable.” Alix says.

“Nice to finally meet you, Alix. Harper is with her grandparents, you will meet her next time. I heard so much about you! I must say I can’t wait to see you shift.” Collin says not hiding his excitement.

We are now drinking coffee and tea. I’m now sitting with Meli, Alistair, Darius, V, Collin, Alix, and Anton. Dad and Alec are playing football with the kid.

“Where is your sister?” I ask Alix.

“We are in the middle of an investigation. 11 women disappeared in the last 2 years in Washington State. Ainhoa and I have the same profile as the victims, so we are baits. She is a bar in Index. It’s a small town. We are following this case for 3 months and we are getting close now. This is why she didn’t come. At least, one of us has to stay.” She explains.

“And she is alone. Is it not dangerous?” Collin asks.

“She can handle herself. And we have a safety chip in the arm. If there is any problem she will activate it.”

“Still... what if she loses conscious before she can activate it?” Collin says.

I wonder if it’s his wolf who is feeling already worried for his mate.

“You know what? I think he is right we should check on her just in case.” Alistair says excitedly.

“Great idea! Let’s go!” Alec says in our back.

“Sweet cheek, can you open a portable? Or We can ask Bella if you’re too tired.” Alistair asks Meli.

“The hell I can. I will not miss the show!” she replies.

“Let’s go now!” I say impatiently.

“Come on bro!” Alec says to Collin.

“I’m missing something?” Alix asks.

“You will understand soon.” Alec tells her.

We follow Meli in the wood not so far from the party. In less than 5 minutes we are all in front of a creepy bar in Index. I don’t even know if it’s a legal one.

“Do you smell that?” Collin asks us.

We all share a knowing look, except Alix and Collin.

“Let’s go in.” Anton says.

“Just enjoy the show my gift!” Alec tells Alix.

I see Alistair taking his phone ready to record everything. As we enter the bar, I spot Ainhoa right away. She is speaking with a man on the bar. Well speaking... more flirting. She lets him believe she is drunk.



“Do you think he is involved in the desperations?” Alec asks Alix.

“Not so sure, why?” She replies.



“I hope not because her cover is going to blow soon.”He tells her.

“What!? Why?” She asks him puzzled.



Alec doesn’t answer, he just nods his head toward Collin. Collin who is frozen in the middle of the bar. He is fixing Ainhoa not believing what he is seeing. Suddenly he realizes there is another man flirting with her and he turns red of anger starting to walk towards them. Oh!!! This should be fun.

“What do you think about coming home with me sweetie?” The man asks her.



Before she can answer, Collin, who is now behind her, says: “I don’t think so and if you want to leave this place alive, I would advise leaving now!” His voice is deeper than usual, his wolf is not far from taking over. 



“No way!” Alix says smiling, happy for her sister.



“Who do you think you... Holy fuck!” Ainhoa says looking at Collin.



“That’s right “sweetie”, you’re mine! You should not be drunk with other males, you don’t know what can happen.” Collin says.



“I saw her first buddy, so move!” The man says.



“Move dumbass!” Ainhoa tells him before Collin can do anything.



When he left, she turns toward Collin and adds: “First I’m not drunk, I’m in the middle of a mission. Mission you just blew off by the way. Secondly, I can handle myself, If you see me shift you will be running away mate.”



“Oh shit! You’re Alix’s sister.” He says with pride already falling for her. “My mate is an amazing shifter!”



“Who are you?” She asks.

“Sorry for not introducing myself. I’m Collin, Gamma of the Primus Pack.” He says.



“Oh! You’re the one who mated with his twin’s mate.”



“That’s correct.” He sighs defeat.



“Sorry, It was not nice of me. I shouldn’t have say that.” Ainhoa says ashamed.



“Well, that’s true. If you know that, you should also know I’m not alone. I have a baby girl.” He replies.



“I know, Harper is her name, right?”



“Yes... And her biological mother already rejected her so I need to make sure she comes first. I know it’s not fair for you but we are a package, you have to accept both of us.” I say.



“I..Uhm, I...” Ainhoa stutters.


“Don’t worry I get it. It’s a huge responsibility you don’t ask for and don’t want. I’m sorry. You can reject me if you want I will understand.” He says sadness in his voice.

“NO!” She screams.

“It’s not that but what if she is the one who rejected me? What are we going to do? I don’t care you have a kid, I will be glad to be her mother. It’s just what if she doesn’t like me. Or when we will have our own kids what if she feels excluded? I don’t want to hurt her more.” She continues speaker fast but more quietly.

“Oh!!! You stupid dumbass!” Alix whispers softened by her sister’s worries.

“Together we will face everything. And I’m sure she will love you!” Collin tells her relieved.

She nods and says: “Damn you smell so good!”

Collin laughs: “ You smell heavenly! It’s because I want you to see me as a gentleman if not I would be sniffing you like a dog!” He half-jokes and she laughs.

“Can I see your wolf?” She asks him when she finishes laughing.

“Only if I can see your shift too!” He says.

“Fine but you first! Let’s go out of here.”

We follow them through the woods. They’re so focused on each other that I’m not even sure they know we are behind them. Collin turns first in his beautiful grey wolf. Then she turns in her T-rex. She is so huge!

“Dude, how can you turn on by a dinosaur?” Alec teases him.

“What?! What are you doing here? She may be a dinosaur but she’s my mate, of course, I’m turned on. Mind your own business!” Collin says putting his hands in front of his mid-section.

Ainhoa screams in her T-rex form and Alix bursts out of laugh.

“You can understand what she is saying! You need to teach me.” Collin says amazed.

“What did she say?” Anton asks.

“She said you’re just teasing because you’re jealous! His reaction is so much better than yours. He didn’t run away like a chicken.” Alix translates for us.

We all laugh. Ainhoa “speaks” again.

“Yes, yes we are going!” Alix replies to her.

She looks at us and adds: “ She wants us to leave. She is complaining about how nosy we are and about as she just met her mate she has the right to have some privacy.”

“Call me, when you want to go back, I will open a portal.” Meli tells them.

“Kids enjoy! Don’t do something I wouldn’t do.” Darius says.

I laugh at him.
