A love to last

Chapter Ep3

Alexa's

POV

It's been quite a while since we had a small lunch at the cafe that day. Three weeks I think. Since then, him walking me to my class, waiting for me after school and also roaming around the city after school together has been a regular thing.

And I love it with him.

The bell rang. I grabbed my things and walked out of the school. But this time when I came near

the gates where Felix is usually waiting for me, he was already talking with a girl.

They were smiling and laughing at each other and also the girl punched him when he said something, making her laugh.

She was indeed beautiful. She had long blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes.

They didn't seem like they were flirting, but I couldn't ignore the pang that hit me straight in my chest either.

Shit! I have a huge crush on Felix Colton!

Felix looked up and his eyes caught mine. He smiled.

"Come on here." He called and I did.

"Hey...." I said awkwardly.

"Hi. Meet her, Grace. She's my mother's friend's daughter." He said. Then, Grace punched his bicep.

"You mean I'm not your friend?" She said, giving him a warning look. He chuckled and shook his head.

"Of course you are. Anyways, this is my Cupcake, Alexa." He introduced and I blushed.

"Oooh. Alexa.... Heard a lot about you." Grace said and smirked towards Felix.

Was that a blush I see on his cheeks?

"You're lucky dude. She's hot, cute and gorgeous. A whole package you have gotten." She said and Felix scowled at her.

"And it's better if you keep your hands to yourself." He warned her.

"Whatever. I think I should get going. See ya. And it was nice to meet you, Alex." She walked to a white car and then drove away.

I turned to Felix again.

"How about we go to a park before I drop you to your home?" He said with a smile. I smiled back but shook my head.

"Sorry, not today. My Mom's at home and Dad's coming too. Some other time maybe?" His smile dropped for a second but returned back.

"Sure. I'll just drop you home then."

....

"Bye Felix-"I

"I got cut off by a deep voice that I had heard a quite while ago.

"Alexa?" I turned and saw my Dad smiling at me from the window but then frowned as his gaze landed on Felix.

He came outside, opening his arms for me. I ran to him and hugged him tightly.

"Aw! I missed you, Lexi." He said. I giggled and nodded.

"I missed you too, dad." I sighed.

"Who's that?" He asked, glaring at Felix.

He got out of the car and smirked towards Dad.

"Been a long time, huh?" He said. Dad immediately let me go and ran to him.

What?

"It's been a very long time, Felix. Look how grown up you are now. Going to gym, uh?" Dad punched his bicep. Felix chuckled, rubbing his arm and nodded.

"You can say that." He answered. Dad the turned to me, with his one arm still around Felix's shoulders.

"Lexi, you remember him? You two used to play with each other when you were one and two year old," WHAT?

"Yeah, Mom told me about it but I don't remember anything of it." Felix said, sheepishly.

"Of course you don't, you two were very small at that time." Dad chuckled. "Come on in, bud. Let's have lunch together." Dad said and without giving him any chance to speak, he pulled him inside the house.

Leaving me behind.

Did he forget about me already?

....

"Why the grumpy face, Cupcake?" Felix smirked and asked as I came down in my shorts and t- shirt. I rolled my eyes and walked to the kitchen.

"Come on, Princess. Don't be like that." He whined and pouted. I almost melted on the scene in front of me.

Almost.

As I walked out of the kitchen, I got yanked back, my back bumping into his chest as I yelped. "Don't give me that attitude, Muffin." He whispered in my ear. Goosebumps rose on my body.

I hate the way my body reacts to his touch.

He pulled me to a nearby guest room and pinned me to the door, closing it.

"What's the problem here? Talk to me." He said and narrowed his eyes on me. I gulped the lump formed in my throat and looked at the ground as I spoke.

"Was that the only reason you talked to me?" I asked in a whisper.

"What reason?"

"That our parents have known each other from a while?" I asked. He sighed and cupped my face

in his palms, making me look up at him.

"No, Lex. Don't you see?" His eyes softened.

"See what?"

"That I like you. I like you Alexa. Even more than I should. Every time you walk around me, all I think is about grabbing your face and kissing it senselessly. You make me smile, you make me laugh and even do stupid things that I never did for any other person." He chuckled at the end. Our faces were too close to each other. His gaze averted to my lips from my eyes. I closed my eyes as I felt his thumb trailing on my lower lip. His warm breath was fanning my face. Just when I thought he was going to kiss me.....

"Alex! Felix! Where are you guys? Come on lunch's ready!" Mom yelled. We both jerked back and came back to reality.

"Coming Aunt Mary!" Felix yelled back at her. He then turned to me. "Next time, I hope we don't get interrupted." He smirked and winked as he left.

Holy shit! What the heck just happened!?

I relaxed a bit and then came downstairs to join everyone for lunch.

As I took a seat at the table, Felix looked up and winked at me. And of course it went unnoticed

by my parents as they were busy chatting about something.

I blushed and digged in my food.

After dinner, Felix, dad and mom were talking.

"You guys should come someday to the house. I'm sure Mom and Dad will love it." Felix said.

"Sure. It would be nice to meet them after a long time." Dad said and Mom smiled.

He left a few minutes later and winked at me before going.

What a day it was!
