Alpha's Second Chance

ENZO

I had spent a few hours talking with Rose, and when it was time I hung up and went to meet Logan as planned. He looked calm when I met him in the room connecting our bedrooms.

"I am guessing that you have been doing the same as me." He chuckles.

"Yes, haha. Rose said that they were good, and Noah insisted on staying with her while I was gone," I said, and he chuckled.

"He is very protective of her. He has been since they were children. That's why we had to ask Greta for help to control the Alpha power in him. If a kid teased Rose, he would use his command to make them do as he asked, to say sorry." Logan tells me.

"Really?" I asked, shocked.

"Yes, you have seen the bracelet he has on?" Logan ask.

"Yes. It's a nice one. Fitted for a guy, too." I say.

"It contains the seal of his Alpha powers. It was sealed with magic and was unable to be removed until he turned sixteen. That is why I would have two years to teach him to control it. I ask him to wear it when we don't train, and specifically when I am not at home. As I am the only one that still has the ability to stop him." Logan tells me.

"I have always seen him as a good kid," I say.

"Oh, he is, he is. But it's a lot of power. And I doubt when he turns eighteen that I can stop him. He is the true king, after all. The one to rule over all, not just America. I have no doubt he will be a good and fair king. But it is a lot to put on a teen." Logan says, and I nod my head.

"I promise I will help as well as I can," I tell him, and Logan smiles.

"You are a good man Enzo, I am happy Rose met you, despite all this crap." He says, and we leave to go for dinner.

LOGAN

It was not like I felt like having to sit at this dinner and acting politely when two of the people at the table were trying to hurt Rose and Enzo. But I on the other side, didn't want to abuse the help the French Alpha was giving us to solve this shit.

The Alpha had been wise enough to place us at each our end of the table, and we were sitting in the seats next to the Alpha. Then, his beta gamma and their mates, and across from us was his family. His Beta and

Gamma were talking with Enzo, and they seemed to get along well.

Alpha Louis and I were talking about the usual Alpha stuff, about being the king. When a laugh sounds from the other side of the table, and we all look at Alpha Carlos.

"Having a king is pointless. I have heard about this true king bullshit. And let me just say I will never bow to a kid just because he is a king. We don't need a kid to make peace between us wolves in the world." Carlos laughs.

"I think the idea of all the wolves in the world in peace under one leading king. Maybe we could end up with fewer rouges." Alpha Louis says, and Carlos laughs again.

"I rule Italy, not some king that doesn't know our country, and as long the two other Alphas don't overstep, let them be. They know keeping peace is in everyone's

interest, so I don't need to kill. el. ne

anyone." Carlos says as he looks at me. Trying to make me and Enzo react, but I open my mindlink to Enzo.

'Don't answer.' I say. And I turn my head back to my food.

"Much like your father, he should not have taken my mate just because she chose him over me. Look where they ended, dead, by my bare hands, along with your two siblings. Oh well, you know the story." Carlos says, laughing.

That is it, his taunting became too much, and Enzo flew up, Next to him faster than he could react, and I grabbed his neck, pulling him up, and smashing him against the wall. He tries to get free by kicking Enzo, but he evades him and kicks him between the legs.

"Don't you ever speak of my parents again? Be happy that you are alive. That I didn't kill you those years ago when I worked my way up to get close to you. Stop messing with my life, and I will leave you alone in your miserable, pathetic life. You can keep the territory. I will even sign a fucking piece of paper if it means you will, you will leave me alone." Enzo sneers at him.

"Enzo, let him go, now," I say, and it's not a command, this time, but he lets go

anyway. And he turns to Alpha Louis and bows deeply.

"My apologies, Alpha. I never wanted to disrespect your kind help and hospitality. I

am really sorry." Enzo says, keeping his head bowed.

"Apology accepted, my boy." He says and looks at Carlos.

"You, on the other hand, are all here to get results, and I don't appreciate that you

disrespect my guests. I think this dinner is over." Alpha Louis says.

I told him to go back to our suite, while I stayed behind to talk with Alpha Louis.

He did as I was told and left.

Not long after I am lying in my bed. Thinking about what just happened, and wishing that Liv was here, to calm me. And I fall asleep with my beautiful mate in my thoughts.
