Alpha's Cursed Luna

Chapter 6

ELEANOR

I saw how his eyes dropped down to explore my body and ass tightly hugged by the revealing dress. I would have thought he was undressing me with the way he looked deeply into my eyes down my frozen body.

He had deep cerulean eyes, like the calm blue ocean where the moonlight dances beautifully in the night. His hair was a striking platinum blonde, shoulder length and tied in the middle pulled upward, resembling a warrior god. It didn’t take me long to notice he had pink sexy lips too. He licked the corner of his lips when he caught me staring at his delicious—

What am I thinking? Wake up, Eleanor!

I mentally shake my head.

Don't get carried away now. I couldn't believe I was fantasizing about a guy I literally just met! I wanted to slap myself in that moment. My gaze dropping to the floor.

I saw Dad smile at me like he usually does in the past and holds my hand, bringing me forward to face the god-like man.

"Eleanor, this is Alexander Wade. Alpha of the Red Silverwood Pack.” He points to the man with an open palm.

He was the alpha of our enemy pack. The strongest pack sitting high above the pack ranks whilst ours remained deep below since the last war. My pack can't even be compared to his. Shamefully so. While the Red Silverwood Pack is widely known as one united and peaceful pack, the Blue Mountains Packs wouldn't even pass the criteria for peace and unity, let alone perfection. Compared to them, we are just measly worms thriving in the dirt.

I met his gaze and held it uncomfortably for a few seconds. I gulped and felt a lump form in my throat, rendering me mute.

My lips parted however I was unable to verbalize any word.

The godlike man and alpha of our enemy pack called Alexander looked like he was in a state of shock himself, and we locked eyes with each other for what felt like an awkward moment. His eyes evidently reflected a glint of excitement about them that sent shivers running down my spine. My heart thudded and raced rapidly like the continuous beating drum. Ares didn't feel the slightest need to contain her surging emotions as she suddenly shoved my to the side whilst I almost lost control over my body just because she wanted to gaze upon him with her own eyes. But before she could, I quickly regained full control. Luckily.

Ares must have lost her mind to think of us shifting right in the middle of a crowded place. A silent battlefield disguised with talks of peace and unity among our packs.

Gratefully neither the alpha nor anyone at all seemed to notice.

Ares peered at the enchanting specimen before us once again.

“I doubt he isn't a Greek god. Look at his muscles, his jaw, his wide rock-hard looking chest’ Ares pointed out with a breathy whisper. I mentally rolled my eyes and tried ripping my eyes away from his piercing ones.

“Get your head out of the clouds, Ares! Or did you forget? We're being sold to someone we don't even know!" I reminded her promptly, including myself of course.

Ares fell into silence but I could still feel her eyeing the alpha, sighing dreamily at him which made me want to smack her if only she was not in my head. Oddly, this was the first time Ares had her eyes on anyone before.

Taking a deep breath, I straightened my back and was going to say something when I felt a massive hand extend and insert itself into my right hand. I snapped my head up at him, looking at him straight in the eye as he suddenly bent down and kissed the back of my hand softly. His lips tugged forming a dazzling smile.

I was vaguely aware of the heat that rushed everywhere inside my body. My face blushing. Not only that, my heart was thumping incredibly fast against my chest. I dropped my eyes to the floor, willing the ground to just open up now to swallow me whole, make me disappear from this situation I find myself stuck in.

“It's a pleasure meeting your acquaintance, princess.”

My eyes widened slightly at what I just heard. He called me “princess.” Since when did anyone call me a princess? When I'm a slave to my own pack, and they know it.

I cleared my throat and forced a small smile, as natural as I possibly can.

“Please just call me by my name. I'm Eleanor.” I accepted the handshake with my best-selling elegant smile. The moment our hands came into contact with each other he ripped his hand away from mine, leaving me shocked and dumbfounded as he did. All eyes looked at him in confusion. Some whispered while others murmured their suspicions as they watched as from the fair distance. “That scar on your hand...” He dropped his eyes down my hand hanging in the air. I looked at the tip of the scar that ran all the way up the middle of my chest. What was once a long and deep wound from my father’s beta’s weekly punishment session had turned into a gruesome scar no one dares to lay eyes at for more than a second.

While it is true that my body can heal extremely fast after every wound or injury, it always left me with scars. And that's something that happens rarely to werewolves who can heal pretty damn fast without supposedly leaving not even a trace of that wound. His eyes trailed its way up to the very edge. Goddess knows how he'd react if he saw the multitude of scars and bruises concealed by this skanky dress.

Many scars engraved on my body also resulted from Barbara and Paula's little schemes and pranks, but most of them I got from Beta Mike.

I glanced at Mike who was glaring daggers behind my back before facing Alexander, smiling,

“It's fine. Years of training.”

Lie.

I was never allowed to train with the others. Let alone go to school. My parents had expressed their “concerns” about my future; they were worried my curse will be revealed to the world, and shame my pack.

Alexander furrowed his brows, but didn't say anything more.

Dad placed his hand on top of my shoulder. I was supposed to feel comfort, but all I felt at that moment was pain, disbelief, as well as frustration.

"Our daughter is sadly...without wolf. We wanted to train her well hoping she will soon meet her wolf" Dad said adding the clear disappointment in his tone.

Alexander looked at me in surprise; his eyes were telling me he didn't expect that about me at all.

I sighed, half-expecting for him to look at me in utter disgust. Naturally he would think I was basically human if I passed sixteen and still haven't shifted into my wolf. But instead of seeing that, his face softened as he gazed at me tenderly My heart stopped in that moment, taking in the gentleness and even kindness I felt from this alpha.

Okay, that is highly unexpected.

Alexander arched his lips, forming the most dazzling and genuine smile I've ever seen my entire life. “Well, I hope you meet him soon. When will you turn eighteen?” he asked.

I clenched my fists not realizing I had already included the dress. The cold wind blew brushing my thighs slightly.

I thought I heard Alexander growl low when the man standing beside him, I'm guessing his beta, coughed and stepped forward to me.

“Ahem. Our alpha just asked when you will turn eighteen?” He repeated the question, his eyebrows raising to his hairline as he questioned me.

“Next month,” I gulped.

“I take it Alpha Alexander still hasn't met his mate?” Dad spoke loudly, interrupting the conversation between us three.

The beta threw a nervous glance to Alexander's way and I caught him giving me short glances before his eyes turned to my Dad and nodded.

I noticed my mom stand from her seat and raised one finger to speak.

“In order to express our determination to obtain peace and finally break the ice between us, we decided to offer you a gift!” My mom's voice was overflowing with excitement as her words reverberated through the walls of the meeting room. She awkwardly wrapped her arm around me, pulling me sidewards closer to her.

The next moment my Dad came forward and pulled me to stand right in front of Alexander. I froze. “I would like to give you my one and only daughter, Eleanor as your mate. Consider it a peace offering.” My father smiles at him, and I was incredulous.

I yanked my arm from my Dad in front of the whole pack, earning me a deathly glare from my father as he raised one eyebrow as a warning. Taking two steps back, I shook my head aggressively in defiance, wanting nothing more but to be swallowed up by the floor or just disappear like bubble from this bloody place.

“No!” I practically shouted at them

My father obviously did not look happy about it as he gave me a “how-dare-you" look right at my face.

I gulped but I swore to stand my ground just this one time. Yes, I wanted to leave Blue Mountains Pack. But this is nowhere near what Ares and I have planned! We were supposed to go rogue, not mated to some irresistible, handsome Greek god who suddenly turned up in front of me seven minutes ago!
