Alpha's Cursed Luna

Chapter 32

ELEANOR

Alpha Arragon looked at me straight in the eye, and he didn't blink. Not even once.

"So?" He raised a brow.

I find myself glancing towards Alexander, who looked over me nodding in approval. Bringing my eyes back to Alpha Arragon, I gulped and racked my brain for words.

“I am willing, Alpha.” I said.

Although I'm not sure how I could eradicate his doubts about Mike's unreasonable way of doing and dealing with things, at the very least, I wanted to be able to make a change in my pack. I got to at least try, don't I?

“Very well. Tomorrow, I will be sending my people to observe your old pack. After the investigation is done, we will send for you to face your parents in front of the alliance.”

He stated. The Alliance is a group of ten representatives from each pack, chosen by the moon goddess to pass judgements on the crimes of those in the higher-ups, including alphas.

Nodding in response, I stifled another moan as the sweltering heat began to intensify within me, most especially at the core symbolizing my womanhood

I felt Alexander turn his head towards me, his brows furrowing as he focused on the expression I wore on my face.

Reaching his hand and resting it on my forehead, I watched as his eyes widened slightly before he parted his lips.

"Ellie, you're burning hot!” He concurred, and I felt the heat rush to my face.

I bit my tongue just when I was about to tell him I'm perfectly fine. That this was all nothing and probably only been a side effect of drinking alcohol. To be completely honest, my body had always been intolerant of alcohol ever since I tried to down a bottle of booze back home, in Mike's secret drawers where I found him keep most of his stuff, including his money and other important belongings of his. Out of mindless curiosity, I had stolen one of his heavy drinks, not caring for anything else and I had brought it up to my room, wondering what it may taste like, and hoping that it would, at the very least, alleviate the pain I was going through. In the end, Mike caught me red-handed and eventually he didn’t let me off the hook and punished me again, beating me into a pulp until my body felt like it's been stung with thousands of pins and needles all over me.

I groaned, looking up at Alexander. I bit my tongue, trying to contain the tingling sensation on the spot right in between my legs.

Goddess, his scent smelt oddly stronger and it's taking everything I have within me not to lunge and stradle him between my legs. But then, Alexander stood and left me to my imagination.

“Thanks for the heads up, then.”

Alpha Arragon rose from his seat before he said, "Anytime."

"We'll be heading out first. Thank you for the party, Arragon.”

Arragon smiled.

"It was an honor as well as a pleasure to me, young Alpha. You're very lucky to have found her as a mate," Alpha Arragon cocked his head towards me and winked.

I chewed my lip, looking away and settling my gaze on the plant sitting on the far corner, not wanting them to notice the guilt burning in my eyes this moment.

If only he knew...

No. Goddess knows Alexander isn't lucky to have me as a chosen mate. Goddess knows... what kind of luck I am well capable of bringing into his pack. I hung my head as fear and guilt began to comsume me, clenching my fists that laid on my lap.

Alexander's chuckled heartily and I felt his eyes, piercing into me so intensely I couldn't move.

A man entered the driver's seat while Alex closed the car door with a bang.

"Elijah and Veronyka will be riding in the car behind us.” I stared at him for a few seconds, watching him form a sly smirk as he glanced at the side-view mirror reflecting Elijah's car. I didn't miss the glint of mischief in his cerulean blue eyes which made me furrow my brows in puzzlement.

"What about Adrian?" I asked, making him whip his head towards me, flashing me an unsure look before jamming his hand in his pockets.

"He told me he'll be staying behind for the night. Said he had something he needed to deal with first," His brows furrowed and I could clearly see the worry evident in his eyes. He took out his phone before typing something in the text box. Not long after I heard a ting sound from his phone, but I didn't let my eyes linger on it any longer than necessary.

"He'll be fine. I told two of the guards to stay with him. They'll take him back home in the morning,” I said nothing. I simply nodded in response and returned my gaze to the window.

"We need to get back soon and take you to the pack doctor, you're having a fever" His voice came out soft, evident of worry. Reaching out his hand, he ambled to touch my forehead, making me stop him by blocking my face with my hand gently. Avoiding his gaze, I shook my head.

"I-I'm fine... Just need a little rest that's all,” I said.

I could feel my cheeks burning in intense heat and I started feeling dizzy.

"Are you sure? You look flushed,”

I felt his body move a little closer towards me, forcing me to purse my lips together as I closed my eyes.

"No, please.." Those words came out through a soft, barely audible whisper. I shifted in my seat, wanting to disappear into thin air and escape him. However, my body didn't seem to be on the exact same page. Instead of wanting to escape, my heated body is telling me to yank that tie of his and melt his lips on mine, to draw him closer until there's not a single space left between the two of us. I gulped

Suddenly, I felt breathless. Panting, I reached for the door handle, gripping it tight in my hand. I was sweating.

What is this feeling?

It was cold outside tonight, but why does my body feel like it has been lit on fire?

I averted my gaze from Alexander's face, turning my head to watch the distant trees as the car hit the road and on towards the Red Silvermoon Pack.

Only a few seconds have passed, and I started panting, more aggressively than the past few minutes in that balcony.

I circled my eyes inside the car, finding myself drawn to the most intoxicating scent I've ever come across my entire life. The earthy, masculine scent started to invade my senses, every inch of my being filled with this inexplicably seductive, sexy fragrance refusing to leave my system.

"Eleanor?"

Oddly, I could hear Alexander's voice sounding from what seemed like a far distance, whispering my name over and over and I was completely unaware of what was happening around me.

I groaned, and in a few seconds my body was starting to grow weaker and softer, like jelly. "Eleanor!"

My eyelids grew heavier, and I felt myself give in to the intense heat, burning my body and making me feel utterly vulnerable to my surroundings.

The next thing I know, everything around me went pitch black. However, the rapid rising and falling of my chest had been the only thing forcing me to stay awake. Although my mind only seemed to be half-present, I knew my body was reacting to something alien that invaded my system.

I closed my eyes, my hands searching for something. Something I couldn't seem to get enough of despite not knowing what it was. Groaning, I thought to myself, What the hell is wrong with me?
