Chapter Unveiled 206
Chapter 206
"I didn't bite that hard," Lysander said.
"Well, you still bit me." Elara glared at him. "I was just joking with you, but you always take things so seriously."
"Well, then." Lysander said, "In that case, I'll just go back to being with Daphne."
"Lysander!" Elara didn't expect him to be so ruthless.
He stared at her. "Weren't you joking? Are you going to keep talking nonsense next time?"
"Alright, alright. I won't say anything else." Elara looked at the man in front of her. "Don't you think you're controlling me a little too much? Everyone says that I'm too afraid of you." "Really?" Lysander asked. "How do you know?" Lysander gazed at her, his expression unreadable.
Elara noticed the intensity of his gaze and cleared her throat. "Alright, enough of that. I'm doing this willingly. I'm voluntarily being controlled by my husband. Is that better?"
Knowing that sometimes Lysander could be this way, Elara decided not to push it. She turned to Lysander. "By the way, I haven't seen Crispin in a while. How's he doing?"
Lysander looked at her. Fearing that he might get upset again, Elara quickly explained, "I mean... I haven't seen Juan in a while. I have a meeting in her area in a few days. Maybe I can visit her?" Lysander replied, "I'll go with you."
"Is that alright?" Elara asked. "We hardly ever go out together."
He nodded.

They arrived in the city where Juan was. Crispin came to pick them up. When he saw Elara, he greeted her warmly. "Hello, Elara."
In recent days, Crispin had been helping to take care of Juan. Elara hadn't seen Crispin in a while either. "Long time no see." Crispin said, "Yeah. Things have been busy lately. My family's been pushing for me to get married, so I haven't been to Starfield City much." Crispin's family was in business. He had been following Lysander around all day. Now, he had his own things to take care of.
They ate together and then went to see Juan. It had been a while since Elara had seen Juan, and Juan seemed very happy to see her.
It was clear that while Juan's leg hadn't fully healed, her mindset had improved quite a bit. Elara sat next to her, helping her paint her nails.
Juan looked at Elara's gentle demeanor. Her long lashes, like transparent wings, rested delicately on her eyelids. "How are you and Lysander doing now?"
Elara replied, "We're fine." She lifted her head and looked at Juan. "What? Do you still like him? If you're thinking that now I might break up with him and you can be with him, that's not going to happen."
"No," Juan said, her voice a bit flustered. "I'm not thinking like that anymore. I haven't had any intentions toward him for a long time."

Chapter 200
Seeing how nervous Juan seaned, Elara smiled. "I was just joking. Don't overthink it. How are you doing now?"
"I'm doing well," Juan said. "The doctor said my leg might still have hope. Maybe I'll be able to stand again someday." "Really?" Elara said. "That's great."
Juan looked at Elara, her expression softening. "By the way, I have something for you."
"What is it?" Elara asked, curious.
Juan took out a glass jar from the drawer beside her, filled with many paper stars that she had folded herself.
Juan said, "Christmas is coming soon, so I prepared a gift for you in advance. I know you don't lack anything, and I wasn't sure what to get. I hope you won't think it's too simple."
Elara felt a little embarrassed when she heard Juan's words. "You shouldn't have! I feel so bad now. I didn't even prepare a gift for you."
"It's fine," Juan replied. "You already gave me flowers, and that made me so happy."
Every time Elara came over, she would spend time talking with Juan. Juan wasn't usually the talkative type, but she always enjoyed her time with Elara.
Juan had never had any close friends who were women before. She wasn't good at dealing with people. Elara was the first person who genuinely wanted to be her friend. Elara smiled. "In that case, I'll accept the gift."
She finished doing Juan's nails and cleaned her hands. Looking at the beautiful nails, Elara asked, "How does it look? Is it okay?"
Juan nodded. "This is my first time getting a manicure."
"I know," Elara said. "That's why I wanted you to try everything, even if it's something new."
Although Juan spent most of her time in the rehabilitation center, Elara didn't want her to lose hope for the future.
Juan nodded. "I will."
After leaving the rehabilitation center, Elara sat on the way down the mountain road.
She shook the jar in her hand and asked Lysander, "Do you think it's pretty?"
Lysander glanced at her. "What is it?"
"Juan gave it to me. She said it's an early Christmas gift," Elara said.
"You accept gifts so casually" Lysander asked.
"She's not a guy," Elara replied. "Why shouldn't I accept it?"
Seeing that Lysander was sulking, Elara couldn't help but laugh. "Are you still jealous of Juan? Lysander, your possessiveness
is unbelievable. I can understand you being upset when there are other guys around me, but she's a girl."
"She doesn't have pure intentions toward you," Lysander said. "Who knows what she's planning?"
"It's okay. I like guys." Elara shot back.

Chapter 206-
1. BG.
"I don't believe her," he said.
"You don't know her," Elara said. "How do you know that? Did she tell you that?"
Lysander looked at Elara, who seemed completely unconcerned and was at a loss for words.

"She's the type who easily develops feelings for anyone. Whoever is nice to her, she falls for them, regardless of gender," he said.
"I don't think that's true. She didn't seem that way. In fact, she used to like you," said Elara.
"We are the same type. I know her well enough, don't I?" Lysander retorted.
Elara was silent for a moment after hearing his words before responding, "I'm not treating you well, and why do me?",

Lysander stared at her. Seeing her calm expression, he lowered his head and bit her lip fiercely. "Elara, you're just taking advantage of the fact that I like you." Magnus was driving when he suddenly cursed and swerved the car into the mountainside.
Elara jumped in surprise and, when she reacted, realized that Lysander had wrapped his arms around her. She froze for a moment, staring at him in disbelief. "What happened?" she asked, still in shock.
Lysander furrowed his brow, opened the car door, and got out. An out-of-control large truck had nearly veered off the road, with its front end hanging dangerously over the edge. Lysander picked Elara up from the car and then turned to look at the scene. Magnus said, "The driver might have been too tired, and now... Lysander, what should we do?" Lysander replied, "Save the people."
Crispin's car followed behind, and after stopping, they began helping by calling the police.
Elara stood to the side, watching the scene unfold. She couldn't help with much, so she tried not to get in the way. She saw Lysander rescue the people from the truck and provide emergency treatment in time. The police and medical personnel arrived shortly after. Crispin stayed behind to handle the situation, and Elara and Lysander left first.
In the car, Elara looked at Lysander. "You're injured."
Lysander glanced at the small scrape on his arm. "It's nothing."
Elara noticed how calm he seemed, as if this sort of thing didn't faze him.
"You weren't afraid the car might flip over when you got in earlier?" Elara had been terrified, but she hadn't dared say anything at the time. Lysander said, "If I didn't help him, he might have died there."
Seeing Elara looking at him, he added, "I know my limits and can judge danger. Don't worry."
