Chapter Part 18
***Sorry the story hasn't been steamy yet but Anna's background was important to set up the next stage in her life. But fear not it's about to get nasty!!!***
After dinner, Jack invited me back to his house to discuss the adjustments to his draft. Normally I wouldn't go back to a guys place without knowing a lot more about them but being with him felt comfortable and safe. Plus he made me feel sexy. Like the way he traced circles on the inside of my wrist while waiting for our food. How he brushed my hair off my shoulder to expose my neck and placed his hand on the open back dress sending shivers down my spine. Or the few times he leaned in close and whispered something into my ear causing the heat from his breath to make me gasp. His voice was so husky and demanding that my panties were soaked. He knew just was to say and how to say it to make me nearly cum at the table without even going anywhere near my pussy. I was nervous but after my third glass of champagne I started flirting back. Which is another reason why I agreed to go back to his place.
We arrived at his three story Victorian style rent house and went straight to his office. He lit a fire as I walked around admiring the tons of books he had along the shelves. He sat on the couch and gestured for me to sit beside him. I sat down and he placed his arm behind me on the back of the couch and leaned into me. He was tense and I knew he was about to jump out of his skin but he behaved.
"That dress is making me go crazy, Anna. If I weren't such a gentlemen I would have ripped it off of you as soon as we got back into my car." He said in a low voice.
"Jack, I tried to tell myself that this night was going to be strictly professional. Now I get the feeling you think it's more." I looked up at him nervously between my long lashes.
"Don't deny the attraction between us, Anna. Hell even the waiters at the restaurant didn't want to come to the table to refill our glasses. Thank God they didn't because I don't know how I would have hidden my frustration if they had interrupted." He said as he moved closer to me on the couch. He swept my hair away from my eyes and tucked it behind my ear. His touch left traces of heat along my cheekbone and my entire body flushed. I couldn't help but bite my lower lip. "If you don't stop bitting your lip, I'm going to bite it myself and show you how frustrating you make me feel."
I let go of my lip and gasped at his boldness. Our eyes locked as he brushed his thumb across my lips and leaned in. He pulled me closer and placed a soft, affectionate kiss on my mouth then pulled away. I placed my hands on his chest and he growled in frustration. He brought his forehead to mine and said "Anna, you don't know how bad I want you. I tried to stay away but something about you keeps pulling me in. If you would only know who I truly was, you wouldn't be sitting in this office with me."
I lifted my head and said "Everyone has a past, Jack. Sometimes it's easy letting go and other times it can be hard. I also realized that I don't know a lot about you but I would like to." That was all it took for him to grab me and pull me to him, locking our lips in a furious kiss full of passion. I let my hands explore his chest and arms as he held me by the nape of my neck and hungrily left a trail of kisses down my jaw. He slowly made his way back up to my ear, nipping my lobe making me moan while he smiled against my cheek. My body was alive with need and the longer we sat there teasing each other the hotter I got. My breathing became shallow and I felt like I was choking. My clothes felt too tight and all I wanted was to rip them off. With one swift movement Jack pulled us up and wrapped his arms around me sending waves of heat up and down my body. I wanted him so bad but something in me resisted and I pulled away, suddenly feeling cold and lonely. The look of surprise on Jack's face was devastating.
"Anna, I'm sorry I just couldn't keep my hands off of you. I hope I didn't cross any boundaries?"
"No, Jack you didn't. I just...it's just..."
"Why don't we sit back down. You look like you're about to pass out. Are you feeling ok?"
"I'm just a little flush. That's all. Jack I really enjoy spending time with you but I think this is going a little too fast. I mean I haven't exactly been with a lot of men. Well. Any men, to be exact." I whispered and couldn't help the embarrassment in my voice. I kept my eyes down staring at my hands in my lap.
"Anna, look at me. Are you telling me you're still a...virgin?" I looked at him on the verge of tears as he jumped to his feet running his hands through his hair and cursing under his breath. He paced in front of the couch for what felt like an eternity before he stopped in front of the fireplace.
With his back towards me I said "I'm sorry, Jack. I never should have come here." I turned on my heel and ran out the door towards the street.
